"Flight is one of my favorite restaurants. I have eaten there three times, and each time, the service and food were wonderful. It's great for special occasions, and the hosts/hostesses and waiting staff were super friendly and courteous. I love the concept of having the option to order either one full entree or a "flight," smaller portions of three different entrees. You can mix and match your "flight" depending on what you like. This option especially suits indecisive diners. They also have wine "flights" that complement your meal. My husband who ordered the wine "flight" to go with his steak "flight" said that the wine was superb. Overall, Flight offers great food and service. I would definitely recommend Flight to anyone."

"We visited for the first time on our wedding anniversary and we were delighted with the experience. The flight concept was new to us (being non-drinkers) and we loved it. Being able to eat different dishes in a category or flight is unique. I had the feathered flight with chicken and waffles, duck and quail. All three were delicious. I finished with the chocolate flight for dessert and it was great as well. The atmosphere was good, the service was outstanding and to top it all off, there was complementary valet parking. The whole experience was fine dining at its best and we definitely will be back."

"This was my first visit to Flight and I was not disappointed. Despite a very busy weekend in downtown Memphis, our party arrived early. This was not an issue for we were seated promptly. Our server was extremely knowledgeable and quite pleasant to converse with. The menu has so much to offer. The restaurant's most attractive feature...you don't have to choose one of anything. Try a Flight of anything listed on the menu including chef specials. With a Flight, you choose three of something perfectly portioned for your enjoyment. Flights are offered for ever course of the meal as well as for wines. You can't go wrong utilizing their concept. Very impressed with Flight and I highly recommend you visit them when in Memphis."

"I had a few people recommend Flight and I thought it would be a great place to celebrate my wife and I's 12th wedding anniversary. It was an outstanding choice. The food was hands down some of the best we have ever had. The service was also top notch. Our server Chad was very attentive and offered great choices and options. I will suggest Flight to everyone who ask and plan on returning in the future."

"I heard so much about Flight and the reviews were Great. However, I was disappointed and expected more. The Flight portions were very small. I ordered the chicken and waffles, and 2 small salads. We almost had to stop on our way home to pick up something to eat. The service was Great. However, the party next to our table was VERY VERY LOUD!"

"Great overall experience. Food is outstanding, although the courses came a little quicker than I would have liked. Places like this are meant to be savored and not rushed. I'm not sure if it was because they have such limited seating or just the normal pace, but when I go to dine at this level, I like a little time between appetizers, salads, and main courses. Nothing overlapped, but very little down time. It was also pretty loud, but it may have been just the large parties seated near us...one 14 top, and two 6 tops. Kind of took away from the possible romantic atmosphere that would have been possible otherwise. I really love the flexibility of the selections mixed between all the small plates, all well presented. We will be back."

"My wife an I went to Flight for our 8th wedding anniversary, and we were not disappointed!
After sampling an excellent appetizer, we experienced the "flight" approach to dining. This is a wonderful concept that I have seen in other restaurants, but the difference here is that the portions are comparatively HUGE! I ordered the Chef's Flight, which was Maine Lobster, Chicken and Dumplings and Pork Tenderloin, and my wife had the lobster, along with Stuffed Flounder and the Australian Lamb Chop. Everything was flavorful and of high quality. We completed our meal with a dessert flight of cheesecake, peach cobbler, and a layered cake that was excellent.
My wife and I will definitely return!"

"We arrived for reservations for 7pm and was promptly seated. Everyone congratulated us on our anniversary. Our server Juile was excellent. if I had to make one comment to make it would be that we noticed that when the food was served the server describe each meal at other tables but when our food arrived we did not get any desciptions or knives. Julie did return and describe to my husband what was what on his steak flight. Other than that I would say our experience was excellent."

"I'm in the restaurant business myself so I was surprised that we had not found out about Flight until a few days before my wife and I went to Memphis for the Golf tournament. Of course I previewed a few reviews before making a reservation, my wife and I are quite particular on where we dine as many places we have found lack exceptional customer service. The manager Tony was very accommodating and pleasant. We sat on the second level of the restaurant which provided some privacy and a great view. Our server Sharkira and the support staff were astounding. The meal was equally so and we had a great time sharing the small dishes and the wines, 6 selections each of small entrée dishes and wines. Absolutely wonderful experience. KUDOS to FLIGHT!!"

