We are a Chef run bistro offering classic and updated versions of French bistro cooking since 2005. Chef Armstrong fell in love with French cookery while attending cooking school and has been busy trying to incorporate the classics from Escoffier into the menu.
We offer properly shaken/stirred cocktails, a large absinthe selection and an all French wine list...with the random Argentine or Spanish wine to keep things interesting.
We are located in a 100 year heritage building which still retains lots of character...original tin ceiling, exposed beams & brick walls. We have also added lots of antiques and original family portraits from the Armstrong family.
We may not speak French...we think the food does that for us!
"While I personally was a bit disappointed with the Moule Frites everyone else seemed to thoroughly enjoy their choices. I must admit to being a bit of a snob when it comes to mussels and fries after the Netherlans and Belgium. The dessert however was fantastic."

"I had a tasty little dinner with friends ,in the Mission district ,which is a little less hectic than 17th ave but had a safe and fun feel to the neighbourhood. The Bistro 2210 had a warm relaxed and fun feel to it. If the nights are warmer they can open up the windows extensively giving it an "Al Fresco" vibe. The service was excellent without being intrusive and the food was very good. The only thing I can find fault with is the wine list though extensive has very few less expensive options if you're going there on the cheap."

"The food was incredible and perfect portion sizes. The beef and duck were the table favorites. The booth was perfect for a group of 6 and allowed for easy conversation. The atmosphere was great for a Friday night and I will recommend this restaurant to all my friends!"

"A great French bistro environment. Excellent, caring service from the front door opening to closing behind you. Menu retains character; simple and savoury. Portions sufficient. Nice wine selection. Price points very fair. Great evening!"

"Excellent Bistro style food, lively friendly attentive wait staff. The crab coquettes are particularly good, lamb burger was excellent, chicken a bit overcooked, desserts were excellent. Serving size is moderate."

"I have been a few times to Bistro 2210, food consistently good but service the last couple of times is mediocre and unfriendly. Not sure if I will be back as there are many places with both good food and good service."
