"We enjoyed ourselves, however, we were celebrating an anniversay and when we arrived they did not reserve a great table with a view. They sat us in a booth that was near the front entrance, nothing special at all. The food was good, small portions and somewaht expensive. The waiter was pleasant, but really wasn't anything special. They have an excellent location and could really make this a destination for locals and tourist alike. I'm a local person and had it been a bit more pleasant I would have put this on my list of local eateries, to me it was just so,so!!!"

Review 2 for Red Marlin - Hyatt Regency Mission Bay
"This restaurant has an enviable Mission Bay location and good food. But the service is terrible. Even though it was not busy, the waiter was both lazy and incompetent. An example: he would ask if anyone would like wine and two people would say "yes.". Then one person ordered a glass of Chardonnay and before another person could speak and without looking to anyone else, the waiter would spin away. You had to await his return to place the second order. Amazingly, this also happened with dessert and then for after dinner coffee. He never came back to check on the orders served until the plates were taken away. And the orders were not completely correct.
It would be difficult to return."

Review 4 for Red Marlin - Hyatt Regency Mission Bay
"This continues to be my go-to when it comes to holiday brunches. It is not a huge, grandiose venue (a la Hotel Del), which I absolutely despise when it comes to brunches. No problems finding parking, no waiting forever in the omelet line, etc. The spread is always spot on for our expectations. The service has always been fast, friendly, and professional. I have nothing but good things to say and I'm industry."

Review 5 for Red Marlin - Hyatt Regency Mission Bay
"The clams are delicious! The prices are a little expensive but when you go on vacation, it's expected. The view was lovely and my wife and I had an amazing time."

Review 6 for Red Marlin - Hyatt Regency Mission Bay
"The food was very good, as was the service. We were happy with the timeliness of receiving our food once we ordered. This is always important when you have two children who were non-stop most of the day!"

Review 7 for Red Marlin - Hyatt Regency Mission Bay
"Pricey, but excellent food. Were seated at a window table, and waiters were all attentive. Wedge salad was large and fresh; swordfish was fresh and couscous with peas delicious; crab cake was tasty and succulent, and chicken flat bread was quite good (although a little dry). We would definitely go again, but would also definitely want some kind of discount (we had a 20% off coupon), as the prices are high."

Review 8 for Red Marlin - Hyatt Regency Mission Bay
"We ate here when we stayed at the Hyatt recently. The service was outstanding, the restaurant is beautiful, but unfortunately the food was less than expected. Primarily, everything was very salty. I had the scallops and they were a little overcooked and salty. The spinach & kale was so salty we couldn't eat it, and my son's steak was really overseasoned. Given the limited dining establishments in the area, hopefully they will work out the issues with the food."

Review 9 for Red Marlin - Hyatt Regency Mission Bay
"Service was outstanding. Food was pretty good. Selection was fair to poor. Price was too high. My wife and I try out a new different Sunday brunch on every holiday. This one was below par overall. Little selection that came with a very high price tag compared to Humphrey's or Hilton Bayfront. Would not recommend unless you like to pay too much for too little in a very noisy atmosphere."

Review 12 for Red Marlin - Hyatt Regency Mission Bay
"Our order was wrong for the appetizers and main course. I was brought a dish I did not order for dinner and waited while my friends ate over half of their meal until my correct dish came. The waiter disappeared for long periods of time and we had to finally ask to have him bring the bill despite being done with the dessert for quite some time. Too many good places in San Diego to return here."

"Our waiter Charlie was awesome! Walked us through the menu and we never felt rushed. Firefly at The Dana should take notes on the impeccable service."
