"Took my wife here for her birthday, along with our two middle-schoolers, who wore their suits (and were better dressed than about half the people there). The steaks were great and the service was good, but this is not fine dining, in spite of our $280 bill. I knew we were in trouble when the waitress asked me if I wanted my martini straight up or on the rocks. No top-line dining establishment would even offer martinis on the rocks. The food presentation was too clever for its own good, and I could have prepared better sides at home. The ambience was OK, even if they seated me at a table where my view was of the staff going in and out of the kitchen. Overall it was OK, but this is a one-time shot for me and we'll not be going back."

"This was our first time to Morton's. The service was great. Our waitress was not only great, but she also was fun as she had a very good sense of humor. I had a 12 oz. filet. It was fantastic. I like beef done, with no pink and no overdone on the outside. This was absolutely superb. My wife had salmon. It was not good, had a very fishy taste and the smell was not pleasant. Another reason to order beef in a beef house and fish in a sea food restaurant. The rest of our meal was mediocre at best. Would I go back? Yes, I'd give it one more chance. I'd order another amazing filet, but try other items for appetizers, sides and desert. If everything except the steak struck out again, Morton's would go the trash heap."

"Our server was great, was very friendly and kept checking on us to make sure we didn't need anything. Food was great, had the Cajun prime rib and horseradish mashed potatoes. The roll that came with the food was great as well. The ambiance was good except that there was large party that was making entirely too much noise. Even after they left, the restaurant was a little loud. Not sure why, didn't seem like it was an acoustics issue."

"First, let me say the service was outstanding. Our steaks were over cooked and the Cajun shrimp dish came out cold. The sides were excellent. The wine list was excellent. My major complaint is that since Morton's was purchased by Landrys, they took away the table side presentation of the menu. I am sure this is a combination of some beancounter and some overpaid corp suit making a stupid decision over a few points. If takes away what made Morton different from the other steak houses. Now the only difference in Indy is it is in the basement. Not a good distinction. I will not be back."

"The food and service were exceptional, the atmosphere was...I've known golf courses with better dress codes and ambience.
The service is truly top notch. The entire staff is well versed in manners, menus, proper guest relations. The steaks were impeccably prepared...juicy, tender, seasoned just right! The salads fresh and crisp. The wine list is phenomenal. The deserts...decadent.
If you don't mind raising your voice above those around you to have a conversation, if you don't think that worn jeans, un-tucked polos, and work boots cheapen your experience, this is the place for you.
If you want a quiet, romantic meal...go elsewhere."

"We typically choose the filet mignon but decided to take a chance on the New York Strip. Each bite became more and more tasty. We didn't expect the steak to approach the excellence of the shrimp cocktail, but it did! The onion rings went well with the steak. To top it all off, the raspberry souffle was delectable. All in all, it was one of the better evenings at Mortons that we have ever had. Once they discovered that it was a birthday celebration, a personalized menu with my name typed on it was presented with a framed picture that they quickly took as we sat down. The personal touch was very much appreciated."

"Great experience from start to finish, the only thing that surprised me a little is that the GM or someone in a higher capacity didn't pass by the table at least once to make sure everything was fine. Our server was very good, attentive but not obtrusive. Best steak I have had in years. For the 2 of us we spent $205.00 including 2 cocktails plus tip and felt we very much got our money's worth. The next morning we went out for breakfast and paid $25.00.....but felt we were greatly overcharged !
We will return to Morton's again and we won't be waiting for our next anniversary !"

"Morton's is under new ownership and has changed it's menu, they no longer show the beef and seafood cuts which made them unique. The menu has expanded but the food is not the same, my wife & I had filets her's over done and salty mine was cooked correctly but was also salty. The service was OK but we were the only ones in the place this was on Sunday evening after the NCAA regional final."

