"So outstanding we went back twice and each of us got the exact same thing! the Apple French Toast was RIDICULOUSLY good, as was the maple bacon and the hash browns with cheese and pico. Great great spot. A bit noisy inside but lovely aside from that. Good service."

"Definitely not a quiet romantic spot, but to people who appreciate a creative, well planned menu, executed to perfection with a great knowledgable staff this place is terrific. Source local foods. I've had the seared ahi on curry coconut rice as well as their take on an enchilada which is more like a large layer of manchago cheese pulled white meat and a curtido (Salvadorean slaw) over a tangy charred tomatillo salsa. Both are AMAZING!
Grab a cookie on the way out. They're ridiculous!"

"We love M Street, and have been there for happy hour on a number of occasions (kids eat free!). This trip, however, was a bit below par. After some confusion about our rezzie (another, larger, party of the same name at the same time), we were seated in the noisier, busier bar-and-high-tables area, despite requesting a booth on the rezzie. Less than ideal. The kitchen was slammed at that intersection of happy hour and regular evening crowd, so the meal was not as good as usual. Normally, M Street does a well-above-average job with the food, at reasonable prices. This night, it was just average. I think they need to step it up more during happy hour. But we will go back, since it's really a wonderful neighborhood spot and we do enjoy it."

"Enjoyed lunch with my son at M Street Kitchen this week. I look forward to trying more items from the menu. We shared the Bibb lettuce salad, a lovely combination of Bibb lettuce, golden and red beets, goat cheese all tossed in an excellent vinaigrette. I then had the pulled chicken, purple kale, and bean soup, which was overall delicious, though a bit salty. My son had one of the burgers (green chile) and fries....both of which were delicious.... We finished with one of M Street's notable chocolate chip cookies."

"Had a great time. Happened to book reservation during happy hour time which was a fun surprise. Lots of great deals - appetizers, sushi and a burger and a great selection of drinks. Enjoyed the sangria. But also had full regular menu to choose from too. Very good food with a cool, casual atmosphere. Will definitely go back."

"The M Street Kitchen's dishes are well prepared and consistently delicious! I recommend the salmon - either in the form of sushi or glazed. The featured wines are always a good value especially during happy hour. Food and wine is best enjoyed on the heated patio."

"When dining out we prefer not to eat with dogs nearby. The table near us had 4 ladies with 4 dogs. They were well behaved dogs and it was a better option outside with against the many children inside the restaurant. Service was just okay. Maybe not such a great date night dinner. We should have gone next door."

"I'm a huge fan of Mon Ami Gabi (one of this groups' other restaurant's) for their great crepes and French Toast. The French Toast here is equally as sublime and the daily housemade muffins are the best I have ever eaten. On 2/20 it was orange-chocolate-cherry. C'est manifique! The salads are fantastic too...every dish looked to be wonderful 'Just a word of advice - DO NOT WALK PAST THE BAKERY COUNTER IN THE TAKE-OUT AREA; Really!"

"Great neighborhood restaurant. The food and service were both great. The only bad thing that happened was that our booth was not cleaned properly and I sat on some food residue and ruined my pants. The dry cleaner could not even get the stain out."

"M Street Kitchen was nothing, but a huge disappointment. We were there for the dineLA menu, but decided to choose items from the regular menu. Tuna tar tar was underseasoned and plated sloppily. Plain chopped tuna was served over plain avocado, then throw tortilla chips around. Coconut curry rice did complement grilled tuna, was just terrible. Other dishes, burrata and roasted beets and grilled pork chops were just okay, nothing specutacular. While ingredients were fresh, they not prepared and seasoned correctly. The server was missing in action most of time. Overall experience with M Street Kitchen was far below average. We will not go back and will not recommend this place to anyone."

"Love th restaurant, the food and the service. HOWEVER, be warned, the CITY of SANTA MONICA has installed new computerized parking meters and you have ONLY ONE HOUR parking. So be preared to get up in the middle of meal and move you car. This is unfair to the restaurants and other businesses in the area."

"I had a wonderful experience once again at M Street Kitchen. They were ready with our table right away and we were seated promptly. Our server couldn't have been nicer--I had questions that she answered which helped me with my menu choices. And she was right--the entree I ordered (the ahi tuna) was wonderful--I didn't even have any leftovers which is a first! We had a $20 off coupon and she handled that perfectly. The food--both mine and my friend's--was fantastic. I have been to this restaurant before and I will continue to go there."
