"The experience was overall a good one. Our server was very friendly and accommodating. When my mom's food came out cold, the he was very apologetic and brought it back quickly and warm. He then offered her free dessert. I ordered the duck and it was tasty- -maybe not quite as good as I expected, but still good. We ordered the crab cakes as appetizers and those were excellent.
Livingstons is located in the Georgian Hotel, so obviously it's not a casual restaurant, but it's not so fancy that it's stuffy or uncomfortable. It's a great place to go if you want to get a little dressed up and head out with some girlfriends or go on a nice date."

"After a disaster the last time we ate here, we decided to give it one more try since we were going to a show at the Fox Theater. Unlike the last time, when we got our meal 10 minutes before show time, the service was timely. My wife and I had the grouper which was OK. Not sure what the side dish was, but it had absolutely no flavor. This is not a place I would go for dinner unless we were going to the Fox. Think we may try the bar menu next time."

"Photos in the website, a TV Chef and a glittering menu make you believe that you are going to step in a Great Gatsby kind of experience... are you are not. The place was far from glamorous, food was just OK and service was fine but not impressive. Wine list was good but my champagne came flat and had to send it back and my friends could not have their cocktails because they run out of one of the mixers... (let me clarify that It was 7:30 p.m. and not 2 in the morning...)
So overall, quite poor, don't plan to come back..."

"Livingston is an amazing location right in the heart of Atlanta nestled between midtown and downtown right across from the fabulous Fox Theatre off Piedmont Avenue and walking distance from many area hotels. The menu was short but concise and offered a decent variety. Food was served quick and with a smile. While there were a few hiccups concerning our requests, the kitchen happily made up for it and in the end the meal was delectable! The service was friendly but not intrusive, but could've been a little more engaged (perhaps it was only because we came 30 minutes to closing time that this was the case). The ambience was very pleasing and low-key for a weeknight which made it a romantic evening. It's very pricey, but definitely a must try!"

"I have eaten at Livingston's a number of times and have been very impressed - this time not so much. I took my mother there for Mother's Day brunch and was not impressed with the food. The main hot offerings - banana French toast bread pudding and wild mushroom frittatas - I didn't even try because I cannot eat bananas or mushrooms. The bacon and sausage were cold and the bacon was incredibly greasy. The cold asparagus was not a hit with me. There could have been more "brunchy" choices offered - an omelette or waffle station perhaps. Desserts were so-so. And it did not occur to me, nor was it specified on the announcement, that mimosas would not be available until after 12:00 noon and I made our reservation for 11:00. Service was very good."

"Across from the Fox Theatre and excellent atmosphere. Portions were much larger than expected and prices were very good. We went with the Theatre menu and everyone tried a different choice on it. They were all excellent. The desserts were absolutely fabulous. Bar area was not too loud and the drinks were reasonably priced. Dress was casual to fancy. My wife is a picky eater and she loved everything! Since the weather was not very good we couldn't enjoy the outdoor seating but would like to the next time. Would definitely recommend this restaurant and will be going back again."

"I've enjoyed dining at this venue before/after events on a number of occasions and recently invited a client for Sunday brunch. What a mistake. Not only was the menu extremely limited, but the server acted like he was hung over and the manager on duty was argumentative when we commented unfavorably about several of the dishes served. The mini quiche lorraine was stale and our server actually tried to tell us that the mayo on their grilled cheese sandwich was just melted cheese. Weak mixed drinks."

"Most dishes aimed high, and many were either a big hit or very close. Excellent pork chop, sea scallops, pates, and crab fritters. Good assortment of desserts. On a night that seemed slow at the start but built as a late dinner (9pm) crowd rolled in, service was very attentive. The room is old, classic, beautiful."

"I have been to your restaurant many, many times and have had just about every item on your menu. The access and parking are great for locals who venture downtown.HOWEVER-You are the Georgian Terrace----in the deep South,--- OMG People, both locals and tourists, expect you to have more items on the menu like your fabulous chicken and grits-.that are actually "southern bell" friendly. YOur short ribs are great- need more customary accompaniment. Side items that are a little southern friendly-example, small white roasted potatoes, potatoes au gratin, some kind of sweet potato- soufflé or roasted, some kind of rice, couscous, etc. I often have the occasion to speak with your guests and with locals about restaurants -A Local fan"

"FOOD WAS VERY GOOD. WAITER WAS VERY POLITE. BUT, TOOK MORE THAN AN HOUR TO GET ENTREE AFTER BEING TOLD IT WOULD BE RIGHT UP (SEVERAL TIMES). SINCE WE WERE GOING TO THEATER WE HAD 10 MINUTES TO WOLF OUR FOOD DOWN BY THE TIME WE GOT IT. THE SLOW SERVICE TOOK WHAT WOULD HAVE BEEN AN ENJOYABLE EXPERIENCE AND LEFT ME WITH A SOUR TASTE IN MY MOUTH. WE WERE ALSO TOLD THE MANAGER WOULD COME OVER AND APOLIGIZE BUT, THAT NEVER TOOK PLACE EITHER. I WOULD NOT GO AGAIN UNLESS I HAD 3 HOURS FOR DINNER."

