For over 30 years, one of San Diego's landmark dining destinations and one of the most unique and memorable restaurants you will ever find. Located inside a replica of a World War I French farmhouse decorated with fascinating military memorabilia, antiques, and aviation relics, the restaurant overlooks Montgomery Field Airport, and has a cozy and romantic ambiance, with large stone fireplaces intimate booths, and beautiful views. "This was our second visit. First time we went for brunch and were disappointed. Second visit we went for dinner. The food was very good and the service was excellent. Our only complaint was a family allowing there children to run around. We will return for dinner."

"Every year, my mother, my sisters, my nieces and I have a special "Girls Night Out". We always have dinner at 94th Aero Squadron. Every time we have a wonderful experience and would not think of dining anywhere else on this special night. The food is always delicious and the service is always excellent. Even though we are full to the gills we always order from the wonderful dessert menu. It is the highlight of our evening."

"I brought my wife, daughter, aunt and mother to the "94th" for an early Mother's Day dinner. Atmosphere was excellent, service was superb, thanks to Kevin! Appetizers and desserts all fine quality; bread was easy to cut and especially tasty.
Minor quibbles included seating, which would have been fine for four, but was too tight for the five at our table. The room was overly warm, probably due to the fact that we were seated adjacent to a row of windows exposed to the full sun. Finally, my prime rib was much closer to medium, rather that the medium rare requested; still very tender!
This is a pleasing venue with a unique ambience, and we'll be coming back for the champagne buffet!"

"Our 20th Anniversary dinner at 94th was great.
I asked for a romantic table for two with a view and got it.
I bought flowers to put on the table and dropped them off before hand.
Management was very nice about our requests and everyone was very friendly.

"The ambiance at this restaurant is impeccable.the food flavor was spot on.the chef has the most delicate touch.I had shrimp and scallop fettuccine which was soft and juicy.My darling wife of 40 years had the flatiron steak which was delectable.I recommend this restaurant to all who enjoy fine food and old military relics and curtsies from the past."

"I have visited this store many times over the last five years. Food is consistently good and the service is always among the best. Prime rib and a sea food with pasta were ordered for this visit. The prime rib was done properly and the sea food dish was good. Wine was 1/2 price the day we visited and regular price of the wine is within the normal range for dining out. We used an open table check to pay for part of our bill and it was accepted without problem."

"One person was handicapped, so the staff did their best to find the most suitable table. The waitress assisted her with the first course by carrying her plate and helping serve the food. Concerning the food, my scrambled eggs were cold and my waffles were tough. Every other food choice was excellent, especially the chicken entree and the lemon meringue pie. The others at the table had no complaints and thought the brunch was outstanding; they didn't have the eggs and waffles. Overall, an enjoyable experience. We've been coming to this restaurant for many years and will continue to do so."

"We had reservations for 5:00 and arrived at 4:45. We were called to our table by 5:00. There is a menu selection for everyone and food is cooked correct (steaks to temp, etc). It is a similar menu to the Butcher Shop but seems to be cooked better (especially the chicken roulade). All in all, a special dinner with friends on Easter."

"This is truly a delightful restaurant! The food is absolutely wonderful; the service is fantastic and the ambiance is a lovely English country from World War I. You wouldn't think all those things fit together in one place but the 94th pulls it off impecably! This is a wonderful place to take your sweetie, your spouse, your family or your friends. They go above and beyond to make your eating experience more than just a "place to eat". Make visiting the 94th a priority. It's soooo worth it!!"

"My wife and I had heard lot's of good things about the 94th Aero so we decided to give it a try. We made reservations for Noon, and got there about 10 minutes early. There was a pretty large group of people waiting for tables, which we generally view as a positive sign. We did have to wait for a table, but being seated at 12:05 for a 12:00 reservation with that kind of crowd is perfectly reasonable.
Things kind of went downhill from there. While our server was well-spoken and reasonably attentive we often found ourselves with empty glasses and plates waiting to be taken away. The food was plentiful but very ordinary in most cases, and in some instances outright unappealing. We will probably not be returning."

