"I chose Morton's as a dependable, quality place to eat before a concert, when I needed things to go well, and they did. The food and wine were excellent, our waiter was aware of our need to get to the concert but was never pushy. A great evening when you are willing to spend the money and want a great hunk of beef."

"We went to Morton's for our anniversary, and the meal matched the occasion. First, each staff member who greeted us said Happy Anniversary. Our waiter was attentive and efficient, and he made good recommendations. The food was outstanding. Steaks and seafood were perfectly cooked. We don't always eat dessert, but we ordered their chocolate chocolate cake and it was terrific.
It was an expensive meal, but it was excellent."

"I had heard from many people that the steaks at Morton's were superb -- 3 of the 4 people in our party had filet mignon and all said they were delicious. One person (who doesn't eat beef) had the stuffed shrimp and was underwhelmed. But ordering seafood at a steak house is always a risk, so expectations were pretty low.
Staff were all very accommodating and professional. Request for bread that was not onion loaf was first met with "Sorry. That's the only bread we have." After two more trips to the kitchen, however, the server offered us small dinner rolls--exactly what we wanted.
Restaurant was dark and gloomy, but that was also what we had heard about the place."

"I have visited at least 10 different Morton's locations multiple times since the early 1990's. Although the experience the other night was a wee bit different than I am used to for a Morton's experience, the four of us had a great Morton's experience none the less. Service was impeccable, the steaks were heavenly, and the rest of the meal was excellent as usual. The only negatives were really small nit-picking items which will be shared with the restaurant, but I feel the Morton's experience should be had be everyone at least once in their life."

"From the moment we walked in the door we were showered with a warm welcome and a "Happy Anniversary" from each member of the restaurant. From the server assistant to the manager they all made their way over to our table to wish us well. In addition to all of the well wishes the food was also exceptional. The suggestions were great and delivery was perfect. They understood the little things that makes it worth spending some extra money on a wonderful evening."

"Our server Matt was outstanding. The food was good but nothing to write home about. The teensy smear of sauce on my plate (billed extra for) could not have been more than a teaspoon. The petite filet was the size of a lime. And the parmesan truffle fries really tasted like plain fries. The cheesecake was pasty and lumpy. I really used to love this place, now we mostly go to Capital Grille because it's just not as good as it used to be - it's just convenient to the theaters."

"The food was outstanding; fresh and perfectly cooked to order. The service was equally impressive. Everyone understood what needed to be done, without any prompting. Morton's is a favorite because of the little things that they do. It was my nieces' graduation, which I commented when I made the reservation. When we arrived, everyone went out of their way to greet and congratulate her. The menu said: "Congratulations on your graduation" and then the hostess came over and took our picture. She took the liberty to make extra copies so she, her mom and my wife would have one."

"I have not dined at Morton's in years and was surprised to read the negative reviews regarding the service and food. All 4 of us were very happy with our dinners. Two had the steaks and they claimed that they were done to perfection. The service was excellent! Our waiter Andy made sure that we had everything we needed. "Have been dinning at Morton's Pittsburgh for the past 15 years. Although Mortons's is still very good, it has lost something since Landry's restaurants purchased Morton's. Change is good sometimes but not in this case. The steaks have defiantly changed, I suspect they changes vendors or are purchasing a slightly different grade of beef."

"We were very disappointed with our dinner at Morton's in Pittsburgh,Pa. We love our Morton's in King of Prussia, Pa. but the Pittsburgh Morton's did not measure up at all. We waited for quite awhile after we were seated to get a menu or even water on the table. They were very busy with two larger parties but the waiters kept rushing by us without even a comment that someone would be with us shortly. Finally, a waiter showed up at our table with a meager apology. The food was not great either. My filet had fat on it,which I have never encountered at our local Morton's. My husband's steak was over cooked. Our bill was $450 and it was wasted money."

"The table that I requested was great. The food was very good as always. The waiter however was average, not the excellent service that we have experienced at other Morton restaurants in different cities. This is a big part of the experience for me and it was disappointing. He actually provided us with a check five minutes after we received our souffle and coffee as if actually anxious for us to leave when, in fact, most of the restaurant was empty at 8 PM."

"Our waiter was great in getting dinner served to accommodate our theatre commitment. The steaks and accompanying seafood were well-prepared. The charge, $59.95, for the three-course dinner was $17.00 dollars higher than Ruth Criste's so I will make an alternative choice the next time we're in Pittsburgh."

"I marked this as quiet as we had a very late reservation - we weren't even sure they were open! However, this might have been the best time to come - quiet, romantic atmosphere and personal attention by Andrew, our excellent waiter. The food certainly didn't suffer from being near closing time either - everything was excellent!
I've dined in some of the best steakhouses in NYC and would certainly recommend Morton's Pittsburgh."

"While dinner was good, we had asked for them to call us a cab at the end of our dinner and before our dessert had arrived. We were told on 3 different occassions it was on the way. 40 minutes later and no cab (turns out they gave it to a couple of people who were in a large private party in their private dining room) they suggested we walk a block and a half to a hotel cab stand. Instead, we walked back to our hotel and caught a cab there for our evening destination.Disappointing and we will not be back there on either of our 2 trips next month."
