"The food here was good. Not great, not bad. But it was pricy. The chicken tortilla soup is very tasty and large enough to be a meal. Our waitress was the ditziest person I've ever seen. I had to look away a few times so she wouldn't see me laughing. Her best line? "The food here is usually hit or miss but right now our special are SOOOOO GOOOOOOD." What???? Won't return for those prices."

"We enjoyed our dinner at Rox on 03/29; our booth seats were comfortable and just private enough to have normal conversation. Our server was very attentive and helpful.
My choice of their 3 Skewers entree was an excellent one...the chicken, filet mignon, shrimp & roasted veggies were perfectly prepared. The skewers also came with a coconut jasmine rice side dish.
We will return soon to enjoy unique and fine dinner!"

"Dinner with friends at the Rox City Grill was an exceptional evening. The ladies met at the bar prior to dinner and enjoyed the atmosphere. The men joined for dinner. Our server was funny, smart and efficient. The bartender was talented and professional. Service was excellent all evening.
The most difficult part was figuring out what to order. Some really great menu options. The appetizers were exceptional. The sliders are themselves worth a trip to St. Charles. They are the best I have ever had. Both the presentation and the flavor of the main courses were really outstanding. Desert was great and the do-nut holes were the table favorite."

"Rox City Grill has a wonderful adult dining atmosphere! From the quaint bar scene to the jazz art inspired dining room, it is a place well worth a visit. I ordered from their Gluten free menu; lamb w/pomegranate risotto & a wedge salad that was absolutely delicious. My husband ordered the rotisserie chicken w/garlic mashed potatoes; again a superb choice! The piano player showed up around 8:00 and we fully intended to go into the bar following our dinner, but the music was too loud, so we left. Other than that, we had a great dining experience and look forward to going there again. I would highly recommend this establishment for couples or a small group of friends - not really a kid-friendly place (you won't find a kiddie menu here)."

"We were very impressed with the food as well as its presentation. It exceeded our expectations.
The atmosphere, however, was sorely lacking. Dim yellow lights and dingy interior made a disappointing
first impression. Also felt that it catered to a senior age type crowd and not a younger, more vibrant set.
The draw could be much greater if given a decor makeover to attract a more varied crowd."

"The service we received from our waitress is what kept the overall score a 4 instead of a 3. Considering the price point I expected a bit more from a steak house. Our lobster roll app was one of the best I have ever eaten. We went with the flight of steaks to sample the different preparations. It was cooked perfectly but certainly was nothing more than a B- C+ in terms of taste. The sides, which sounded appealing, were a major disappointment. I really can't say anything bad, but I can't say I will be running back soon. I wanted to ask for salt for my steak, and I assure you I was justified doing so. Go if you want a nice dinner, nice live background music, just don't expect to eat the best steak ever."

"I have a VERY restricted diet due to a medical metabolic inborn error. I am not allowed to have any type or form of protein. (I can only eat fruits and vegetables and VERY limited grain.) I always check menus before I go out to eat to see if there is something I can eat and maybe adapt a little. The Rox City grill had a salad that I could do that with so I took my bf for a nice Vday dinner. When I got there I was shocked to see a whole different menu that could not really be altered at all so that I could eat. At first it seemed as though I was SOL but my waiter jotted down the things I COULD eat and the chef put together an amazing meal that met my dietary needs. THANK YOU SO MUCH!"

"We really enjoyed our food and the service was a level above your standard "nice" restaurant. We started with a lobster bisque which was great. My husband's flight of strip steak was impeccably cooked. My tilapia was much lighter and it was just okay but every side on our two plates were delicious.
There was a large group that was loud and noise carried a bit, even from the tables close by, so it could be distracting. The manager kept paying special attention to the group (perhaps regulars or friends) but we saw her twice and never felt neglected.