"First Time going to this restaurant. Food was good as well as the service. My biggest complaint was they told open table that we didn't keep our reservations. This was after we spent 3 1/2 hrs at the restaurant and $200."

"A completely different experience from our previous visit. For a restaurant in a great location in a 5 star hotel the food and service were extremely disappointing. Everthing appeared to be cutting corners - smaller food servings, inexperienced student waiters, no condiments on table,etc. - a McDonalds experience."

"The quality of the food was excellent. However, I wouldn't recommend it for a special occasion brunch. There were no decorations at all. Most disappointing was the lack of a true brunch menu. No omelet station. No ham. Very little seafood. What was on the menu was fabulous. Just not a traditional enough menu for our liking."

"In the past year, I have hosted a special event for 10 people upstairs, dined a few times during the week and enjoyed happy hour at the bar on several occasions. Because of the gorgeous ambience, superb food every time and location, Livingston is easily one of my top five favorites in metro Atlanta. My only light complaint is the service, which I know could be more expedient and personable. A little heart and personality would go a long way among the bartenders and servers. Scallops, mushroom tart and short ribs are always delicious. If you want to give someone or a party the "wow" factor, this place is a sure fit. The three-hour comp valet is a perk too."

"We had brunch at the Livingston because we had tickets to a show at the Fox Theater which is just across the street. The food was good. Our server was just fair. My husband ordered orange juice and it was placed in front of me. He reached across the table as opposed to walking around and it was only a small table for 2. He also never even smiled. Another waiter who cleared the dishes from in front of my husband was very pleasant and smiling while helping his coworker."

"We go to Livingston often before an event at the Fox, even though we are not fond of the menu.....we go mainly because it is the most convenient for us before a show at the Fox.. Last evening was the first time that we have actually been pleased with our meal. Usually, the items on the menu are a little sparse and not to our liking, especially the protein which is usually served with unusual veges /accompaniments and such very small portions. Last evening the 1/2 chicken with grits was delicious. The scallops were good, after the side was substituted with potatoes. A more palatable Southern menu would surely attract more patrons. After all.... They are the Georgia Terrace and customers are disappointed in the menu,"

"Love stopping here and having the Theater Menu before going to the Fox. Even though very busy before Million Dollar Quartet the service was great. I have never had anything here I don't like. The pork chop melted in my mouth. Since I can't have chocolate, they do a small plate of 3 types of sorbet for me for desert. I love figuring out the flavors! The short walk across the street to the Fox means you can enjoy a glass of wine with desert and not feel rushed."

"We have dined here at least 10 times, and have never been disappointed.... in fact, it gets better and better. I had the Seared Grouper and it was excellent, moist, succulent & the potato was incredible. My husband had the Skirt Steak and it was fabulous also. Our server was well-spoken, attentive, and most gracious. All-in-all, another perfect dining experience before a show at The Fox. Sitting upstairs overlooking Peachtree Street always makes the evening a bit magical too! Can't wait for the weather to warm up and enjoy Livingston's al fresco."

"We chose this because it was across the street from the Fox Theater. We arrived late because of a problem, but the staff made sure that we got our meal quickly and we had time to get to the theater for the show. The theater menu is a good deal and the three hours of free valet parking is an added bonus. The only complaint is the limited choices on the menu."

"Loved that the restaurant is right across the Fox Theater. Food was good however, service was a little lacking. We waited quite a bit before someone served us and the food even took a while to get to us. Not sure if it was just an off night or just busy. The server did give us a complimentary glass of wine to make up for the wait (without any receiving a complaint) so I felt that was really nice."

"Across from the Fox Theatre, this beautiful room inside the fully remodeled Georgian Terrace Hotel has high ceilings and a beautiful ambiance. We sat in a quiet corner, but there were tables out in the middle that were perfect for a larger group. Service from Eric was very good. The Chef, Zeb, came out and chatted and made the entire evening special. Great Pork Chop and Black Grouper... Octopus Salad is outstanding. We will go again... often. Plus, the view of the Fox and the activity outside makes this a vibrant area of town."

"Situated in a historical building looking onto the Fox theatre, Livingston is a treat for all senses. The atmosphere is elegant yet relaxed, the food is carefully prepared and offers enough variety to make everyone happy. The house cocktail list offers a unique twist on some old favourites and the wine selection is abundant. I would definitely return, whether it be for a romantic dinner or a group celebration. The crab fritters, glazed beef short ribs and the lobster pierogi were favourites with our group. The service was pleasant and timely. Looking forward to the next opportunity to dine at Livingston!"
