"Not only is every item on the menu tremendously overpriced but our server take a long time to take our order and ultimately bring our food, he was extremely difficult to understand and he got the order completely wrong.

My wife ordered short ribs and the server brought her a pasta dish. When my wife pointed out that she didn't order this, she ordered short ribs, the server was rude and said he repeated the order twice. Not only did the server not repeat the order but his behavior was rude and completely inappropriate. Especially considering that short ribs and pasta are not even remotely close to the same thing.

Needless to say this was my first (and last) time I'll ever go to Nessa."

"Our service was abysmal. Hostess was extremely apologetic and offered us free dessert or an extra free drink but didn't change the fact that we waited over 35 minutes between our appetizer and our entree. We also ordered appetizers with our drinks when we sat down because we were very hungry and when the waitress came back 10 min later to take our entree order she said "Ok and I'll put your appetizers right in". The whole point of us ordering them right away was so that she'd put the order in.... The food here is outstanding but the service was so poor on this visit that I will not be going back anytime soon..."

"This was our second time at Nessa and we will absolutely recommend it to others. Not sure why it took us so long to go back! The waiters enjoy their interaction with diners and they are very knowledgeable about the menu. The food was great, though a bit on the expensive side. You can enjoy conversation with your meal unlike so many other well known places. Definitely give it a try"

"We (my wife and I) had a very good meal at nessa. The room itself is beautiful, the rest rooms immaculate and gorgeous. The pappardelle carbonara I had was fresh and delicious---they make their own pasta. I had a meatball and risotto appetizer that was outstanding-- the portion almost too big though--3 giant meatballs, a wonderful combination of robustness and delicacy. My wife's roasted vegetable salad was among the best we have ever tasted! The dessert was a banana giambote ---absolutely rich and delicious."

"We had never heard about Nessa before a friend of a friend mentioned the place. It sounded very pleasant and so, for a birthday, 4 of us went for our first visit. Nessa is welcoming from the minute you step inside.You can't wait to check out the menu, which, thankfully, is very manageable with something for all types of diners. . Their signature dish, Rigatoni Bolognese was exactly as a signature dish should be. The Rotisserie Chicken was moist and tender and the Eggplant Parmigiana was a rave. Service was pleasant enough, although we did sense a bit of superciliousness from our waiter, One overall quibble, though, is that the prices are a bit high for the portions we received."

"The food was good, I'll say that. But our waiter must have apologized 6 times for the service. He claimed they were "busy" which is obvious for a saturday night. But we had to beg for our drinks. Beg for our main courses. Everything was so slow, we wouldn't go back to Nessa for a long time."

"We have frequented Nessa a number of times in the past and thought the food was quite good. But a recent visit was very disappointing for all of my guests. Two pasta dishes, Rigatoni Bolognese and Grandma's Eggplant Siciliano, were too dry and lacking a bit in flavor. One guest described it as almost a microwave texture. The Grilled Octupus Crostini was lifeless, a bit overcooked, with little flavor or seasoning of any kind. We ordered a red and white wine from the limited list on the back of the menu and were disappointed. I probably should have taken cues from reservation availability on the same day, especially for a Friday. Maybe it was an off night but we will not be frequenting again."

"Nessa was a lovely place for dinner. The food was very tasty and served in reasonable proportions that let you enjoy the meal without feeling overstuffed. The meal was reasonably priced. The restaurant is extremely attractive and comfortable. Both the hostess and management were welcoming and very attentive. The only negative was our waiter who was very friendly and nice, but not very well trained at table waiting. He removed courses too promptly or not at all. He picked up our check from the table before we were ready to leave. All in all though, I look forward to returning."

"A relaxing, quiet weekday evening of good food and good wine. Enjoyed the attentive, no pressure service. We shared the roasted vegetable salad which is more than enough for two people. Both of us had the 1/2 size portion of pasta ( carbonara and bolognese) which were delicious and plenty."

"went for Mother's Day Brunch, I don't usually like to go out on a holiday, the resturants are nuts!!1 but here it was really nice, sat in the front window with the window folded open to the outside, and the food was great. "we are long time fans of nessa and return often, love it! the food is consistently great and the bar turns out perfect cocktails!! every pasta dish i've had has been spot on, and don't be afriad to try the chicken under the brick - it says fra diavolo sauce, but it's more of an sweet/sour flavor than spicy."

"Be careful on a Saturday night. The crowds created an unacceptable level of noise, making it quite difficult for table conversation. Service, which is typicaly excellent during thev week, was quite challanging and neglectful. And the food, which is the reason we go, came to the table in a most unprofessional manner. Fish, overcooked, chaos with who got what, and just an overall lack of a personal touch.

Yes, they bought us desert as a gesture of an apology, but since we drive from the otherside of the county, and our friends come up from Manhattan, it's time for us to move on."

"The online reservations worked well; we were seated immediately. Our serveer, Ricky, was knowledgable about the food selections and preparation, he was attentive but no obtrusive and he had a great sense of humor. "I live close to Nessa and have always driven by and wanted to go. After checking out the menu and good reviews online my boyfriend and I decided to go there to celebrate our anniversary. Great spot! cozy interior, attractive bar and good lighting. The staff was personable and professional. The only negative thing I can say is the food took a bit long, but I didn't mind waiting. At the end of our meal our waiter brought out two glasses of complimentary moscato to help us celebrate! Nice touch. Will definitely be back! Can't wait to try out the patio in the summer!"

"My wife and I enjoyed our dinner because of the creative menu, the pleasant candlelit ambience, and the service. We ordered several appetizers, two salads, ravioli and desert. The raviolio shell was a little too heavy, but the rest of our dishes were prepared very well. Unique wine list and great recommendation by our waiter. "Three of us ate here and loved all the plates! Polenta with truffle oil and grilled shrimp HEAVEN. The most perfectly grilled salmon ever! Veggies cooked to my guests preference. The only negative was how close the tables were hard to hear what is being said at your own table when next door is loud! And no bread on the table at an Italian restaurant? I would return undoubtedly for a special occasion."

"Have been to this restaurant a few times and the food is always good; this time was no exception. My husband and I split the roasted vegetable salad to start, which was more than enough and absolutely delicious. The couple we were with shared a few of their specialty bruschettas which they seemed to like. For some reason we all went for pasta dishes, which we all enjoyed. A special shout out for the pappardelle dish and the rigatoni bolognese, table favorites. The service was courteous and friendly and started out fine. But as the evening progressed there were long periods where our waitor disappeared. The restaurant was packed, so it was somewhat understandable and didn't ruin the evening. We will certainly be back again soon."

"love the food, ambience and service. A favorite of mine, I take all my friends & family there before anywhere else. Saturdays are a bit crazy, but the food is still fantastic.
No Zeppoles on Saturday :-("