"The concept was great. Enjoyed every flight we got. Went for our honeymoon and they even gave us complimentary champagne. It started to get a little dark around 8 and the couple next to us had to ask for a flashlight (we were on the second floor). Also, the wine flights gave us the option to try 2 ounces of $40 and $70/bottle wine(the price you'd pay at a wine store, not including restaurant markup) for a decent price. We found 2 cabernets we thoroughly enjoyed that otherwise we would not have known about (Jordan and Caymus). We would definitely go here again if we get the chance. When we went there was a rather large group that kinda killed the romance but they left around dessert so we left on a good note."

"flight has regained it's status as one of the top 4 restaurants in memphis!! the owner was lucky enough to rehire his impressive manager, matthew. matthew and josh, the other manager, run flight like a fine eatery in ny or chicago.
it is a definite must do in memphis, whether you are a tourist, business person or a local.
the bar is surprisingly, a great place to watch sports. where else can you have fine wine, be surrounded by a sophisticated crowd and watch nbs/mlb/nfl, etc?? superb!! it does not hurt that the bartenders are pleasant to "observe", both male and female."

"First time to Flight. We are an older couple so the small plates fit us very well. My choices ranged from the raw fish (some call it sashimi) flight to the nicely done red snapper (small dish). The wife had the fried green tomatoes (very good) to the nicely done red snapper. We did indulge in the dessert flight with two out of three items were excellant , the bread pudding was ok, nothing to write home about.

"Where else can you go and get a sampling of many items on the menu? We ordered a flight of oysters for appetizer, a flight of salads, and different combinations of 'flights' for the main meal, with a flight of wine. We were able to taste a lot of different dishes with just this one meal. It is a great place, great service with great food and atmosphere."

"We celebrated our anniversary with Flight for the 2nd year and everything again was on point and wonderful. The waitress Julie and waiter Chris were superb. I enjoyed the food. I had the Chef flight and my husband had the chicken and dumplings. We both were very satisfied. We also had the traditional desert flight...great. The wine was really good and they gave us a champagne toast. love love love"

"I took some clients and friends to Flight and it was one of the best meals I've had in years. I had heard people rave about it for years and it definitely lived up to the hype. We got the steak flight with filet, elk and bison sirloin."

"I took my girlfriend for her birthday and we both had an amazing time. The Griz were playing downtown with the Sunset Symphony going on and the Redbirds game so downtown was very busy. We arrived a little late due to the traffic and the host was very accommodating and had us in our seats in no time. The view outside was great and the service was even better. The food came out in a timely fashion even with the higher number of patrons that were in the restaurant to watch the game. Our server was very attentive and nice. I will be going back again to try a different flight because the seafood was so good! I know the other meals are just as great!"

"Having worked 25 years in the hotel and Food business and eaten at top notch restaurants all around the country, I was very surprised to find such a great concept restaurant as Flight in Memphis.Not only is it a beautiful place but the concept is well executed with some of the best service we have found in Memphis. Great food, great concept, great service.
To fully enjoy the full experience we suggest that you take advantage of the flight concept for each course and pair it with the flight wines. You too will have a memorable evening as we did for our 26th anniversary."

"Everything about Flight is worth coming back for - the concept is creative and different, the execution of that concept is amazing. Food is brilliantly presented and is consistently delicious (this was our second time there, ordered completely different food and it was all great). One of the best plates my wife and I have ever had was the lamb on the tenderloin flight - good Lord.
Great atmosphere, helpful and knowledgeable staff. Can't say enough good things about it. We LOVE great food and have dined at most of the great places in Memphis - this place goes toe to toe with any of them."

"The "flight" concept for dining really works. This a unique idea. The opportunity to taste multiple wines, a few appetizers, and several entrees gives the diner a chance to sample many things on the menu for the same price as one. The food was amazing. I didn't try one thing that wasn't superb. Although the restaurant is nice, it is located in a less than great area of downtown and thank goodness for valet parking. There is nowhere to park for less than a fortune. Overall a great experience....."

"This was our first visit to Flight. We were aware that this eatery was a wine bar but not aware that food selections were also available in flights. We loved being able to taste bits and pieces of different entrees and desserts. We thought everything was delicious. Our favorite was the goat cheese ravioli that was a side to the pork tenderloin."

"Took my mother the day after Mother's Day and she and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Our waiter,Jon, was very polite as were the other staff that brought out our plates. The food was also unique and delicious. I'm a very picky eater who sticks to beef and chicken but I tried the lamb and LOVED IT. Overall a great place to go to for a special treat."

"You'll see mixed reviews for flight but we thoroughly enjoyed our experience. Our waiter, Mark, was excellent. He knew the wines and food backwards and forwards and he knew just when to return to the table to check on us. The flights of wine are fun ; the flights of food are a good concept. If you play with the small plates, you'll be sure to find a winner."
