"Grand Central Terminal's renovation was masterful. The building, especially the ceiling and chandeliers are a must see and add to the overall dining experience. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Our waiter made great recommendations and the food was amazing."

"We have been a group of 10 people. For this we had to pay 20% service, without getting a real good service. The steaks, which we have ordered have been mixed up, Almost noone of the group got the steak, he or she had ordered (medium/medium rare, medium to well done). The quality of the meat is not recommandable. I had often perfect steaks in America, but for this steak I would not visit the restaurant any more and also not recommand it to a friend. The service was slow although the restaurant was not fully booked. The server was stressed and not very polite especially when we asked to devide the bill."

"I ordered a cobb salad with avocado, chicken, and blue cheese instead of the egg and bacon. First they brought me the wrong salad, but it had plenty of avocado and egg. Then they brought mine and honestly I have never received so little chicken, blue cheese, and avocado on a cobb salad in my life. It was like a treasure hunt to find the few pieces of each that were included. I don't get it. I was stunned, but I did not want to embarrass my guest so I said nothing. When I ordered, I was told that it is usually served with a piece of chicken on top. I asked to have mine chopped. I would have hated to see that piece of chicken before it was chopped. Honestly I do not think it was even a 1 inch by 2 inch piece of chicken before it was chopped."

"My husband and I were celebrating our honeymoon in NYC and wanted to have one nice restaurant meal instead of the usual burger or pizza places! From the minute we stepped in were were taken aback by the service and atmosphere the place has! We had great table overlooking the concourse ! The food was out of this world! We shared the garlic bread with Gorgonzola cheese fondue,..,, this has to be the best starter we've ever had! My husband asked the waiter what the biggest steak was and that's what he ordered!!! The steak was literally melt in the mouth. I would highly highly recommend this restaurant to anyone wanting a special occasion meal or fancies a bit of fine dining for a nice change! Thank for for making our honeymoon so special!"

"Delicious food. Steak was raw instead of rare but that's how I like it. Very good for business lunch. Would highly recommend. "The ambience of MJ's is hard to beat. While the vantage point overlooking the main concourse of Grand Central is awesome, MJ's has a surprisingly comfortable and even intimate atmosphere. You would think it would be noisy, but it is not at all. The food is very nicely prepared and presented. The service was very good."

"An exceedingly disappointing dining experience. It was the worst & most expensive meal of our holiday. The server was reluctant to provide any service. The food was not cooked properly. Most of our meal was left on out plates & still nobody asked why. after complaining to the restaurant it took a week to respond. Was bitterly disappointed."

"Had a birthday dinner for my wife. Wanted the occasion to be special and it was. Food was very good. We all had steaks with a number of appetizers and side dishes. Everyone was happy with their selections. Only criticism is that meat came out cooked on the rare side rather than medium. Service I felt was outstanding. Our waiter was attentive but not obtrusive. Food served at reasonable intervals. The ambiance in Grand Central Station was elegant yet comfortable. Surprisingly it is not noisy and our table was easily able to converse. Found prices to be reasonable. Had ordered flowers for my wife to be delivered to the restaurant and they were waiting for her on the table. Will definitely go back."

"The service at MJ's Steah House was very poor. Our orignal waiter basically ignored us and didn't approach us until we flagged him down. Midway through the meal our waiter's shift ended and another waiter introduced himself as our new waiter. We did not see the new waiter again until we had to flag him down for the check. Besides the steak the food was subpar. This restaurant does not rate a second visit."

"Ate at Michael Jordan's on Monday, March 18. Only complaint was that while I waited for my dinner companion to arrive, I got no service whatsoever. I had to ask a random waiter for a glass of wine and water. On the plus side, the food was delicious, I happen to like the view of Grand Central Terminal below, the noise factor in the dining room is much better than in the bar area. And I love the convenience - I hop off the train, have dinner, and hop back on to get home. This has been my choice of restaurants when meeting this particular dinner companion on several occasions."

"If you're passing through Grand Central and want a bite to eat, just look up. Great spot for a business lunch or dinner in midtown. Can be a bit noisy due to it being inside Grand Central, but nonetheless a great place to grab a reasonably priced steak."

"My guests really liked the setting. It was a bit noisy, but not too bad. I thought the steak was good but not up to NY steakhouse standards. There was some gristle and the flavor, while fine, did not stand out. The servers paid exactly as much attention to us as we wanted."

"Read bad reviews and wasn't expecting much, especially in terms of service. The hostess couldn't have been friendlier, even when we asked to move our reservation back a bit. Service was fine, not exceptional. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and the sides of mushrooms and spinach were delicious. The chocolate cake was not worth the calories. One of the main reasons for returning is the view from the balcony."

"The food was terrible. Expensive. And terrible. Only thing that was decent was a burger. But we went for the view, which even considering the bad food, made it a fun time.
Kid got popcorn shrimp.An unseasoned bland lump of over-fried batter. I know it's "popcorn shrimp," but that's what he wanted. And it was terrible. Also had a lobster roll, a limp, unseasoned mess. Even the desserts were bad. The breadsticks however, were OUTSTANDING!!!
If only the Oyster Bar was open on President's day."

"I generally like this place but the last time I went, they overcooked the steaks. this is the first time this has happened to me there, and I'm quite sure they would have fixed it if asked, but we were in a hurry. On the balance, I will go someplace else next time, but will probably try again in the future, as its generally a convenient and decent quality steakhouse. Note to the management though; consistency!!"

"I have dined at the restaurant in CT IT WAS SUCH A GREAT experience that I thought it would be great in NYC. What a disappointment. Service was lousy, our waiter could hardly speak English, we had to ask for things several times, and the food was lackluster. "The wait staff were wonderful but the waiter himself was horribly slow (we waited 20 mins before someone else asked if we were ready to order). The food was so-so, but we had much better food elsewhere in NY, and for less money. This may have been worth the money if the service hadn't been so incredibly poor. Waiter also put a $70 bottle of wine on our bill and corrected it once it was pointed out, but rather than apologize, he chose to tell us it was meant for the other table and well, these things happen. Sigh. I went out and ate at the hot dog cart outside when we were done."