"An early Easter brunch with 7 family members, ages 7 to 87. Everyone was delighted with the food served - from meats at a carving station to crab legs and shrimp, from eggs benedict to omelets made to order, from champagne to cappuccino, from pies, cakes, and a chocolate fountain to handmade crepes suzette. So much delicious food in a restaurant filled with WWI artifacts. Wonderful service in spite of the restaurant being very busy."

"the ambiance is amazing. good food selection and tasty. only issue was an overcooked steak. my friend ate it and enjoyed it. waitress and cook were apologetic. overall great experience. a diamond in the rough!"

"This place ranks high on my brunch list. Very high. Endless champange, tables packed with food, cranberry and orange if u want to make mimosas. They also have fabulous cappuccinos. Its like vegas! Except it is in a old French building overlooking Montgomery field. Lots of WWI memorabilia. They also have crab legs, shrimp, ceviche, eggs Benedict, a crepe station, and omelette station. Definitely recommend. I'll be back!"

"Normally I would recommend this place, but on this last visit they really dropped the ball and I was extremely disappointed. Didn't get the server we asked for in the reservation as we've done many times before, but it was busy so I'll let that go. Waiting for over 20 minutes for water, however, is unacceptable and it left me fuming. There was a party of about 30 there that probably threw things off but a restaurant like this should be prepared for that. Our server was overwhelmed but did what he could so I don't blame him for anything. But no guest should have to wait at a table for 20+ minutes before getting water. The food is good but not great. In the past I would recommend, but based on this visit I would not. Very disappointing."

"My wife and I have been coming here for many years. We can never seem to find that great service from the servers. We always seem to be looked over for champagne after the first two refills, this always makes me think why does the table next to us seem to be getting all the attention? Don't be surprised if you are not a caucasun party the be prepared to be overlooked for great service. My advice to this place would be to train their staff to recognize that the money is all green."

"Fabulous Sunday brunch. Loved Steve the waiter who was attentive and personable. Had 5 in our table for a birthday and were seated in 5 minutes despite arriving 10 minutes prior to our reservation. I loved the teriyaki salmon, the teen enjoyed the nachos, birthday girl liked the ribs, the dieter had lots of fruit, the guy enjoyed the omelet station; something for everyone! I had strawberries dipped under chocolate fountain for desert & pecan pie. It was busy at 10:30 but no waiting at the unattended dishes, which were all full when I filled my plate. Brief wait at the omelet station, no wait at the beef carving station. The pleasant crew really sets a tone for an enjoyable brunch. Astounding value. Nice memory - hope to return many times!"

"We enjoyed the ambiance, the food, and the friendly service once we were seated. The fireplaces and decor were warm and inviting for aviation enthusiasts, history buffs and couples wanting a romantic meal together. However, we had to search for a host to notify that we had arrived, and no attempt was made to let us know that our table was ready, or even to see if we wanted drinks while waiting within sight of the bar. Reservation: 5:30; Arrived: 5:00; found host: 5:05; entire party arrived by 5:25; tracked down host again 5:55; When we were seated it seemed like an eternity before they brought water. Also, the waiting area and bar were very spacious, but the seating at the table was cramped for a large group."

"Everything as far as the dining experience was great. The door service on the other hand can use a bit of work. The security was trying to have myself and party get in line even though we had reservations. Being charged $20 at the door even though we sat down to eat was a bit ridiculous. A bit more friendlier staff at the door wouldn't hurt. The staff at the reservations desk and the waiters were AMAZING though!"

"Was not impressed at all. This was my first time and last time. For starters we had to pay $40 for our reserved table and then had to show a receipt to get some of that money back. The service was slow and the food was not that great. Dissatisfied customer :-("

"First time here for their famous Sunday Brunch and it was awesome. Having a reservation definitely helped, it was very crowded with hungry patrons, there was a variety of food stations and it was all delicious. Did not know where to go first as far as food was concerned. Our server Anne was wonderful, helpful, full of suggestions, always smiled and asked if we wanted more to drink or help in any way. Will go back again."

"We met up with a friend I hadn't seen for years, I suggested the 94th and she had never heard of it!! She grew up in San Diego. Any way we had a very good dinner and both her and her husband enjoyed eveything. The steak he had, he said was great, I had prime rib, very good and done the way I ordered it. The scallops and shrimp were excellent, no complaints at all. Service was spot on."
