"I am a frequent visitor to both the Burbank and Los Angeles location, this review is about the downtown LA location.
This was the first time that the service was not to the standard that we normally have become accustomed to. The waiter failed to check on us nor bring proper utensils as well as additional serving plates.
I will however continue to visit this location only because I truly believe that everyone has is entitled to a bad day.

"The food was delicious and the service was great, the only challenge we had was that the restaurant was loud. Initially the noise was just due to the number of people in the room, however, after the crowd began to thin out, background music was turned on (a bit loud). It was unfortunately too loud for our lunch meeting, therefore we probably would not choose to use this venue again for a business lunch."

"Had a fantastic 1st anniversary dinner. They comped us an amazing lemon soufflé. They also took our photo and framed it for us. We had the filet mignon and Chicago style steak both were excellent. Get the filet mignon with truffle butter. Also they had great oysters (Wianno). Service was superb. Thanks for a special time."

"Was a little leery of choosing a 'branded' restaurant for a special event dinner. Everyone of our guests enjoyed the food, wine, service and the ambiance. Due to so many large parties the evening we were at Morton's, the noise level was very high. Gotta give a call out on service as management did not blink an eye when we kept changing the number of guests. We brought a very large and special bottle of wine which the sommelier corked and decanted for us - nothing but gracious about not having us select from the wine list. At least 6 in our party selected food items that included seafood or non-steak choices and they were as satisfied as those that went the more traditional route of beef."

"Had various dishes. Starting with the onion bread with the fluffiest tastiest butter ever. Jumbo baked potato with everything was great. Oysters Rockefeller yummy. Shrimps, crab cake, asparagus spears and the spinach with mushrooms were delicious. Steak was cooked perfectly medium, and was soft and juicy. Wish it had less seasoning as it came out a bit on the salty side.

"I made reservations over my phone real convenient when I arrive I was setted. They knew the occasion I was there for. "It has been a while since I visited this restaurant. I was excited to go back and enjoy the wonderful athmosphere, excellent food and the service. I was also expecting to view and impress my date with the famous Morton's food presentation (in the past your waiter would bring in a few raw food items, including a live lobster, and make presentation about the food they make).
The visit was a disappointment from the first moment we arrived. The place was almost empty on a Friday night. It looked dull and boring (unlike my past visits when it was almost full). With a new management there is no more prsentation. Food quality way below average. Truly a shame."

"We were greeted and seated immediately. Our server was friendly and efficient. "The food was decent. Not nearly as good as San Francisco or Sacramento or Vegas. The presentation was nothing to write home about. Service was not up to par for a Morton's. It was a little disappointing, especially since this is an expensive restaurant you expect above par service. I would try a different restaurant in LA. If I really wanted Morton's I would wait and go to San Fran, Sacramento or Vegas."

"I will not be returning to this restaurant.
The Service: Our waiter zipped through the menu and wasn't very polite. He forgot about our drinks and wasn't very attentive at all.
The Food: The desert was the best part of the night, chocolate cake with vanilla ice cream. The $55 steaks were a disappointment."

"I did not attend the event. I set this up for some of our university personnel. I was called from the restaurant to upgrade to a private room for the group and was told there would not be a charge. Today, one of the university staff advised me there was a charge for the room. This was not what I was originally told. The group had regular reservations which was fine and a private room was not necessary as we did not have any others to show up. Since I was told there was not a charge, I expected that you would not be a charge."

"Surprisingly, Morton's didn't give us that "special" feeling this time - on Valentine's Day, no less! We decided to celebrate at lunch and noticed the ramp-up for the holiday. There were more 2-person tables which made our area more cramped and, because the guests were seated based on party size, the servers had a larger area to cover which caused us to get less service than normal. Had it been crowded, I would have understood. The meal, itself, was not up to standards. Instead, our lunch was not as special."
