"We had an exceptional waiter who knew we were waiting for a friend to arrive. She was 20 minutes plus late. He was patient but attentive. At one point, we decided to order lunch and about 5 minutes later, she arrived. He quickly offered her something to drink and asked if she wanted to order. She was the person in our group that had asked that we meet at an Italian restaurant!! Our waiter actually put a hold on our food prep so that everything was done at the same time. Kudos!!! Sorry, forgot his name.
Very nice restaurant with good service and food. I'd recommend you try this place!!"

"It was a nice place to be and was quiet with an elegant ambiance. The food was great and the service 'Excellent'. Catered to what our needs were and also adding extra spice 'on request' that made me relish the food is awesome! Frequent checks at the table to ensure we are doing well is to be appreciated. Water was filled every few minutes, so never was thirsty :). Overall, great place for dinner and they were kid-friendly, kids menu was good there. Worth the dollars we paid - about $50.00 for 2-adults + 1-child"

"Really nice place to dine. There are private areas with just a few booths or the main restaurant. The food is excellent and reasonably priced. The main entrance is on Farwell altho the address is on Mowry so it is a little hard to find."

"we went for an anniversary dinner. this is an old school Italian restaurant with table side salad and dessert service. we had a very nice meal and the staff was very friendly and helpful. the wine list was not extensive but they had really nice selection. the only down note would be tthat there was a very loud man in the booth next to us toward the end of our meal"

"We arrived on time for our 6pm dinner reservation and were seated promptly. After about a 10 minutes later our waiter, Ted, took our drink orders and our drinks arrived shortly. We then placed our dinner orders - Calamari appetizer, their famous Ceasar Salad prepared tableside for two, a Veal Marsala dinner and a Risotto with Prawns dinner special. From then on it seems we were forgotten because it was 6:45pm before anyone bothered to bring us the bread basket. It was 6:55pm when they delivered the Calamari appetizer,7:10pm for a disappointing ceasar salad and 7:20pm for our main courses after we commented on the long wait. We can deal with the long wait if the food was great, but it was only mediocre at best. Will never eat here again."

"I must start by saying your restaurant came highly recommended by a friend. I attended with my mother for Easter Brunch. The "second" waiter spilled a mimosa all over me. Of course, he felt awful, but it definitely affected my enjoyment as I was covered and embarassed. I had to ask twice for a replacement for my mimosa. No one seemed too concerned about making this a good experience for me despite the mistakes of the staff.
My real waiter wasn't here and I assumed I spilled it on myself. It appeared to me that the wait staff should have been informed of this fairly disastrous treatment of a customer. I was not offered any apology, discount, or special attention. I believe a manager should have apologized and offered me a discount"

"The menu has been downsized since my last visit one year ago, but the food was still excellent. Our waiter, Ted, is as good as any waiter I've had in Manhattan. The only problem was the noise level in the restaurant; we paid for an expensive meal so we could have a pleasant conversation on a special occasion. Instead, some folks decided to bring their toddler to Fremont's best restaurant (I will never understand this) and thought that it would be fun to play games with him that would elicit happy shrieks and squeals. While this isn't the restaurant's fault, they should have reseated the group in one of the side rooms. Thus, I cannot give a rating that the food and service otherwise warrant."

"Thank goodness that this legacy restaurant has weathered the economic storm to shine as our economy and area recovers! It's strong ties to Fremont's royalty and financial leaders ensure its continuity! Having dined there since 1994, very little has changed, and that is a great thing. Be prepared for outstanding service, friendly staff, delicious food, tableside service, and the warmth and charm of Mrs. Renetti, the proprietor! What a great place to take friends and family! "My wife and I are returning customers. Massimo's rivals the best restaurants in the Bay Area. Great Italian/American food. Excellent ambiance and service. We started off with our favorite appetizer, Cajun Rock Shrimp. It was excellent, as usual. Our server, Dave, was very helpful in describing the several specials, not on the menu. I had the Jumbo Shrimp with Risotto, and my wife had the Macadamia nut encrusted Mahi-Mahi. Both dishes were excellently prepared. The portions were generous, and we both took home containers with the leftovers."

"Thank you for offering 5 or 6 excellent vegetarian entrees! Our group includes vegetarians and they usually do not have many choices; most restaurants only offer one, sometimes two, veggie options. Kudos to Massimo's for staying ahead of the curve, as more and more people are looking for meatless options.
We wish that our nuts-and-bleu cheese salads had had more nuts and bleu cheese; there were just one or two crumbles of each. However, overall we were pleased, and our server was patient with our long pauses between courses."

"We met friends for a special dinner and were very disappointed with the entire dining experience! The pesto ravioli was hideous.It contained so much salt it was almost inedible. The bus person spilled an entire glass of cold ice water on me. I know it was an accident but it went totally unmentioned by the entire restaurant staff. I sat the entire evening in totally soaked pants and the management didn't even compensate a cup of coffee. My fettuccine alfredo was horrendous as well. I asked for no chicken and to substitute vegetables. The vegetables consisted of some thin slices of red and yellow pepper. The alfredo sauce had broken down and tasted like over cooked milk. We ordered the bruschetta and for $8.00 we got (4) slices of bread."
