"It was ok for a buffet, the staff made sure everything was replenished -nothing ever looked old. The buffet food was so so, the asparagus was the highlight- blackened chicken-that wasnt blackened, was in a cream sauce, was ok. The buffet eggs, tasted powdered, bacon was undercooked. The pork loin was lukewarm, the accompanying whiskey sauce was dreadful. The desserts were not very good at all, It would have been nice if they had put nametags out - and there were NO Chocolate desserts!Ordered vegetable omlettes from the menu, they were freakishly, inflated (pancake batter?) few veggies. Breakfast the next day at the DFW Hyatt was superb!. I wont be back, or recommend Cast Iron for brunch. It is forgotten as soon as I close this page."

"Brunch buffet was nice. Salad bar great. Could offer more breakfast selections, and have sturdier tongs. Service was excellent! Bottomless mimosa for the price was very good. Would recommend."

"Mother's Day Brunch was exceptional! Great variety of choices for anyone's tastes, even kids. Service was spot on and always there when needed, and the buffets were set in separete areas so there was never any crowding, (except for the waffles and omelets, but hey it was a great time to meet and chat with others). I recommend the prime rib and seviche, and of course, the free mimosa's were superb as well!"

"We have been using the Omni Fort Worth for Holiday brunches for the past few years, and have been pleased with all aspects--until this year. We had a late seating (but not the final seating) as we always do.
The food was excellent--BUT--when it came to dessert, four of the advertised "headliner" desserts were not available. They had run out of Chocolate cake, Bread pudding, Cheesecake ice cream and the Chef's special cake. The two mothers in our party of six were very disappointed, and cast a net of negativity over what should have been a wonderful Mother's day experience. When you attend an event at a premium facility, pay a premium price, is it too much to ask that you produce enough of everything to satisfy even the last table seated??"

"We decided to spend the extra money and have Mother's Day Brunch here. It was well worth it. The service was incredible from providing us drinks while we waited for our table to constantly making sure we had enough coffee and a clean table. The staff serving the food were delightful and could have a conversation. The food was incredible and there were so many options ranging from elaborate to simple stuff for younger eaters. Overall one of the best brunches we have had in a long long time."

"This was my third Mother's Day Brunch and unfortunate I will choose another place next year due to this last experience. The food was good but not as good as previous visits, you ran out of your famous bread pudding, my waiter was gone away from my table so long my coffee was cold because I was waiting for him to return with cream and sugar, my water glass was empty long enough to get DRY and to and injury to insult...my party of 7 was charged $62 gratuity for SERVICE! I've enjoyed my other previous visits with you all but $371 is a bit much to walk away disappointed. I hope this review will serve in helping you return to the quality service and food I had grown accustomed to. I will give it a test run after church one Sunday."

"It started out bad. We had a reservation and we got seated 30 minutes late. Very good variety of food. Food was good and bad ranging from taste to being cold Our waiter was great. Don't like the fact they automatically added 18 % gratuity for a party of 4. I talked to the manager about the late seating and he just said "sorry we are busy" could cared less. We won't return due to the price. Many better places to spend $50 a plate."

"The food, quality, and service are all outstanding. You cant go wrong for brunch at Cast Iron.
Be prepared though that they may add a significant charge to your debit or credit card without informing you. When I called the restaurant later in the day to find out why so much more was added to my card then I had signed for at the restaurant all I received was poor attitude and run around answers.
There best explanation was that it is charged that much and is pending until the next business day when the actually charge will show on my bank statement. If this is the case then that needs to be explained, although I have never had this happen before at any other restaurant but it has now happened twice as Cast Iron."

"Well prepared and presented, but from very limited menu. The service was very attentive without being obtrusive. If you need be at the Omni or the Fort Worth Convention Center and need a place to eat then Cast Iron is a good choice. If you are just in Fort Worth and looking for a place dine there a number of other options."

"This was our first visit to Cast Iron, but we will definitely be going back. We live in Arlington, TX and will joyfully make the trip back to Fort Worth to eat here. The food was absolutely wonderful. I had the salmon and my husband had the BLT. Then we indulged in their desserts, me having the Sweet Potato Creme Brulee and him having the Dr Pepper Chocolate Cake!! Our waiter was Andre and I would recommend that you ask for him, as we have never gotten as good of service as we did from him. For the price and the food AND the service, we will be going back on a regular basis!!"

"Our experience was enjoyable. Restaurant was not full, so we were able to visit with our guests comfortable. We had salmon and were pleased with that selection. Desserts were yummy. We actually ate at this restaurant three times during our three day stay at the Omni."

"We enjoyed Easter Brunch with our family of four (two kids) and it was perfect for all of us! Lots of food choices, atmosphere and service was upscale, yet they even had a small kids table they could serve themselves from! Food quality was perfect and service was so friendly and efficient even with the little ones! Plus we were an hour early for our reservation and since it was just 4 of us they were able to seat us within 10 min! We will be back and would recommend!"

"We went there for our anniversary and stayed in the hotel and didn't want to go far. The food was a buffet and it was late so it wasn't great, it was dry. The manager paid for our meal and brought us a cake on the house. The breakfast buffet was delicious though! We would try it again."

"Food was good. Good presentation with ample amounts. Service left a lot to be desired. Very little direction as to what to expect. We had to ask waitress when we could find her, what the process was for getting the included Mimosas. She then got us one, when we wanted another again had to find someone for help. Overall not worth the price."

"The Cast Iron has a small but varied menu. My Cowboy Brisket sandwich was tasty and filling. The decor is rather ordinary but the tables are spread out enough to allow for conversation, although it can get very busy."

"Disappointed with the quality of food and the fair service...when the server says "pinot noir..is that a white or red wine" you know the staff has not been trained for the Omni level of clientele."
