"I've been to a few of the Morton's in CA. Other's also agree that this is the best Morton's in CA. They have excellent service and the food for wonderful. I celebrated my wedding annivsary and Mother's day here. We started out with oysters on the half shell and the Ahi Tuna Tower. Both were excellent. Our entrees were delicious and our beverage glasses were never empty. I highly recommend this Morton's."

"Can't go wrong with the food at Morton's. Although the service left a bit to be desired. Hostess sat us and knew we were interested in Red Wings score. Promised to come back and update us all night. Never once came back. Our waitress seemed unhappy with her role. Wasn't up to the Morton's standard we enjoy in other states."

"My husband and I went to Morton's to celebrate his birthday. We have dined there before and once again were extremely pleased with the food and service. The Cajon rib eye steak was outstanding! The shrimp cocktail cold and delicious and we were excited to see the macaroni and cheese back on the menu. The manager and staff wished my husband a happy birthday several times throughout our evening and made sure we were well taken care. We then enjoyed a complimentary soufflé for a birthday dessert. It was an overall a fantastic dining experience."

"The only trouble we have had has been with the wine inventory. This visit they did not have a chilled bottle of our selection available causing an undue delay in the service.
Also they continue to serve an unappetizing loaf of bread rather than decent dinner rolls or decent artisan bread. As we don't eat their bread it does not affect our dining enjoyment."

"The formula for this chain restaurant needs a bit of tweaking in two areas: Service and service. The food is quite good and well prepared. We had a variety of dishes, including salads, seafood, steaks and shortribs. Almost all were quite well-prepared (if a bit salty). The one exception was the scallops, which smelled quite "over-ripe" and very salty, to the point of inedibility. The service aspect was two-fold: 1) Very slow, to the point of neglect; 2) Constant bumping of chairs as bussers and servers passed behind all of us. When we complained, the manager treated us to a ridiculous, nonsensical excuse, rather than an apology and correction. We would now never accept a table at this restaurant with any passageway behind a chair."

"I had booked a reservation and at that time indicated we were celebrating my husband's birthday, not thinking much of it. When we arrived at the restaurant, we were greeted warmly and when giving my name for the reservation, everyone greeted my husband with a loud "Happy Birthday" The restaurant provided special menus to us to indicate that it was a special occasion so thereafter, every staff member that passed wished him a happy birthday. After ordering, the hostess came by and offered to take our picture which was presented to us in a nice black Morton's card. They also threw in a complimentary dessert due to his birthday. the food and service here is allways wonderful, but it was that special attention for his birthday that made it"

"We had not been to Morton's in a few years, and we were glad that we returned.
The food was excellent and the service was top drawer. The steaks were all cooked exactly as ordered and all of the side dishes and salads were great. The service was helpful, friendly, and efficient. The wine list is very solid, though a bit pricey.
We will definitely be going back here in the near future."

"Everything was ok except for the fact that the tuna tower was not as fresh as always and they brought the order of my plates reversed.
Somedoby in our party got their meat well done when he asked for it medium and then they took so long to bring the meat cooked properly that we no longer wanted it anymore.

"I have the highest praise for Morton's! We were celebrating my wife's birthday and the staff was absolutely amazing. We could feel the extra effort made for our occasion. The warmth from the reception as we arrived all the way to when we departed, was memorable. Been to many restaurants and our experience at Morton's would be in the top 5. "Morton's is located in a shopping center but it was a total surprise. It had a true "old Palm Springs" feel although in Palm Desert. It is surrounded by golf resorts so is busy with tourists as well as local patrons. It also has valet parking available but there is plenty of free parking. We bought our own bottle of wine and paid a corkage fee of $25. The wine list was good for those that want to try one of their suggestions. We will return!"

"This was our first visit. We arrived at 6 p.m.; our reservation was for 7 p.m. We wanted to have a drink in the bar before dinner, but it was completely full and extremely noisy, so that was impossible. We went in for dinner instead. You could still hear the crowd noise from the bar in the dining room, which was fairly empty when we went in. Over the course of the next half hour, however, the dining room filled up and the noise level went way up. It was so loud in fact that it made normal conversation through dinner mostly not possible. For me personally, this ruined the evening because I expected at least a halfway quiet dinner. Yes, food was excellent and the service impeccable, but because of the din, I do not expect to return."

"We have heard that this is a great steak house. Not impressed. Average food and expensive for the quality. I don;t mind paying for a really good bone in rib eye but this was average at the most. Side were disappointing. They serve a nice round loaf of bread but it has onions on it...nothing else without onions. I probably will not go back."

"Having just eaten at Ruth's Chris a week before, we went to Morton's thinking it would be somewhat the same calibre. Not even close - food wise. My ribeye was ordered medium and came to the table charred. Every bite I took I tasted charcoal. The other three in our group had better luck. Their steaks were good but we all agreed did not hold a candle to Ruth's Chris extreme heat seared and butter grilled steak. Will say this for Morton's. The staff that waited on us were the best you could ever hope for, they kept the waters full and just all around provided excellent service."

"Comp valet parking is great but it left no where to park your own car except a long walk from a grocery store lot.NOT A IDEAL PLACE TO LEAVE A NICE CAR,WHILE ALL OF MORTONS PARKING WAS BLOCKED OFF FOR VALET AND WAS ALMOST EMPTY!"

"Our server, Chris, was excellent! I highly recommend him.
The food was mediocre at best---my tenderloin steak had no flavor and the mac and cheese was awful. Kraft mac and cheese our of a box is better. Also two of the four steaks we ordered were overcooked. One person mentioned this to Chris and he brought another one out which was prepared to the requested temperature. The other diner chose not to mention the overdone steak.
Morton's used to be a place I looked forward to going to, especially since the one in Mpls closed. It is no longer on my list of favorite Palm Desert restaurants. We are sticking to Mastro's."

"Could not have had a more wonderful evening. By making reservations online, I was able to note that we were celebrating my husband's birthday and that we wanted a romantic table. When we arrived- they really had gone all out: a menu printed with Happy Birthday, a photographer who took our picture and presented it in a frame, a delicious meal, complementary desert....now, these people know how to make an occasion special! Wow! Wow! Thank you, Mortoms!"
