"The sushi rolls are outstanding. The service leaves a bit to be desired, but I'll keep coming back for the food. Also, the Asian Sangria is amazing! So delicious- gotta try it."

"Food was great but it took a long time to arrive. Those who ordered after us seemed to get their meals much more quickly. Would like to try again as it looks like a fun place to go with a group."

"If you've been to one, you've been to them all. Asian Spice is on the outer rim of the noisy and boisterous "new" Chinatown. It is what you'd expect for the location and the clientele. While it is nice that it has an outside seating area (which is actually rare for the area), and the inside decor is a bit over the top, almost kitschy Asian style, it would be odd to actually travel to dine there unless your draw was run of the mill "continental" Asian food (which is a mixture of Thai, Chinese, and Japanese items on the menu) or the location (near Verizon Center and the Convention Center). The food doesn't stand out. The "Thai" chicken skewers were no different from anywhere else, the panang was passable but familiar, the sushi was okay."

"Loved the options at Asian Spice. We had spring rolls, edamame, Thai Basil Chicken, Pad Thai, Refugee Noodles, Thai Chicken Salad, and a sushi roll. Everything was wonderful! We will definitely be back and recommending Asian Spice to others.
Service was great as well---we were given a very thorough explanation of the menu."

"The food was good, but nothing exceptional- fairly standard Asian, heavy on the Thai. The noodle dishes were very good. We ordered spring rolls, but they never arrived. The server seemed very flustered and it wasn't particularly crowded. Quite a bit of noise from the bar downstairs. If you're in the neighborhood, it's probably a good choice, but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat there again."

"The food was quite good, unfortunately the service was terrible so not sure I would recommend this restaurant. We spent most of our dinner waiting and he was not helpful. Too bad."

"Very noisy. And, while food was quite good, it seems very popular with tourists and families. Accordingly, if looking for quiet conversation, this is not the place."

"We introduced friends visiting from Singapore, who had eaten hotdogs, pizza and hamburgers the previous 4 days of their East Coast visit, so they were absolutely thrilled to be able to find pan-Asian cuisine that was not only a welcome diversion from standard tourist fare, but also almost quite as good as what they enjoy at home in Singapore. The wait staff were exceptionally attentive and the food was as delicious as always."

"Great food with a large menu and a wide variety, a great choice for a group because there is something for everyone. The service can be a bit slow, but overall this is a great option for reasonably priced dining in Chinatown."

"Asian Spice was a fun, hip place to go for a birthday dinner. The Summer in Panang cocktail was delicious and brough me back to my vacation in Tahiti. the Tom Yumm Soup was a little bland but my party enjoyed the wonton soup. the sushi was good - but too many of the "special" rolls get the flavor from tempura seafood or flakes. overall it was good but not the best i've had around the city."

"Very disappointing. Food came out within minutes of ordering. Felt like it was pre-prepared. Apart from the blue cheese and crab rangoons, we were not impressed. The seared tuna salad was cooked almost all the way through. Had previously enjoyed this restaurant a lot, but there are too many other options to return."

"Interesting menu. The wonton soup was the best ever. When the food is served it is still hot which is important for me. Later we found out you can order the entryies at any degree of spiciness. One guest was a vegetarian and the server willingly substituted tofu in the dish, no problem. Even though the servers constantly removed dishes that were finished, the only problem was that the tables were relatively small, at least in the upstairs dining area. To get upstairs there is a narrow spiral staircase, which could be a problem for some guests."

"The food and service was fine. The Manger was great. His name is Sacrey and he stopped by to introduce himself and ask us how our Asian Spice expereince was. He is very knowledgable about the food items on the menu. He has great customer service and was a lot of fun."

"Service was especially good, considering the Chinese New Year crowd, and we were on a tight schedule. Our server was very helpful with good suggestions from the wide array of menu choices. Food was very good. Loved the sparkling sake."

"I go to Asian Spice about 4 times a year because a friend really likes their food. I've always found the waiters to be "cool" - but not in a good way -- but, in a way that conveys, I could less if you eat here or not. They are efficient, but not very personable or friendly. They NEVER ask if you've been there before and suggest anything on the menu...Just a higher end Chinese joint if you ask me."

"My Pear Saketini was tasty, but a bit on the strong side. My husband's Sumatran Sunset was delicious, fruity with a slight hint of rum--not only did it taste like sunset, it looked like it too with foam and an Asian character on top of the foam. My Summer In Peking was champagne with St. Germaine Elder flower and lychee fruit was amazing, sweet and refreshing and served in a wine glass with a healthy pour--loved it! The Imperial Wonton Soup was divine, nice size, good portion for two with at least four plump wontons with good tasting minced chicken, shrimp and scallop inside but not to doughy and the perfect amount of scallions and bok choy. The Duck Roll was delicious, thinly sliced pieces of duck delicately wrapped in malaysian nan"

"I liked Asian Spice and would go back. They didnt have the pear sake-Toni which I was dissapointed about and the ambiance can be a little loud because of the music, but the food was excellent and the manager was great. He goes to all the tables and jokes around with the clientele and makes sure that we are enjoying ourselves which I thought made the whole experience worthwhile. Definetly a must!"

"We loved this small and intimate oasis in the hustle and bustle of Gallery Place. What a treasure to find this lovely restaurant with great service and delicious food selections just steps from the Verizon Center! I think this will be our new "go to" spot whenever we are at the Verizon Center for a game or a show. It doesn't matter whether you like sushi or pud thai, this place is "everything asian." We loved the duck, and the asian beef appetizer was flavorful and fresh. For a real treat, try the ginger-flavored drink."

"This was our first visit and it was fantastic! The staff was incredibly friendly, especially the Manager (if that was his title?) and very attentive. The food was full of flavor and fresh ingredients. I only struggled with which entree' to select because they all looked so wonderful. While I cannot eat sushi, I saw plenty of people around me who ordered it and it looked absolutely delightful. I will have to return after having my baby to try their sushi!
Would definitely return and have already recommended it to friends!"
