The Inn at Sugar Hill
The Courier Post recently honored the Inn with three & a half stars boasting, “Owner/chef Larry Boylan has put a kitchen full of thought into his waterside Inn at Sugar Hill.” That “thought” process has been ongoing for Boylan & his Inn for 22 years now, with no signs of letting up. “ I believe a good dining experience has the ability to not only nourish the body, but also nourish a persons’ soul… to be able to reach out & touch someone on that level is a high that gives me a lot of satisfaction & motivates me”, states Boylan. As an authentic Country Inn, the Inn at Sugar Hill has always strives to provide old world hospitality to both its’ dining & bed & breakfast guests. This philosophy has led to creating menus that reflect not only current culinary trends, but also respect the palates of those less adventurous. “Before I print a new menu I always look it over & say… what are my parents going to order & then… what are my teenage daughters going to like!

"Mary Pat couldn't have been more welcoming, after our ordeal finding the place. We were set on having a leisurely 3 hour lunch, and we got it. Corner table overlooking green lawns down to the River. Perfectly executed martini and an excellent house white. The one disappointment was the pedestrian menu, which didn't at all live up to the enticing photos and hype on the website. The actual menu seemed geared to a no-nonsense. large-crowd approach that probably works well for the Inn's upcoming summer season, and their bottom line. Here again, however, the gracious attitude of the staff (Mary Pat was our one-person host/ bartender/waiter) carried the day and we left feeling we'd come back, with our culinary expectations somewhat lowered."

"This is our second time going for dinner this month. Once for our anniversary just my husband and I and this time to celebrate both my husband and my birthday and we celebrated with 2 friends from Jamison Pa. (about 2 hr drive). The food is delicious, the view is amazing. We had the same waitress both times she is EXCELLENT! The other young lady that will fill water glasses etc is also so sweet. Both have great personalities. We will definitely be back."

"We enjoyed a wonderful night at The Inn at Sugar Hill. The bar area is very welcoming & we enjoyed listening to the guitar soloist/singer while there. The dining room was beautiful and we lucky enough to be seated at a fireplace on a cold & blustery night. I would have awarded 5 stars if my husband's medium steak wasn't slightly overcooked. It was AC Restaurant Week so we'll attribute it to that.
With that said, we'll definitely be back and look forward to a drink/meal on the patio during warmer weather."

"This is my fourth time dining at the Inn at Sugar Hill. I love the atmosphere and the especially the food. I went with my two adult children for Atlantic City Restaurant Week and was pleased to find a vegan dish on the menu since this is the first time that I ate there since going vegan. It will always be one of our favorite places to go and I would definitely recommend making reservations since even on a Tuesday night it was packed."

"We stayed at the Inn for Valentine's Day weekend. The service, hospitality and food was highly memorable and impeccable due to the service and care of all the employees we encountered. We highly recommend visiting, dining, and staying at the Inn at Sugar Hill as you won't regret it! "Wonderful dinner! We were lucky and got a table in front of a fireplace. The food (emerald scallops, duck, raw oysters) was excellent & the waitress really knew her menu & wine list (pairings, freshness, specials, etc.). Finally, a place without ridiculously large desserts & that gives you portion choices! Seating and service was a little slow due to how crowded they were. The waitress didn't bring our drinks until we received our appetizer, which reduced the number of drinks we bought & saved us some money so we can't complain. Lights seemed a little bright for nighttime, but it was still cozy. Great dining for a reasonable price in a charming location with friendly, helpful staff. Looking forward to returning!"
