Chef Gordon Ramsay’s first Los Angeles restaurant offers fine-dining inspired by California’s fresh produces. Under the direction of Executive Chef Anthony Keene - the Michelin-starred restaurant serves Western European cuisine with regional influences, and menus change regularly based on seasonal offerings. Enjoy a variety of market specials, several a la carte dishes. The ambiance is glamorous and energetic, with posh dining rooms that overlook dramatic views of the city skyline. "expectations were high for a Gordon Ramsay restaurant. and they were exceeded. the food is somewhere between amazing and incredible. we did the tasting menu and everything was just superb. word of advice: although the duck fat fries were to die for, we should not have ordered them in addition to the tasting menu. that was too much food."

"Ramsay at London was a great dining experience. The food presentation was beautiful. Too pretty to eat, but when the Beef Wellington got to the table, we had no problem devouring it. The lobster cake was very good. Lots of lobster! My husband and I ordered off the pre-fix menu and enjoyed every course."

"My husband and I went to the London for our anniversary because we wanted to try a Ramsay restaurant since we are big fans of him. The food was good but watch out for all of the extra charges like bread and anything offered by the waiter but not listed on the menu. For example, we were told the beef wellington could be ordered outside of the tasting menu but ended up costing more than the items on the tasting menu, it was good but not worth the price charged. The service was good and the atmosphere was very romantic so I say go for the experience."

British drink/menu themes thoughout, but nothing paticularly brilliant or inspiring. Generally droll and bland. Found the experience sadly overrated."

"A little difficult to find this hidden gem, but worth the drive. Excellent wine list, and the Beef Wellington is to die for! Searing was prompt and service is attentive. If you're worried about cost this is not the place for you. 2 glasses of a mid level wine, and dinner for 2 came to $250 with tip. Valet parking is mandatory so expect to pay $20 to park plus tipping the valet. All in all worth the trip. Thoroughly enjoyed it!"

"As a true foodie,I was very excited to go to Gordon Ramsay's at the London to celebrate our anniversary.We had a fantastic dinner.The menu choices combine traditional dishes with contemporary, interesting offerings.Our dinner included beef wellington,blistered tomatoes with bone marrow, duck fat fries, roasted brussel sprouts,english toffee sticky pudding with brown butter ice cream.Delicious! Our waiter,Alex was sensational.He made super suggestions.This is a welcoming restaurant.I noted that shortly after we came in, a family with three children,clearly hotel guests,came in and just ordered dessert. They were treated graciously and it was clear that the children were thrilled with their delicious desserts.It was a perfect evening for us."

"While to experience was wonderful overall, there were definite highlights and areas of concern. Although we had reservations, we were still made to wait for 20 minutes - even with open tables, and had to wait about 10 minutes after being seated before the server came around. After being told that the plates were tapas- sized, my boyfriend and I decided on 2 plates each, plus the duck fat fries. The food was DELICIOUS, and they made a substitution of chicken for scallops on my gnocchi with no problem. The only complaint about the food was that for the price, it was a bit skimpy on portion. I completely understand that this was a fine dining situation, but had we not ordered the duck fat fries, we would've probably left hungry!"

"After having read many reviews, we had some reservations about the experience we might have. We were at Gordon Ramsay on a weekday and we went early so the restaurant was quiet. Our waiter was delightful and informative, explaining the tasting menu and the fact that the menu was 'small plates.' We ordered a variety of items and two in the party did the tasting menu so they could share the Beef Wellington which is only prepared for 2. It would have served 4 easily! Everything we had was amazing. Ramsay's cooking style is noted for focusing on the natural flavors of the ingredients so it is prepared simply, plated exquisitely and tasted amazing. A memorable experience for all of us."

"The menu is great in that it offers a choice between the prix fixe and a selection of tapas style choices ideally sized for sharing between two. My girlfriend and I ordered 5 dishes which gave a nice range of tastes and that was adequate in quantity. Dishes near the beginning of the menu are smaller and near the end are larger dishes (price reflects this) but is mentioned because you want to balance between the smaller and larger dishes depending on your appetite. I think we could have done a few more (but had hit Pink's - recommended - earlier in the day). The wine list has a good selection in quality and price. Overall a great taste experience. Might be a celeb or two in attendance too."

"Not to the standard we were expecting, but good food none the less. They seem to do the seafood dishes really well, and my pork belly dish was tasty. Our cocktails were yummy, the appetizers and main dishes good, but not excellent, and we were disappointed in the sides (especially the brussel sprouts). Probably won't go back to celebrate a special occasion again, but might just go for a casual dinner some night."

