"I told a bunch of my friends that I was going to be going here and they all raved about how good it was. I was dissapointed actually. I called ahead to tell them that it was my dates birthday and the man on the phone told me what he was going to do for us (nothing incredibly special, but still) and when we got there, nothing happened. It took forever to get our food and our waiter was rude and seemed like he did not want to be there."

"My overall experience was very good--and the waiter was prompt. My food, a shrimp quesadilla, was colder than I would have liked. Most people were happy but one other guest of mine also complained about cold food. Normally I have no complaints, but this time the food quality was less I'm normally used to for Dos Caminos. I do tend to frequent the one on Park Avenue more than the one on 50th though."

"There was 5 people in our party for lunch. Our waiter wasn't very friendly. He never brought over chips & salsa & when someone in my party asked for them the waiter said "they aren't free, you can have them but you have to pay $4". We declined solely based on his curt attitude - $4 is not unreasonable, however myself & those in my party eat lunch at this very Dos Caminos about once a month for the last 2 years & I have NEVER once paid for chips. We asked the 5 tables around us if they were being charged for their chips & salsa & not one other table was charged (none had any ordered any appetizers either) & no one at the tables were told about the charge. I saw it on the menu but have no idea why we were charged and no one else was."

"It was a late April early afternoon and the sun was shining - finally spring is here! I had been to Dos Caminos several times when I lived in Manhattan and now returning as a tourist, I wanted to go back to a tried and true place for fabulous food! My guest and I sat outdoors (they have a nice outdoor area right in the middle of midtown) which added to the nice, relaxing atmosphere. Of course we started with the always delicious guacamole and I had enchiladas for my lunch entree. Delicious! Delicious! Delicious! Service was friendly and attentive. Dos Caminos is my go-to whenever I'm in the city!"

"When we walked in, the music was so loud we could barely speak. The bar was full and so we were crunched in a small space, waiting for our table. we had a wonderful table downstairs that was quite and intimate. The food, however, was a NIGHTMARE. I went to Dos Caminos Park Ave when it first opened and thought it was amazing. The quality of food has changed for the worse, it is now reminiscent of a TV dinner.
Will not be returning to Dos Caminos."

"Great place for a large group, but wow has this place down hill since my last visit to the Park Ave So location. Our waiter was just barely familiar with the drink menu or regular menu. Upon asking for a spicy margarita recommendation, he suggests a drink w/ Sky Vodka. Could not answer most of our questions. Took forever to come and go. And the food did not quite make up for it. The Guac is no longer resembles table side fresh, as the avocado was still coming to temperature from refrigeration. The cilantro, onion and jalapeno were fresh (maybe). Tortilla soup was bland. Fish Tacos were DRENCHED in mayo. Serves its purpose for last min group reservation. Not going back any time soon."

"This was my first time to this location and it was great!!!! I started my evening with a Mango Margarita, chips and salsa. Once my party was complete we were shown to our table and our drinks delivered to us. I love the guacamole that I make, it's gotten plenty of AAAA's but the one at Dos Caminos is awesome! We, my cousins and I were there to remissness about close members that had recently passed and enjoy each others company which we all needed, we are very very close, well, it was great for our spirit to be there. We laughed, cried and had good food, drinks and service. So thank you for making our special evening, more special. Will be back."

"Was here with my six year old, mother in law, sister in law and three year old niece for lunch on Saturday. Great place for kids. Hostess was fabulous in giving us extra crayons and wiki sticks so there would be no fighting between the girls. Wait staff was so friendly. Guacomole was to die for! "not exceptional food at all. guacamole was fresh; but the spice added to it to make it "medium" tasted fake, like it was artificial flakes of hot pepper. fish tacos presented well, but fish was completely unedible, over done.
took the waiter a VERY long time to get our drinks. not his fault; bar was always packed/slammed. great waiter, though. tried his best and was super friendly.
atmosphere rocks, beautiful, comfortable, energetic, lively.

"Dos Caminos is fun, delish and great to place to get the party started. Went for a 25+ birthday party and had a ball. The Best Guac in NYC, great margaritas and Alice our server was terrific. Mgr's were great too... it was a great party- food was so good, service top notch and drinks are always special.

"A Monday night, not too crowded. We were ushered to the back at dinner time. Friendly waiter took our drink orders. We ordered wines by the glass. They did let us each have a taste first. The wines were all syrupy, awful. Terrible quality.The spicy guac was excellent. Another waiter took over and he was surly, officious, and rude about our ordering - which, by the way, we hadn't even done. We smiled, we pleased. He went away. Later, when he brought our dinners, again he was demeaning and rude.Our dinners didn't help matters along; I had the enchiladas, dreadful. She had the tuna ceviche, and it was ok. There are other trendy Mexican spots around. Forget Dos Camino for food."

"Went with a party of six on a Sat. night for a birthday dinner. Good food, good service, good time. I did notice that our food took a while to arrive from what I'm accustomed to. But we were having such a good time and were in no rush, that it didn't affect us. The place was full and bustling with large parties, one table across the room had 20 guests."

"Good mexican spot in the city. Much better than Rose Mexicano. Portions are way better and are not as bland. The waiter was great and very knowledgable. The one thing I didn't like was the fact that the Guacamole came in a plastic knockoff stone pestle instead of a real stone one."

"SLOW service. Not a HUGE menu. Had quesadilla and it was average. Nothing spectacular that I would NEED to go back there for. Got loud and club like, and very dark. Couldnt see my food. Waiter was a bit rude, and took 45 mins - an hour for food after we ordered."