"Been to 2 other Morton Steakhouses, San Juan and Detroit....both were better than this. The Steaks were way over seasoned here....Drinks were perfect and it is the wrong time of year for Asparagas...my fault for ordering it....wait staff and management were awesome and replaced my wife's steak and also gave us a free dessert. No reason to complain, I just know the standards that Morton's has and both of our steaks were much too seasoned."

"We've been to Morton's several times over the years and have always enjoyed the experience. This was our first visit to Morton's since the chain had been purchased. Overall, our visit was good. However, on this visit the service seemed to be very average and not exceptional, as we had come to expect whenever we have dined at Morton's. I was very disappointed to hear that they no longer do the table side menu presentation. While this may be a minor point, the menu presentation is a signature piece of the Morton's experience and is something that has always distinguished Morton's from other steakhouses. When we asked our server about why they no longer did the table side menu presentation and she said it was due to cost and new ownership."

"We ate there on a Sunday evening. They checked our coats in and then sat us at a nice corner booth. The waiter was very helpful and answered all our questions on the menu item that we needed more information on. The bar had a rye whiskey that my husband has never tried. The food was good and the key lime pie was good as well. The steak and the lamb were both cooked perfectly to medium rare. Overall the whole dining experience was excellent!"

"We had the best dinner ever! Started with bacon wrapped scallops that the waitress recommended. It was my birthday and it was so sweet to walk in and be given birthday wishes. Our menu said happy birthday on it and they took a picture and gave it to us to remember the event. Loved that personal touch. We then split a bleu cheese salad and the ribeye...also a recommendation from our waitress. The steak melted in our mouths. We will definitely come here again!"

"The food, drinks, and service were all top-notch! The Cajun Ribeye was one of the best steaks I have ever had. The sides are all large enough for two people to split, which is nice since they are a la carte. Very nice dining experience!!!"

"My experience was bad. The place is ridiculously overpriced and the service was not great. I ordered as an appetizer mozzarella wrapped on prosciutto. It was so overcooked that the prosciutto tasted like cardboard. My girlfriend's appetizer (shrimp cocktail) was good. Hr entree (filet mignon) was very rare (she wanted it medium). My entree (ribeye steak) was dreadful. It taste like it had been boiled an then grilled. At almost $50 I was not happy. By the way the fries had an amount of salt paralleling the ocean. And my water was only sporadically refilled.

"The staff was excellent and the food did not disappoint. It was a smaller dining area than I anticipated, with much of the place closed off for private parties, but had a comfortable ambiance. Appetizers (Cajun jumbo shrimp, crab cake) were excellent, but very small for the price. The wife and I both had the 12oz filet mignon, which ranked among the best we have had, and her lobster bisque soup was also very good and came with more than enough to share."

"My husband and I visied Morton's during the Devour Downtown winter-2013. We were not impressed. The hype had heard abou the place and our experience were not equal. The server was plesant, aware of my allegies and name, but her service was slow. We waited at east 15 minutes before she came to use between each course. I ordered the 6oz filet and my husband had the pork chop. Both were good, but not for the price. We have had better steaks and chops at other lesser priced places, but the thing that irritated us the most was when the sevicer asked my husband if he wanted botle water or tap water she neglected to tell him the bottle water costed $9.95. It was an under handed way to boost her tip and just plain wrong."

"We tried Morton's during Devour Downtown. My wife and I have both been to other Morton's locations some years back and can remember very good experiences. All I can say is that everything was just okay. The steak seemed at the level of a hotel banquet, same with the mashed potatoes side dish. Not sure, but perhaps they use lesser quality cuts for the devour downtown menu? It just did not seem to be of the taste and quality that Morton's is known for."

"We thought the food was over-priced and we felt like we were being rushed through our meal. The only reservations available was 5:30 and 8:30. We ordered from the Devour Indy menu, (even though my husband wanted to order from the regular menu but decided not to because of the price) but still paid over $200 for 2 meals. We would not recommend Morton's because of the price and the way that our waitress rushed us through our meal."
