"June has started doing pop up dinners on Wednesdays. This week it was Puerto Rican. The menu is set with two different menus per month. This week the flan for dessert had my fellow diners licking their spoons like little kids. I highly recommend June."

"Dinner was very good, although it took two hours to get all of our courses delivered. I believe there was a wedding party in theback room though. Nevertheless, the manager comped our drinks. Waiter was very friendly and knowledgeable. Great atmosphere, the open kitchen is a nice touch. 230 dollar bill for 3 three-course meals and drinks."

"June is a Peoria treasure. We've dined at 5 Star restaurants all over the USA, and June is right up there with the best. Quantities of food are small and, for the area, the price is high, but the quality and presentation of ALL the selections are second to none. We have dined at June several times and the experience is always superior. We've never been disappointed at June."

"The new Wednesday night meals are a hit and a great way to visit June in a more relaxed style. I do believe, however, that some of what has consistently set June apart is lost in this much busier, more chaotic setting. The service is not nearly as good as it's been in the past and I believe that adding a few dollars to each plate won't affect reservations and will allow more servers to be on hand which will increase beverage sales while providing a better experience for the diners. I hope this gets worked out because the plan is brilliant, it's just that the execution needs some fine tuning."

"My wife and I recently celebrated our 28th wedding anniversary at June's. We chose the tasting menu with the wine pairings. The quality of food was superb and the portions were such that we didn't feel stuffed when we were done. We will definitely return."

"My husband and I had the seven course tasting with wine pairing. It was fabulous. Every course was visually stunning, and the food was exceptional. I was wondering if I was going to be full at the end of the meal due to a few reviews I had read prior to our visit. I was absolutely full by the end of the night. Did not disappoint in anyway. We did not want the night to end. We will absolutely come back to June."

"We are blessed to have the best chef in the Great Lakes region, and please don't take my word for it, this is from Food and Wine magazine. This is the next best thing for foodies, other than a guest appearance on Iron Chef, "fat chance"... You see your food prepped, plated, served and an explanation of what you about to partake. Even seemingly mundane items are taken to a new level of sublime; try the egg! Every experience my wife and I have had at June is the topic of conversation for days.
Now if I can just land a gig as a Sous chef...."

"We attended the Thai "pop-up" event. The pad thai was mediocre: It lacked balance from acid and the caramelization that makes the dish special. The porkbelly was soggy and fatty - not in a good way. Finally, except for some sprigs of cilantro, there was no addition of crispy fresh veggies such as bean sprouts that usually provide a mixture of textures with the noodles. The two bites of papaya salad were excellent. The coconut "custard" was like firm tofu and missed all the rich, luscious elements associated with custard. Finally, our press coffee was shockingly weak. Our bill for two with wine came to $77-an expensive disappointment. Nothing like the exuberant pop-up events we have attended in New York and London."

"This was not our first time at the restaurant, and we are aware it is all about the dining experience. Unfortunately, the poor service overshadowed the food. After waiting a long time for our first course, the wrong dish was brought to us; a staff member argued with me after I requested silverware used during the first course to be replaced (after they had just taken away un-used silverware); and we had to flag down staff to request additional drinks. After spending almost 2 hours in the restaurant, it did not seem we got much in return."

"Josh Adams has brought his own blend of creative farm-to-table cuisine to Peoria, and thanks to him for that! His restaurant is a delight and chef Josh continues to experiment and improve. Watching him and his crew prepare courses in his impeccably clean open kitchen is almost as fun as the eats. Portions are small, but the idea is to order 2 or 3 and enjoy. Many people in this area are of the all-you-can-eat persuasion, but June has stayed true to its philosophy of seasonal ingredients prepared with great skill and invention.
His Wednesday night pop-up dinners are inexpensive and fun, and are a nice change from the usual fine dining menu.

"Last nights dinner was a disaster. My husband and I had reservations for 6:00 dinner and tickets for a 7:30 theatre. At 4:00 I called to confirm the reservation, advise them of our time constraints, and offered to come at 5:30 instead of 6:00. I was assured that 6:00 was fine,there would be no problem meeting our time frame for dinner. When we arrived at 5:45 I reminded our server of our 7:30 performance. We were seated and waited 20 minutes to have our drink order take. A second server arrived about 10 minutes later and said she was now our server. I told her of our 7:30 theatre tickets. She took our order and brought our drinks. Our first course was served at 6:45. The main course arrived at 7:15 with an offer to bag it to go! Really!"

"My boyfriend and I went to June on Valentine's Day for the special tasting menu. Even though we had made reservations over a month early, we still had to wait in the small waiting area for about 15 minutes--there was no one at the front desk. Once we were actually seated everything went pretty smoothly and the food was FANTASTIC. It seemed like the place was just overwhelmed with the whole Valentine's crowd, but I think they have beyond great potential for normal days."

"We have been to June several times and enjoyed it each time. On this occasion we were celebrating 3 birthdays and a retirement. The staff made it a very enjoyable experience. "This is the second Pop Up Wednesday Dinner that we have attended. Each one has a theme which incorporated in the main entree and the dessert. Also two drink specialties are offered. It is a great way to sample what this place has to offer. There is a great deal of thought and work that goes into the preparation of all the dishes. We have never been disappointed."
