It is the philosophy of BarLola, where one can simultaneously drink, enjoy Spanish music, mingle, and eat ones way round a wonderful gastronomic spectrum. It is our goal to make sure that we only serve authentic dishes that are as close to the original presentation and taste as those you would find in different regions of Spain. We have a fantastic selection of wines, cavas, beers, and other signature cocktails to accompany your meal. We make every effort to ensure that the majority of our key ingredients are imported from Spain. Our kitchen team members come from Spain, descendants of Spain or of Latin ancestry to ensure authenticity and standards. ***NOTE: Every Sunday evening we have live Flamenco shows Sunday Night at 8pm. Please note that there is a $20 minimum per person (toward food and drink) for the show. It will be assumed that all reservations made 7pm and 8pm are for the show. If you will not be joining us for the show, please let us know*
"We went as a group of 7 after a graduation ceremony. They were very accommodating for our larger group, although it was empty inside because everyone wanted to sit outside. Food was delicious, and the service was good, even the drink selection was fun! Highly recommend"

"Very disappointed. Rude hostess, poor service, and only 1 out of 5 dishes (bacon wrapped dates) was any good (artichokes were way too salty, lamb chops were tasteless, scallops were deeply cheaply greasily fried, and the ravioli was clearly from a frozen bag and I could have boiled them myself better for 1/10th the price. Complained to the manager, mainly about how rudely we were greeted, and he was absolutely inequipped to diffuse the situation; seemed like a young kid out of his element in charge of customer satisfaction. 3rd time at Bar lola, and my last. Has the feel of a good restaurant gone downhill from lack of oversight. I'll bet the owner is absent or checked out."

"We ate a late dinner on a weeknight (a week after the Boston marathon bombing when the whole area was somewhat quiet) and it was just pretty empty. The waiter was charming and helpful and we had a great meal. The 'fresca' martini was AMAZING. We were just one of two groups eating there so ambiance was missing but like I said this was a reflection more of the timing with what had been going on rather than fault of Bar Lola. I'm sure it's fun and lively otherwise."

"We went for a birthday dinner. It was perfect for 6 of us, although the table was a bit small. Our waitress was amazing! We really enjoyed our dinner and will definitely be back."

"This was the rudest experience I've ever had since moving to Boston. The waitstaff was rude and inexperienced and when I complained to management, I was told it wasn't possible that the waiter was rude since the waiter was the manager's son. We were sitting there for 15 minutes before anyone even approached us and when I asked to get menus and order a drink, I was treated like we were an annoyance to them."

"Did a late Sat afternoon improptu family get together. The place was pretty empty at 4:30 when we arrived but the bar area steadily filled up while we were there and was pretty full when we left. The food was pretty good and it was appreciated that not everything was fried, like at a lot of tapas bars. Compared to Taberna del Harro, where I usually go, the ambiance was lacking. Taberna does a better job with serrano ham, but Lola is much more convenient if you're in Back Bay. Overall a pretty good place to have a quick glass of wine and a bite."

"Bar Lola is always a favorite of mine. The food is delicious, the ambience is great and the staff very friendly. The location is great as well. One of my favorite tapas was always the patatas bravas but I noticed that wasn't on the menu anymore. They should consider bringing that option back!"

"It was an expensive night out but worth it. All the tapas were delicious and the sangria was great. I went with a group of 10 on a weeknight and we basically had a private room to ourselves."

"I went here for dinner and drinks with a friend of mine and we had a great experience. We were not familiar with the process of tapas, so the waitress was very helpful in suggesting how much to order and which items were her favorites. We wanted to eat slowly and try a few things at a time while enjoying our cocktails, and the waitress was very accommodating about that. She did not rush us at all, nor did we get the feeling that we were "bothering her" by taking our time like we did. Overall: great food, excellent service."

"Drinks are great, and the bar is really fun. Tapas are hit or miss though - loved the lamb shank but the scallops were kind of rubbery. I'm sure I'll go back, but mostly for tequila not for food."
