Located on Freeport's Nautical Mile, Nautilus Cafe offers the finest Fresh Seafood, Large Lobster and Prime Steaks, served in a nicely appointed dining room with tables covered in white tablecloths. With a beautiful view of Woodcleft Canal we are a spin off of the famous Dar Tiffany and Scotch & Sirloin restaurants.

"The menu was limited for Mother's Day. And very very expensive.
$18 for 4 shrimp , no thanks
After looking at the menu and the prices, all 3 of us wanted to leave. But decided to stay since we had already eaten the complimentary bread.
My mom ordered the oven roasted salmon for $29. ale shrimp $27 for shrimp , no rice, no veggies,no pasta!
Broccoli was $7!
So the bill was $142 for 2 fish steaks/fillets , 3 handfuls of salad and 1 lobster. We asked for more bread to curb our hunger. The bread basket had 1 sesame roll, 1 potato roll, 3 carrot bread and poppy bread sticks.
Service
The waiter never came back after taking our order, just came back to give is the bill. The busboys were quick to take away clutter and keep our water glasses full."

"My husband and I have been here several times now, and the food is always outstanding. We were seated right on time. The server promptly took and delivered our drink order and gave a good rundown of the specials, but was very slow to return to take our food order. She made some excuse about getting hung up with another table but, we could see all the other tables and she was not at any of them. It was minor enough, but we were starving! It certainly wouldn't prevent us from returning."

"Food decent (nice salad) good service. People at bar "over-celebrated" Kentucky Derby, very loud woman kept yelling "I won $7".Freeport is an area that was hit very hard by Sandy, we decided to eat there to help the local economy(at least to a small degree) We will return to The restaurant again."

"Compared to other times we have eaten here, it was a disaster. We went with friends from out of town who look forward to New York seafood. Beginning with the appetizers, every course was incorrectly brought. Fortunately, what was brought was good, however, not what was ordered."

"Since Pier One Restaurant was destroyed by Hurricane Sandy we decided to try Nautilus and to our surprise the service and Food were fantastically Fresh and well seasoned. I would have given it 5 stars if the Port wine I asked for was 20years or more. A little disappointed about the wine but I will definitely go back and order a different drink."

"Nautilus was recommended to us by a local chef (the four of us were visiting from Ohio). We each had a different seafood dish and tasted each others. All dishes were very good. I would highly recommend the Nautilus to anyone who wants a great seafood dinner in the Freeport, LI area."

"A really nice place to eat. Not fancy or elegant. Prime rib is best around, not the wedding or diner meat that passes for roast beef. Fish dishes fresh and interesting. Monday is a treat: 2 lb. lobster for $30. You'll never finish the mixed plate of fried onion rings and potatoes! Always, bring your own wine, no corkage fee though they do have adequate wine list. Wait staff particularly friendly. Desserts just okay. Overall a very satisfying dining experience."
