"I took my boyfriend to Morton’s for his birthday, our experience was phenomenal. When I made our reservation I made note that it was for a birthday. We were seated at 7:30 sharp Our table was lightly decorated with confetti and a personalized “Happy Birthday” menu was placed in front of us. Our waiter’s name was Angel, he was very informative and helpful in deciding what to choose from the menu (he also had a sense of humor and kept it fun). To top the entire night off our dessert was delivered to us with a lit candle and the hostess took our picture and gave us a copy in a Morton’s picture holder.
The food was delicious and our steaks were cooked to perfection. I highly recommend the New Orleans location and Angel."

"Its been a while since I've been here, and I noticed when I walked in that some things had changed. Come to find out, Morton's was bought by Landry's. No major changes, except in the decor, which changed to a colorless, modern design. I prefer the old look. Everything else was the same, except they got rid of the cart that they used to bring you before you order to showcase the different cuts of meat and lobsters. Service was just good this time - our waitress seemed to disappear too often. Food was excellent, that much hasn't changed.
Overall, Morton's is still a good place to get a steak, but I'll be sticking to Ruth's for the most part."

"I've need been more disappointed in a Morton's! Terrible! Service was slow. Our entrees and sides did not arrive at the same time. The food was over cooked. I've had a better meal at Outback Steakhouse that cost $40 not $200. Morton's needs to shape up. I wouldn't consider them a 4 star restaurant."

We selected this restaurant for our 25th wedding anniversary dinner while vacationing in New Orleans. The added touches of being greeted with Happy Anniversary upon our arrival, the specially printed menu with Happy 25th Anniversay including our name across the top, and dessert on the house to celebrate this special day were all very much appreciated. "Quite possibly my favorite steakhouse in New Orleans. My filet was cooked perfectly. The twice baked potatoes au gratin are incredible and the chocolate lava cake is heavenly. Service was really good, formal enough without being overly proper etc. My only suggestion would be to have a few more non seafood appetizers. I like seafood, but it would be nice to have some other stuff to pick from, besides that, no complaints. I will definitely be back. Thanks for a wonderful meal!"

"I have to say I was a bit disappointed at the 'NEW LOOK' of the restaurant, I a bit taken aback at the change. It's not as quaint and as romantic as it used to be. I think think the separation of the bar area and the dining room should have stayed. I was a bit noisy as there was a table of people that didn't consider other people were there trying to enjoy a nice and QUIET dinner! But the food has not changed and that was welcomed. When I heard Mortons was bought out by Landry's I was a bit skeptical, as I do not care for Landry's food. Our server was ok, I've had better servers at the restaurant, but I guess you can't get perfection every time."

"When we were seated we had to wait 15 or 20 minutes for a waiter and had we not stopped the hostess we would have been sitting longer waiting for a waiter to approach us, so basically we were seated at a table that had not been assigned a waiter which was frustrating. On top of that we had already driven one hour to get there"

"We were visiting New Orleans for our anniversary and this was our first time visiting this restaurant, we had a wonderful experience. Service and food was impecable. There was a large group that was making excesive noise and using profanity, but the Manager immediately address the problem and took appropriate action. I would definately visit this establishment again."

"We went in after the Super Bowl and our reserved table was ready right away. In spite of several big groups coming in at once, the staff was responsive and kept our glasses full and the food coming. While they had, somewhat understandingly, run out of NY Strips and Porterhouses (my favorite) they told us what they did have and what they might be low on. They set two rib eyes aside for our table and they arrived cooked to perfection."

"I have dined at Morton's several times and in several different cities and this was by far the worst experience. I was in town for Superbowl weekend so I understand that the restaurant was working their butts off. They sat us 50 minutes past our reservation time. They did offer us to wait in the lounge area. There was no seating, it was standing room only.
When they finally sat us they informed us that the kitchen was also behind so another 45 minute wait for our food! Management never came to us to apologize or offer a complimentary cocktail or anything. If this was my first time at Morton's I probably would not return. It is hard for your food to be great when your stomach is sour."

The crab cakes was the best ever, my husband had to have the porter house steak which actually melted away, and the shrimp was delightful ~

"The service was EXCELLENT!!! The only downside to our experience was the food. The wrong cocktail was brought to our table, my soup was burnt, my $60 steak was also burnt and the recommended Au gratin potatoes were terrible.Our food was sent back and replaced, but it should have come out right the first time. For the price of food on the menu it was not worth it. I will say that my overall experience was good due to the outstanding wait staff and manager that tried there best to make our night memorable. I think real chefs need to be hired if they are going to serve food at that cost. So kudos to the Staff. Thumbs down to the food."

"Food was tremendous, pricey, but tremendous. Our server (sometimes Maitre d') was very hands on, literally, caressing my shoulder or back when asking if everything was to our liking etc. I found it surprisingly familial. Someone else might have been quite taken aback by it. The 48oz T-bone for two was perfect. Hubby and I shared it with our son (5-yr old BIG meat eater) and we found it totally adequate quantity-wise. The dog loved the bone."

"Service was very slow. We had a 7:30 reservation and we had to skip dessert to make our 9:50 movie which is in the same building. We had to ask the waiter for bread after sitting for ~45 minutes with nothing. When we finally received our food, it was less than impressive. For the price, the lack of flavor was extremely disappointing. We wanted to try something different and since we were going to the movies in the same building we thought Morton's would be perfect. We were both disappointed and will be returning to Ruth's Chris from now on."
