If there is a single food that can represent Argentina, it is beef. The rich grassland plains, the pampas, rest in the shadows of the Andes and feed the people not only their wheat and corn, but also the grazing land for the cattle and sheep. Argentine beef is highly prized for its flavor and tenderness. It is our wish that at Tango you will experience a bit of Argentina and enjoy this authentic and unique cuisine. Buen Provecho!
"Food and service were very good however pricey. Not sure it was worth the high price as we have other restaurants that we frequent that offer similar quality for less price. Not sure we'll go back but the meal was very good and our server was very attentive and very knoweldgeable. He was very helpful offering suggestions in all courses, including compatible wine as it was our first time at an Argentine restaurant."

"Although it prides itself on its Argentinian beef, Tango has the best salmon I have eaten anywhere! And you simply must have the pure portena on the side. A nice wine list is accompanied by a terrific exotic cocktail selection. We tried some new (to us) appetizers including the dates wrapped in bacon. I think seriously that a full complement of apps could make a lovely tapas evening, there is so much to choose. Our waiter was sweet and attentive. I wish I caught his name to give him full credit. My third visit--I will be happy to return."

"We live in Arlington and we are blessed to have Tango in the neighborhood. It's a nice Argentinian place for meat lovers and we often end up there if going to Boston is not an option. The food is good, but they often times overcook it, the service is quite good and very friendly. The portions are really huge and sometimes I wish they worked on the quality a bit more now, when they reached excellence in quantity."

"Great food. No guilt if you have not dressed up for dinner; no feeling ridiculous if you have dressed up! Service is great...there when you need them...not there when you don't."

"Been to Tango many times; local favorite for steak and potatoes. But consistently if it is busy it has taken 45 minutes or more for them to serve a steak. We sat a few minutes after 8PM, restaurant was pretty full, and were served after 9PM. The servers kept our waters full, but they need a bigger kitchen for that size restaurant. Not the first time this has happened so I think I'll avoid Fri and Sat nights from now on."

"We loved everything - the empanada, soup, swordfish, steak, lambchops, chips, squash, sangria, and last but not least the dolce de leche crepe. We keep coming back! Thanks for a wonderful meal."

"We had such a wonderful evening there last Sunday. The food was always mouth-watering delicious. We started by sharing an appetizer of dates wrapped in bacon...full of flavor! I had my usual skirt steak & my husband had filet mignon. Both were cooked & seasoned to perfection. For dessert, we shared the crepe special of fruits with caramel. Certainly not for anyone on a diet, but boy was it yummy! Last, but not least, the service. Absolutely the BEST service we've gotten anywhere, anytime. Our server's name was Bernardo. What a charming man! We were so impressed with his outgoing personality & his ability to be attentive to his tables with the most casual ease. It made a regular Sunday's dinner into a memorable evening. Thanks so much!"

"Filet Mignon was delicious, tender and soft. I found the sides of erred very carb heavy and would have liked more variety. That being said, the portions were very generous and I didnt have much room left to eat the sides. For an appetizer I had the meat empanada which was very savory. Food was definitely good. Ambiance of the restaurant was laid back and casual. Good for the family but not really for a romantic dinner."

"Tango is absolutely wonderful. This was my second time there and first when ordering from the full menu. (The prior time I was there for Restaurant Week). The place has a great vibe. The service is prompt and attentive, and the food is delicious. The one caveat I would add to diners who are unfamiliar with Argentine cuisine is that Tango specializes in the cooking of delicious meats, especially beef. I don't know what they have for vegetarians as I've never looked into their vegetarian options, but if you love meat or you only eat meat on rare, special occasions, this is the place to get it!"

"The quality of the beef was excellent. The 12 oz sirloin is over an inch thick. The medium steak was perfect for me, but some might consider it medium rare, still pink in the center. All the sides we had, mixed vegetable and sweet potato purée were excellent, as were the appetizers. The service was attentive. The waiter was helpful in picking food. We were extremely full when we left. The atmosphere is casual. Noise level was medium and the place was full on a Sat. Night. The prices are high, but you get what you pay for. Look at the online menu before you go. I would recommend Tango to anyone who loves beef."

"This was our second time visiting Tango. We decided to spend our Valentine's Day dinner here because of how amazing the food is as well as how accommodating they are (we brought our 18month son with us). Eating here can be both romantic and very family friendly. The manager makes you feel like you're at home. We both had the Filet Roquefort which comes with 2 sides for $34.95 can't be beat. We love it at Tango and will definitely be back."

"Fantastic time at Tango last week with my daughter. We made reservations and they were ready for us when we arrived. We ordered drinks and appetizers and did not feel rushed while we decided on our meal. Our meals were perfect and the large portions allowed us to take some with us also. The waiters were available at all times. Thank you Tango for this wonderful experience."

