Guido's Restaurant, in West LA, has been serving up authentic Northern Italian cuisine incorporating the freshest ingredients and traditional family-style recipes passed on from generation to generation. So whether you are sitting inside enjoying the ambiance near the fireplace, sipping a glass of that special bottle of wine from our cellar, or relaxing in the patio taking in the night breeze while sipping on a warm cappuccino, Guido's is your choice for a cozy-neighborhood restaurant experience.
"Our group of six enjoyed the good food while celebrating a special occasion. It was a pleasant change to be able to hear each other's conversation while dining."

"We asked for as quiet a spot as they had, a table as opposed to a booth and got just that. Though the restaurant was busy, we were able to have a normal conversation without having to speak loudly to each other--a rarity in restaurants these days. The room was dimly lit and had a warm feel. The food was excellent--from the minestrone soup, the salmon (for me), the shrimp scampi (for my husband)and the fresh vegetables. The carrot cake was to die for. Service was excellent."

"Caesar salad worst I have ever eaten. Overdressed and nothing resembled a caesar salad. Linguini with seafood was tasteless. Very large, and enough to share if I liked it. Waiter said it was not large enough to share, so I made the mistake of ordering a regular portion. Bought half home, but no one liked it. Sand dabs were floating in sauce."

"I had been wanting to come to this restaurant for years and for some reason never went. Finally did and they did not disappoint. I went with my family (husband and two boys 8,10). Unpeccable friendly service and great italian cuisine. The chicken parmejan and gnocchi were great and so was the frutti salad. Great old world atmosphere and I felt like Frank Sinatra was going to walk in any moment. Definately go."

"As always, Angel, Ruben and the other staff made us feel at home. The food is always consistently delicious and the wait staff is very attentive and friendly. One of my most favorite West LA restaurants!"

"Wonderful neighborhood spot with a darkened, romantic ambience. The elegant, polished-wood bar, unobtrusive but attentive service, and authentic Italian atmosphere create just the perfect place for a private intimate dinner or a gathering of friends. We found the wine list to be a little on the expensive side, but the selections are excellent; entrees are well-priced and our friends found many dishes to be very good to excellent--a truly enjoyable dining experience."

"The fireplace and red-bulded leaded-glass lamps provide a subdued atmosphere. The staff accomodated my request for a half order of penne carbonara that came loaded with traditional panchetta and an accent of green peas. My partners shrimp was NOT "over bcooked like rubber", as requested and a oral delight because of it! Ask for one of the curved booths, sink in, and enjoy a by-gone treasure not readily found in LA."

"Guido's has added several vegetarian entrees to the menu, making it much more appealing to us. The quiet room and efficient service make it a perfect place for conversation."

"Guido's broke my heart a little on Valentine's Day. They shortened their menu and doubled the pricing as a 'special' Valentine's menu. There was no mention of this on their website or OpenTable. I'll go back to my favorite neighborhood Italian restaurant, but never on a holiday."

"Nice to have an old style restaurant where the waiters wear a tux and know how to please . The atmosphere is very friendly, warm with a fireplace not filled chrome and loud music as so many of the " in" restaurants have moved to create some filling of activity!"

"A delicious Guido's chopped salad...excellent Chicken Milanaise. Bread (rolls) and pasta need improvement. Old world ambiance (red booths, waiters in tux) add to the charm. Service always caring. You can actually hear the conversation at the table as the atmosphere provides distance between the tables and quiet prevails as opposed to blairing music and no soundproofing in many other restaurants."

"The food was very good , but the service was not so great. We decided to sit out side were it was a little cool it could of been very Romantic, but the lights were to bright or at least the tables could of had dimmer lights. the cold could of been fixed with a few of the new type heaters that give off even heat. The service was really bad every table that was full were complaining. The waiter almost never came out the food , drinks etc were very slow. A lot of people would of loved to come out of the big noisy room inside. The owner needs to pay attention to his costumers walking around to make sure they are getting good service inside and OUT"
