"Slight wait. Great steaks. A ribeye with portobello crust and aged balsamic vinaigrette, a plain old Delmonico, three porterhouse, and a filet mignon. Excellent and perfectly cooked. Good sides. Very helpful waiter. Even great cheesecake. Wine prices take advantage at more than a 3-time markup, unfortunately, many steakhouses do."

"Our party had reserved a private room which was adequate for our group of nine.
The service was good but we were constantly surrounded by service staff even when not necessary.

"This is undoubtedly one of my favorite restaurants of all time. However, since I have started to lower how much sodium I consume I was surprised that while the food is still great, I could not handle how salt it was. I'm praying that management will address this issue as this is still undoubtedly from the better dining establishments around."

"Miguel absolutely made our Bachelorette lunch fabulous! We went there for a Sunday lunch to finish off our Bachelorette weekend& we were blessed by getting Miguel as a server. He is so amazing! The restaurant decorated our table &left a hard written "Congrats" note, which really made us feel special &touched. He then went on to wow &surprise us throughout the meal from Champagne, desert and beautiful red rose as a parting gift. Our group works either in the Hospitality or Luxury business &we all agreed that Miguel &the experience was by far one of the most touching &wonderful we have had or seen in a while. People like Miguel help to form a memory that from now until forever we all will love Capital Grille &go there as our celebration spot!"

"The experience was so remarkably bad that I will be writing a letter to the Capital Grille this week. The food was mediocre, and the service was not acceptable. The ladies room needs attention. Compared to Atlanta and Scottsdale, this Capital Grille is not worth the time or the money. It was a major disappointment for us to have chosen this restaurant to entertain friends from Australia who arrived on a cruise ship and were in Fort Lauderdale for the day. We ourselves came from Amelia Island to meet them and had especially chosen the Capital Grille based upon our experiences in Atlanta and Scottsdale. Unless it is totally necessary, we will never chose this restaurant again in the future."

"I have always enjoyed the Capital Grille, but this visit wasn't up to its usual standards. Although not full and with a reservation, seating seemed a bit out of control. A bottle of wine presented a challenge as they couldn't seem to find the bottle. Thankfully, they served us each a glass to hold us over until they could locate the bottle. When they finally brought the bottle, they brought it with an empty wine bucket. Although dessert had been preordered, it wasn't offered timely. Lastly, the check was slow to come.
I think this visit will be a good motivator to go with Morton's for our next dinner in Ft. Lauderdale."

"Went a bit earlier then or 8pm reservation to have a drink at the bar but people were spread out with their bags taking up all the chairs.Table we were given wasn't the best and my wife was surprised I didn't say anything but that is another story. Fortunately, the service provided by Jerry was top notch and the poor table became a minor issue.

"A wonderful restaurant offering only the highest sandard of dining experience. It was our wedding anniversary when we dined there earlier this week and they made it a very special and romantic occasion for us both. "Excellent, well priced menu that is great for an intimate occasion, family occasion or large gathering, we have done both numerous times! You can even call ahead & ask for a specific waiter for your group. Although it is an upscale restaurant, you can dress casual-comfortable (Jeans and a nice t-shirt has been seen/accepted there.)Staff is very friendly yet professional, courteous & attentive, knowledgeable & proficient. We have been to the Capitol Grille at least 30 times over the years, for all types of occasions and have never had a bad experience, dish or drink from them."

"This was a spur of the moment dinner choice for my last night on vacation and was it a good one! I hadn't been to a Capital Grille in a while and had forgotten how amazing the steaks tasted! Started with raw oysters which were clean, crisp and delicious and the calamari which were tender, flavorful and cooked to perfection. I ordered the Porterhouse medium rare because I love to get the best of both worlds; tenderloin and strip and it was near perfection. The side of Roasted Cremini, Portabella, Shiitake, Oyster Mushrooms were delicious and a perfect accompaniment to the steak. The other guests at the table ordered the sirloin special with braised and roasted mushrooms and onions which was phenomenal and the salmon special which was one of"

"Service was a bit rushed - we got the feeling that they wanted to turn over our table and we really got to much service removing plates to soon, etc. We ordered the spinach salad to be split between us. The warm salad was wilted and a bit "mushy". The salad dressing was too strong with vinegar. We both ordered fish, one was the "special" of the evening. Both were OK - not great."