"After three great trips to Tango, I was a bit let down most recently. The restaurant was busy, as was expected, but not any more so than usual. Apps were great, and my drink was strong, but the main courses were a bit of a let down. My date cut into her filet to find it well past medium, to the point of little distinguishable pink in the middle. When mentioned to the server they insisted that it was done medium, though when compared to my also medium filet (also too well done, though not badly), it was obviously overcooked, and only said it once more to them. While apologizing at the end of the meal, we were a bit taken aback about the approach earlier, insisting it was medium. Still tasted good, but service and the filet were a letdown."

"Second time at Tango (enjoyed enough the first time to go back, that says something!) We liked it even better this time. The apps are good for sharing, as are the main courses if you are so inclined- we each order and then share. The empanadas- yummie. Ravioles de Verdura- light and delicious. The meat dishes are excellent. The regional wine list is very good and appropriate for pairing. Nice ambiance, more than some of the other Mass Ave storefront restaurants."

"The food was fantastic as always, but the service wasn't quite up to par this time around:
1. We ordered a bottle of wine, but Server brought us the wrong one. Server returned with the correct bottle of wine & took our dinner orders. We then spent 15 minutes (at least) trying to get his attention to let him know that the bottle was off.
2. While waiting for Server's attention re: the wine, my husband was served his appetizer, mine was nowhere to be found. I sat with nothing in front of me for at least 20 mins.
3. Had to ask for silverware when my appetizer eventually came.
4. When we were able to order a second bottle of wine we received the wrong bottle again, but we decided to let it go and drink it anyway."

"An absolute gem! For a really great steak I would pick Tango over any of the downtown steakhouses - the food is just as good, but the setting is so much more relaxing - and much better value."

"The service was really good. They were very attentive and friendly. The food came out in a timely manner. I took my boyfriend there for his birthday and he has the Entraña and I had the milanese de pollo which was all very delicious. We especially loved the panqueques with banana and dulce de leche. I would definately reccomend this place for anyone looking for a romantic night out or a special occassion."

"What a shame wonderful food and atmosphere got ruined by shoddy service. After waiting an extremely long time for our appetizers, our waiter informed us that the kitchen had screwed up and thought we wanted the appetizers with our meal. He apologized and said our first course would be out right away. Turned out right away meant another 20 minutes.
Finally, the appetizers came, and like my other meals and Tango they tasted great. With the story our waiter had told us I was mentally prepared for a quick turnaround to our main meal. No worries there as we spent a full half hour after finishing the last of our small bites before we even saw our waiter again. It was a long painful meal, at least it tasted good."

"The experience at Tango Restaurant was good, though not extraordinary, considering their prices. We ordered the Entrana, (skirt steak) that was recommended on their website as one of their specialties, and another friend ordered the Churrasco a Caballo. The Pure Porteno (puree with squash and sweet potatoes) was delicious, smooth and melting, and the fried potatoes were crunchy and not your usual fries. However, I was not impressed with the Entrana, it was tender but not anything to rave about. The Churrasco was tender and tasty, though a little bit ruined by the eggs. In addition, we also experienced a long wait (one hour) after we ordered our dishes as other OpenTable customers had experienced."

"As an Argentinean living in MA, I was very happy to find out about Tango Restaurant. We had our first experience about a year ago, and it was great. This experience wasn't as good. The waiter, although courteous and attentive, did not seem to know the menu specials as well as he should have. I ordered the skirt steak special medium. It was a bit on the overcooked side. The vegetables were cold. The potato/sweet potato mashed was very good. My husband ordered the sirloin/tenderloin special; he said it was very good. We asked for our flans to go since we had tickets to the theater. It was disappointing to find no dulce de leche on either flan. We will try it again though."

"We went to Tango many months ago and thought the food was very good and the place lively. On this trip we were disappointed in the food and the service. Most dishes needed large helpings of the sauce to give them flavor. We did have an excellent wine at a good price. It was a week night and the place was mostly empty so don't know if it was empty because the quality has decreased or if the quality was bad that night because it was empty. Chicken/Egg."

"I went to Tango for a birthday, but due to Sunday football, the place was pretty empty and quiet. I would not know how noisy the place is otherwise.
Our server made good recommendations about wines and food and kept our water filled regularly. The empanadas were great; my favorite was the beef because of the onions and spices in it. The carpaccio was delicious, though it came with more of a salad on top than garnish. The Medallon Roquefort was deliciously creamy and rich. Great restaurant in Arlington, MA and if I'm in the area, I would dine here again."
