"We were celebrating a birthday and graduation, they went above and beyond to make them both feel special. They had special menus printed with their names on them to take home. Then they took a beautiful picture of our party for everyone to take home.We couldn't have picked a better place to celebrate our children's special day ."

"This was the first time for most of the people in our party. The service was excellent. We were supposed to have a larger group but ended up with only 5 people. They still provided the same great service and were flexible when we needed to change the reservation. We were seated early too!
The portions were huge and the presentation was good. The brussels sprouts were phenomenal. I couldn't believe how large the wedge salad was. Also, the chocolate lava cake was perfect.
I love steak au poivre, but this one wasn't quite up there with the best I've ever had. It was good and a very generous portion. It was just good, not great.
All in all, I would recommend this place for special occasions. It is pricey but good."

"Morton's is our go to special occasion restaurant, and we use it to entertain special guests. The food and service are consistently wonderful. The meal always feels special. We see people coming in wearing jeans and t-shirts and with kids, but we come in dressed up and somehow everyone is comfortable. With low lighting and room between the tables you are not impacted by what is happening at other tables. We were there for my husband's birthday so they gave us a complimentary desert of his choice - nice touch."

"We thought the food was overpriced and there was a lack of overall dining "experience". When you pay those prices, you want to create an experience and it just wasn't there. Also, we were completely disappointed in the casual dress of some of the patrons. The couple sitting next to us were wearing a t-shirt and old jeans and a track suit. Really? To a nice establishment like Morton's? I've been to the Morton's in Boston and it was more of a dining destination than the one in Clayton."

"The restaurant is very nice and staff was exceptional. The food and drinks were good but not worth the price. The portions are extremely small and I'm not an overeater so definatley wish more food came with price tag. We had a party of 4; didn't order appetizers, two of us had one drink and and two had two drinks (beer and mixed drinks only) and an entre with salad and one side to share. Price tag was $330 exluduing tip. I won't be back but glad I can say I've been there."

"Superb service and excellent food. Met every request made, plus celebrated my wife's birthday with a photo and comped dessert. It meets the Morton's standard. Naturally the prices are not for the faint of heart, you are going to pay top dollar, but it is worth every penny."

"Enjoyed my birthday dinner there. Andrew was our waiter and did a wonderful job. Loved the personalized menu with Happy Birthday written on it and the group photo they gave to us. They made us feel welcome and catered to our every need. The food and drinks were very good.
The only thing I would change is I went there wanting to have the HUGE prime rib they USED to offer but the new owners took it away. :( I had been dreaming of that prime rib for a few years and was disappointed to see it was gone. Please bring it back...please, please?"

"The ambiance was nice with a cozy, romantic atmosphere and the service was good. Although a big bill was expected, the prices were even higher than we thought they would be. The food was not at all worth the price. $46 for a steak that was a good quality but bland. $28 for the chicken christopher which was just average. $11 for sides which, although large even to share, are very over-priced as well (we had the simple horseradish mashed potatoes). Therefore, overall, even though service and ambiance are nice, you can get the same or better quality food elsewhere with a comparable service/atmosphere."

"The quality of steaks offered by Morton's isn't what it used to be. The meat is not the premium grade that we have come to expect. The preparation is well done but they cannot compensate for the ponderosa type of taste. For a $49 steak, I would look for new options. Other items offered on the menu are very good but I would stay away from the steaks."

"The crab cake appetizer was marvelous. Then however dinner was at least 45 minutes delayed. My wife and I both had mixed grills, she the salmon and I the filet mignon. When they did arrive the steak was rare rather than the medium rare I ordered, the shrimp on both plates were cold, and the baked potato was not baked. The server and maitre d' were both gracious, but the plates should not have been brought to us in the first place and they should have been much more timely."

"We have enjoyed Morton's for years, both in St. Louis and elsewhere. You can count on a consistently good experience, albiet expensive. We challenged ourselves, for fun, to see what we would end up spending if we took advantage of their great $59.99 special. Well, after a few drinks we went over the $100 per person mark again. Great place for that special occasion. One minor negative was being seated in a back room. I should have asked for the main dining room as we love to people watch and missed that during this visit. In all fairness, I could have asked for reseating when we arrived. The manager told us that they are remodeling in October to bring things up a notch."

"The evening was a birthday get together for our small family, and the Morton's Team made it most memorable, in a very positive way, for our son. He has, since high school, been so very sensitive to people treating him like a kid. That did not happen. He does look young for his age and, thankfully, still acts young. The suited gentleman at the door was very cordial to us, even though we had run into more traffic than expected and were 10 min. late for the reservations. I had the feeling that he personally was overseeing our experience all evening. He took a family picture, with copies and cover, for us all, and then the menu was presented with the birthday boys' name at the top. The total experience was far more than we had hoped for."
