"I love The Standard and I eat there often. The Mother's Day brunch however, did not meet my expectations. We had 1:00 reservations and by then alot of the food had been picked over. Not the mention the price. It was just a tad bit over priced for what we got. Next year I'll make our reservations after 3:00 and just eat off the regular menu."

"Standard has a great menu - especially apps. We enjoy a romantic dinner or sharing an evening with friends. However our last visit was not up to their usual standard. Mother's Day buffet was expensive and mediocre. We had made reservations expecting the usual but arrived to find the buffet the only option. Other experiences there have been very good."

"We pre-booked our on line reservation for Mothers Day evening for 7 +1 (2year old) needed a high chair. Service was great, table was ready when requested. Burgers weren't done as requested. Medium well came out very red in the middle. Other that that, very nice night. Will be back. We've been there dozens of times before, we knew what to expect. Good food, good service !!!"

"I am the mother of 2 small children and do not get out much. We invited another couple to join us at dinner and we were aprehensive about going to Crossgates Mall for a nice dinner, but upon recommendation we went anyway. We were thrilled. The bar and decor is awesome. The decor throughout the restaurant so old fashion "cool". And the food and pricing is great! I cannot wait to go back and try other things. I would recommend this "diamond in the rough" to anyone."

"We enjoyed another excellent meal at the Standard. Steaks were cooked to perfection and were tender and flavorful. Sides were great. Nice wine list. Fun, swanky cocktails. We were seated on time for our reservation, which we appreciated as we had a show to attend after dinner."

"We all enjoyed the food, from seafood, to a pasta sausage dish and two vegetarian options. We were seated in the Club Room where there was one very large (15 people) group and a second group of about 6 women sitting behind us. The crowd got so boisterous at times that we literally could not hear each other talking, perhaps they should have included some sound-proofing when building this restaurant. Other than that we had a good experience and would return again, but perhaps not on a Friday night."

"The ambiance of The Standard is great. Have been to the restaurant several times and have enjoyed the food. My only advice is to not order the specialty salads. Although the presentation is nice, they are expensive and there is not much substance. The service is normally very good but did mark lower because there was no advantage to placing a reservation. Their policy states that you may not be seated immediately but will get the next available table. It was 25 minutes and 8 parties later before we were seated."

"I went with a group of four with on line reservations. The food was good and company great,service so so, once we were seated together.... Even though all of us checked in with the hostesses for the reservation, we were seated at two different tables and didn't connect for 20 minutes.
We spoke to the hostess after the dinner. Not even an apology. Customer service, not.

"As always the Standard's food and service were excellent. The pace of the meal is considerate of the diners. It moves along with timely service, but not rushed allowing time to talk and enjoy the surroundings. The Standard is an excellent location for business meetings. While sometimes noisy, it provides an atmosphere which is busy, but conducive to productive discussion. Everyone leaves knowing they were well treated.
The only "problem" - probably was of my own doing, was my inability to reserve a specific table - a banquette in the far left corner (facing back from the fornt desk)adjacent to the bar area off the froentry. That booth is excellent for private discussions and dinner meetings. I would like to know how to make the request."

"Love the Decor here...far batter than most "mall restaurants". Food here is always good and consistent. The staff is very accomodating and does everything with a smile. Great location for a group to gather and they always seem to make room for whoever arrives. This place is unique and therefore always a treat."

"I was here for lunch. There were many choices of salads, burgers and sandwiches as well as hot meals. The salads are offered in 2 sizes and the "smaller" lunch portion was more than I could eat! "We usually enjoy going to The Standard, however this last time was a little disappointing as far as the service. The waitress was not friendly at all which is never a good thing. We ordered an appetizer of spinach dip. Half way through the dip we were out of chips & asked if we could have some more. They forgot them so we had to ask again. I ordered a cheeseburger & sweet potato fries instead of regular fries. I got my burger with regular fries so we had to let them know. They took back the regular fries (I would have left them there as a courtesy), & I got my sweet potato fries a few minutes later. They never gave our table ketchup so we had to ask for that as well. We'll probably think twice before going back."

"Everything was going real well w/dinner until entrees came. Both mine & my wife's steaks wereway over done. Ordered medium & came past well. Sent back for refire & after over 30 minutes my wife's came back done properly & mine was barely rare."

"Our waitress, who's name I cannot recall, was by far one of the best waitresses I've had in a long time. She was outstanding, friendly, and provided tremendous service. Only complaint is its a little pricy."

"I have dined here many times and keep returning because I am always satisfied with the service and the food. It was Valentines when we visited here laat and it was crowded but we were sat right away on arrival. I recommend this place for families or couples, it will not be dissappointing in the least. Our server was busy but kept stopping by to check on us and that was great as we had a few requests through the evening. You must try this place if you haven't already."

"We had a really enjoyable dining experience. The service staff was attentive and very efficient. The food was nicely prepared and presented. The filet and short rib entrees were cooked perfectly, as well as the side dishes. We enjoyed our drinks, coffee and desserts.

"I love this restaurant. Love the food,ambiance and service. However, the best part of it is their extensive gluten free menu. I have been dining here since they opened and I have watched the evolution of their gluten free menu. The manager has always been on top of this. They are knowledgable and the choices are vast. They just started serving gluten free pasta and they have gluten free buns. It is so nice to have a place to go when you're in the mall and haven't planned to be out."
