"Working very close to Lux means that it is a regular hangout on Thursdays for Bubbly. This specific occassion I was hosting a going away for a coworker and chose Lux lounge. We made the reservation and requested to be in the lounge but it was closed for a private event so we ended up in the dining room. Our service was excellent as always and the Lobster Poutine never fails to impress. Absolutely great place downtown that lives up the the high standards of the Century Hospitality Group."

"I would definitley visit Lux again. Food was all around great, suoper taste. Made you say MMmmmmmm every time you took a bite! Only thing I would change is the size of te lamb. A little too big but still tasted great :)

"We had been here once before and the food was just as good this time as it was last time. Overall everything was really good. However our service was quite slow. It may have been because we had a large party but certain things seemed to take a long time and common sense wasn't really used on certain things.

Second course was a huge disappointment, as the beef croquettes were flavorless and the smear was very strong. The smear tasted like over-reduced bottled barbeque sauce. But they got it right with the tenderloin and salmon that were cooked to perfection. The saffron broth, though, took away from the risotto. lastly, dessert was a real MISS! The fritters were burnt and the bourbon ice cream was icey and not creamy."

"I work in the building and come to Lux on a fairly regular basis so know what to expect and have gotten amazing food and service in the past. This particular lunch was a client meeting and we both commented on the poor service. We were seated beside a very large table (at least 16 in the party) and this meant that our waiter was pretty pre-occupied with the large group. Apart from when he took our order, he never stopped by again. I was drinking water and was sitting there with an empty water glass that I had pushed out to the end of the table hoping to catch his eye. At one point, he was screaming by so fast I had to say "hello, hello??" when I decided I wanted to order a club soda."

"I LOVE GOING TO LUX, food is fabulous, service is fabulous, our groups, just rave about the meal, afterwards. I can honestly say, the last few times, friends, staff were envious of us going to LUX, and I hear a lot "I love going to the LUX, and "next time you go can I come with you" this is how good your restaurant is."

"I came here with my partner to celebrate Valentine's day. We started with the crab artichoke dip and that was really nice. The chips were great and I loved that they were freshly made. My boyfriend ordered a steak and said he really liked it. I ordered the LUX burger, which was really disappointing. The Kobe beef in the burger had a really funny taste and after taste. I used to live in Japan so I've had Kobe beef on a semi regular basis while I was there. And this burger was really disappointing. The fries that came with it were not the best either half were soggy! And they tasted like the oil they were fried in needed to bed changed. I didn't really end up eating it and ordered a piece of cheese cake because I was hungry; that was good."

"I had the opportunity to visit the Lux for Valentines day. I took my wife and although we enjoyed our time together i particularly was not
as impressed as was my wife. We were greeted and acknowledged as soon as we stepped in the door. We were shown to our table within minutes of our arrival. Our server/waiter/host welcomed us and asked if we had any questions prior to our perusing the menu.
We were allowed ample time to look at the menu and the feature menu before our waiter returned to offer suggestions and info on our
questions. We were a bit dismayed at the amount [ lack of ] food for the cost. either of us could have eaten what was supposed to be enough for two."

"We were really excited to go to Lux Steakhouse for our 1st time. However it was a lack lustre experience. Wine was over priced, the steak was good, but does not beat The Keg. I had the Surf & Turf steak w/bernaise sauce, lobster macaroni. The bernaise sauce was too sweet, & the lobster macaroni was tasteless & greasy & we got a whopping 2 prawns that were small atop the steak. We had a very friendly server in the dining room, but for the price of our meal he was not around enough. I would not recommend wasting your money on a less than average dining experience. You will get a better meal, a better price, & not have to pay for parking at The keg!"

"You know overall great night out. Then getting the bill we were heading out to ESO . Asked very friendly young man filling water glasses to find waitress for bill . Young .hostess not our waitress brought bill right away my husband asked If we could have change for a ten for meters for Parking . Hostess states oh we can't give change you have to go to bar for change. What's up.?

"I had the grilled ahi tuna sandwich and I don't believe the tuna was fresh - it was very, very fishy tasting and smelling. I couldn't finish it. On a side note, one of the guests requested bread with his meal and it didn't arrive until he was almost finished eating."