"I was looking forward to trying a dinner at Gordon Ramsay and the experience was above my expectation. I have heard, watched and admired his cuisine for a long time since I can't find his cooking in Vancouver in Canada. His beef willington was amazing and apple tart was just heavin! We tried Apple tart, chocolate hazelnut bar, and English sticky pudding and everyone agreed that apple tart was the best! If you decide to hang out in West Hollywood area then you should try Gordon Ramsay! very impressive!"

"Ambience was good. Their private rooms looked nice for groups. There are many booths along the windows which have a view of the Hollywood Hills.
Wine list (selection and prices) was equivalent to an upscale hotel. $10 supermarket bottles for $28, and went up from there. We had a lower range Malbec which was decent.
Food came so fast, we wondered if it was being made fresh or if it was pre-made. All except dessert, which took surprisingly 20 minutes...for pumpkin cookies. We joked, "Did they have to go out and kill the pumpkins?"
Ramsay's signature dishes, the Risotto and Beef Wellington, were all we expected. Overall a nice experience."

"Gordon Ramsey at the West London was awesome. The food was delicious. We had teh risotto, rock shrimp crostini, and lobster rolls to start. The risotto was my favorite plate of food, with it creamy and velvety texture. The seafood was was moist and sweet tasting. We each had the famous beef wellington. While it was delicious and cooked properly, I think I would prefer to have a steak without the puff pastry (just my preference). But it was delicious. The sticky toffee pudding was a great finish to our meal. I highly recommend the Gordon Ramsey at the West London. It lived up to its billing for great food."

"We were expecting an exceptional dinner given everything we've seen on TV. Unfortunately, this was not the case. We started off at the Rooftop Bar with one of their specialty drinks, the blood orange caipirinha which neither of us could finish, either the drink was mixed poorly or the drink just did not taste good. We then moved down to the main Gordon Ramsay restaurant. Our caesar sald, the bread and the red wine were excellent, but the main entree was their specialty roasted beef wellington which was extremely over-salted, as was their brussels spouts side dish...so salty we could only eat a few bites of each, very disappointing."

"Far from the outburst of Gordon Ramsay on TV, his place in LA is thankfully quiet. The food is good, and service as well. The bar scene is a bit sad as one lovely woman was singing....for the two of us, as no one else was there, but we enjoyed her anyway!
So, as long as I don't see Mr. Ramsay in his usual fury, I'll go back to his excellent restaurant.
Loved the small plates at reasonable prices, with a good wine list which doesn't send you to the ATM immediately!"

"My wife and I had a 9:30 dinner reservation the night of the Academy Awards. As a result, the restaurant was lightly attended and that certainly added to the quietness of the room.
The dining room was more modernly, yet warmly, decorated which made us both take a minute or two to look it over and comment. It provided a very pleasant environment. A two person wait staff attended to us with no failure to address our needs whatsoever.
A meal including a lobster risotto and Beef Wellington was simply delicious, complemented by more than suitable wine.
Located in the London Hotel, which we somehow had not realized, it did take just an extra couple of minutes to locate in the dark.
Most importantly, we would definitely return!"

"Disappointing, I was expecting a delightful meal from a Gordon Ramsay restaurant. This restaurant is simply using his name to attract customers. The food wasn't great and the service was mediocre. This restaurant should be on the next season of Kitchen Nightmares. We were one of three tables occupied. I will not be back."

"I was struck by the elegant and comfortable atmosphere in this restaurant. It was easy to relax. I had the lobster risotto, beef wellington and apple tart, a side of bread and a side of polenta and goat cheese. Beef Wellington is the single best tasting dish I have ever eaten. Everything else was also superb, I would have licked my plate if it wasn't such a fancy place. Loved the fact that the dessert didn't overshadow the meal, it was tasty but in the end, the beef was still the star."

"After having experienced Gordon Ransays at the London in NYC I was excited to visit this venue. However, the two couldn't be more different. The service was slow. The food was just fine, nothing to rave about at all, and of the 4 or 5 different waiters we had, 2 seemed bothered to even be there, literally plopping my dish down in front of me, sending my silverware scattering. Literally. Took almost 10 minutes to get me a beer. For a $350 meal, beer should arrive in less than 10, particularly when the restaurant is half empty. We were seated at a crammed table so close to another couple that we had to ask to be moved. Not sure why this happened in the first place. Very uncomfortable, unfortunate experience. Would NOT recommend."
