"We are regulars and LOVE it. The service could not be more accomodating, professional, or friendly. the food is always fabulous and the chef is very flexible about substitutions, it is obvious they want satisfied customers, they really care. It is so well managed and executed! Friday Italian buffet is really awesome and a great value. salads are fresh, entrees always good and the pasta bar chef is a pasta magician. I also highly recommend the whitefish. Actually, everything on the menu is awesome.. And so fun to sit in the bar and listen to the fabulous jazz trio. This may be one of the best kept secrets in River North. Thanks Maxwells!"

"This was our first time at Maxwell's and I am very happy with the experience; it was a belated Valentine dinner. We had reservations for 8pm, but were seated early. The server was very helpful with recommendations based on our questions. My girlfriend was unsure of what she'd like to drink and ordered a drink she wasn't happy with. The server made a recommendation and my girlfriend was thrilled with the resulting drink.
We ordered small plates to share; the braised veal with polenta was excellent as were the raw oysters. We also ordered the grilled oysters which were very good, but the accoutrement overpowered the oyster's flavor.
Highly recommended!"
