"arrived on time for 7 pm reservation and promptly seated, orders were taken and first courses were served and finished by 7:30. At 7:45 asked when main courses, pasta, would be ready were told shortly. By 8 PM my 4 year old grandaughter was asleep and her 10 year old brother was starving. The waiter came and gave my adult son a free glass of wine. 10 minutes later no food and my wife told the waiter we were leaving. He said the food was on the way. It did indeed arrive then. I like pasta al dente which is the way it should be cooked. But this was so hard it was dificult to chew. It obviously had been served before being adequately cooked. We won"t be returning."

"We had been staying at the Hotel del Coronado and wanted to try a restaurant not affiliated with the hotel for a change of pace. Based on recommendations I saw here and in Trip Advisor, I decided to give it a try. The food was outstanding. I had veal marsala, my husband had a pasta with butternut squash and our son had fettucine alfred. All were very tasty!!! Our servers were friendly and attentive. It was much louder than I had expected but everyone was having a good time!!! I highly recommend this restaurant."

"One block from the beach and 1 block from the Del so expect both tables of energetic friends and quiet tables on a date night. Dress causual or formal and you'll fit in fine."

"We have enjoyed several fine meals here since they opened the Coronado location. Our last visit was a celebration with our adult daughter and we could not have asked for a nicer evening. Superlative, cordial service and wonderful meals all around. In sum, a most enjoyable night out."

"My kids and I took my wife and mom here for Mother's Day. The service was fabulous five star. We were there at 11:30 am. There was no rushing us through. We were seated exactly on time. The food was five star ( I have been in over 1000 restaurants as my career dictates). Parking is easy down below ( just do not bring a high SUV...won't fit!). Although I live in East County, I will make the trip. Wanna try HAPPY HOUR too!"

"We went for the special cooking class lunch that a friend recommended. She knows we love good food and we are so happy we did. Besides the gorgeous weather, the entire staff of this restaurant made everything perfect. We felt like we were on vacation. Scallops were the best and had so much fun, missed much of the demonstration, but we have our recipes and homemade biscotti that were given to us as we departed made by the asst. to the chef who is also a pastry chef. Shared those at a dinner party that night. We will be back to dine on the patio and I heard they have a piano lounge. So much to see and eat!"

"Don't dress like a slob if you plan on eating here. Classy dining with a relaxing atmosphere. Food was delicious and the wait staff was outstanding. Lots of specials to choose from. Top notch wine service as well. Although, I wish he had a white cloth over his forearm when he presented it. Always a nice presentation thing. Overall, I would definitely take a girl back there on a date. The piano player in the bar area was a nice touch as well."

"My husband's veal was really good! He loved his entree and his oyster appetizer. My tagliatelle with bolognese sauce was not very good. The pasta was incredibly fresh and delicious, but the sauce was not very good."

"I really want to reccomend this, but honestly much of the pasta looks and tastes like it from a box. Thier "homemade" pasta is better, but its just not special. Looks like there is a lot of grade inflation going on on the ratings, don't be fooled. There has to be something better around the area.
Staff was great, service was good, I like the physical resturant."

"I feel very relaxed in this restaurant and return many times for their wonderful food and service. In addition to enjoying the food and atmosphere, I also spend one night per month in the piano bar listening to the piano player and his guest singer."

"My group of five went for Easter Brunch.Several tables were empty in the front main dining room where we were just about seated. Then, someone asked if those tables were reserved. There seemed to be some confusion. We were then seated in the Ocean Room, alone. It was kind of desolate, no Easter decorations or flowers or anything. Our server finally appeared and it was basically just us and him. A group was seated approximately five minutes before we left. The food was good, nothing too special. We had to chase our server down for our check long after we were obviously done eating. More of a service/planning issue than a food issue. I just thought it would be a bit festive for Easter Brunch and that was disappointing."

"Thank you for making our Easter Sunday Dinner so special. I appreciated the hostess calling earlier that day to confirm our reservations for the holiday. From the moment we walked into the restaurant, the staff greeted us warmly and made us feel like we were family. The restaurant itself was absolutely gorgeous. The main dining room was perfectly situated so that the afternoon sun could pour in from the windows. The Tuscan decor was elegant and sophisticated. We were seated at a table overlooking the balcony adorned with flower baskets. Our waitress and male server were exceptional and were both very accommodating. Our appetizers, not only did they look good, they tasted amazing. The dinner entrees were delicious as well."

"My wife and I celebrated anniversary and had wonderful dinner. We were seated away from crowd with sunset view. A card from staff was accompanied by excellent service and meal. Definetly a great place for dinning on special or any occasion."

"It was just a fair dinner, made better by the service and ambiance. The calamari/shrimp appetizer was chewy and rubbery, and not worth the money for the portion. We prefer Primavera, and likely won't be back to Vigilucci's next time."

"The food was superb, the service was great, the place has a beautiful inside water fall that looks amazing, the dinning patio is decorated beautifully and there is live music, a pianist who may .ot be in the Grammys but was entertaining. There was another couple also celebrating their anniversary and we both received a delicious complementary cremme brulee with a candle."

"This was one of the best restaurant experiences that I've ever had. They accommodated everything and exceeded my expectations. Food service was quick and excellent. It only took half an hour from the time we were seated to the time we received our food. It was an amazing experience and I definitely recommend it."

"Great overall experience; the waitstaff was knowledgeable and helpful. The service itself was extremely efficient - we were never left wanting for anything, and there wasn't an empty glass the entire evening. The food was very good, certainly top-tier in my experience for Italian food, and a standout for quality in the more touristy part of Coronado. My expectations were exceeded. We had dinner guests that happened to be Italian, familiar with making their own pasta, and they were impressed as well. Well done.. we'll be back."

"Very poorly trained staff. The waiter kept calling my wife and I "you guys". He was self one to be found, never refilled our drinks and we had to depend on other busboys and wait staff to get anything at all. The food was overpriced and average. We would not return. This was supposed to be a romantic "valentines" meal but the restaurant really missed the mark. We had a great evening but not die to this restaurant!"
