"I went there with a business group...the seating was much too tight for 6 people, so I asked for another table, which was again very tiight. On the third try the staff provided comfortable seating. I thing this is a great place for friends but not for people conducting business who do not know each other well."

"Was there on a Sunday and although the place was packed (with people waiting to be seated) our table was ready at our reserved time & we never felt rushed so they could turn the table over. The food was quite good and with a wide selection of breakfast foods salads, entrees and sushi. Great place for groups of people with varying tastes. Service was ok, we never got bread for the table nor were we read the specials (hearing it read to others and seeing bread on other tables one would assume these should have been part of our dining experience). Otherwise the waiter was nice and service good.
The only negative would be that it was incredibly loud in there, to the point where it was difficult to hear someone across the table from you."

"Waited at our table 15 minutes for waitperson to take drink orders, which were brought 10 minutes later. Asked for refills on bread. He forgot, until I reminded him 15 minutes later. One half hour after we sat down he asked for our orders, which came 45 minutes later.
This was lunchtime and the restaurant was not at full capacity, by any means."

"For those on a limited budget there is a prix-fix lunch and variety of prix-fix dinners. We chose not to go with the prix-fix as we love to try a variety of foods. Unique and delicious three tacos sushi were fabulous. Skin was like a fried won ton skin.We followed this with a hot salmon dish that my husband could not stop raving about it on a bed of asparagus, mushrooms and a variety of Peruvian potatoes, etc. I had a fabulous cold salad with crab meat, scallops, and shrimp with varied greens, corn and asparagus and a light citrus dressing on the side. it was so good I had it all. Wonderful rolls and butter accompanied the lunch."

"Our server was inattentive. The pre appetizer/taster was never offered and when I asked our server she said that the table next to ours requested it. Interestingly enough every table must have requested the same soup taster. The shrimp cocktail had veins in it which I sent back. My main dinner entre, the tuna wasabe, was medium rare cold and finally I had to wait 10 minutes for a re-fill on my coffee.
I have been a long time patron, eating at Atlantic Grill once every three weeks, on avaerage, and I am convinced that I can no longer dine here."

"Although the food was good, is was by no means exceptional, and the value proposition just doesn't impress in this city of so many great restaurants. The sushi rolls were fine (a mainstay for appetizers there), but the sauteed trout was limp with an insipid sauce. Others in our party had other dishes that were fine, but not as flavorful as one would expect from this well-established UES seafood eatery. Perhaps an off day, but hopefully future experiences will be better there."

"Love this place and is consistently delicious.
Great shrimp and lobster spring roll appetizers! Beet salad with goat cheese croquettes is a must if you like beets (they're golden ones, too). Calamari is nice and tender. AMAZING Chilean sea bass entree. And banana tower is a no-brainer but the vanilla creme brulee is close second.
Service is also thorough - called the morning of about a birthday in the group and they were ready with a candle and chocolates for my mom. Angel is an excellent waiter.
It's often busy so try to make a reservation if you have a big group. Overall, recommend."

Our waiter was really good, and extremely attentive. The only problem was when it got crowded, the service kind of slowed since he was responsible for so many tables. Nevertheless, the service was great overall.

"It was great. Everyone enjoyed the food although the wine that we ordered proved more expensive than I had thought fair. The other negative was the waiter's error in calculating the bill. "The worst restaurant experience in ny. I had two guests and was embarrassed. Supposed to be a seafood restaurant and after we ordered swordfish and bronzing which are standard menu items they told us they were out of both...the maite di balked at my request to adjust the bill, said he would and didn't.. "First time at the restaurant. Sushi was fresh and excellent. Sea bass entree was great. Good selection of fish and seafood to satisfy everyone's needs. Decent wine selection, good service. A bit disappointing that daily special of swordfish was gone at 6 PM. Steak was order medium well and came out close to rare. Will definitely return."
