"This was my second time here at Morton's steakhouse, I was little nervous about the pricing but it turned out to be a great e experience. I was there with my family celebrating a special occasion and my kid had a blast. The service was amazing, we were welcomed, greeted and seated just like few important people. Overall I loved it so much I will go again and again not just to celebrate our special occasion but just to relax and enjoy."

"Mortons used to be one of my favorite steak houses. In fact, when I traveled I used to go to the Mortons in the city that I was in. About a year and a half ago, Mortons sold to a food chain by the name of Landries-don't quote me on the spelling. We noticed that our food wasn't quiet up to par back then. Every time that we have gone back the food has gotten worse.My filet mignom was acceptable, but not the quality that it used to be. It used to melt in your mouth. Now the steak is tougher. My husband ordered the special and it was inedible. He couldn't eat it. The bottom line is that Mortons is no longer the Mortons of the past. The quality is substandard and we won't be returning."

"We took my sister to Morton's in Great Neck for her birthday. our table was set up with a personalized menu wishing her Happy Birthday! the waiter (Rudy) provided exceptional service. He was professional yet not stuffy or stuck up. we shared some side dishes and the chef prepared the dishes on SEPARATE PLATES! the waiter fluffed the baked potato at our table for us and was very accomodating when it came to my children (3 & 9 years old). they took a complimentary picture of our group with their digital camera and printed copies for us on the spot! nice touch. our waiter offered to carry a vase of roses out for us and also requested our cars from valet so we wldnt have to wait. the steaks were perfect and desserts are made fresh to order!"

"We celebrate many occasions thorughout the year at Morton's and are never disappointed. This weekend we had a lovely anniversary dinner and left happy as usual. Our waiter Danny was awesome and made everything special for us. He has been there a long time and we had never met him before. Can't wait to return for another perfect evening. Surf and turf upgrade to ribeye steak was delicious."

"We received a $49 per person dinner opportunity to Morton's and 4 of us took advantage- first we ordered 2 glasses of wine- the glass contained just about 3 oz- and we told our waiter this was not 6oz (which he said was standard). Tried to get the manager and after 15 minutes the waiter just brought us another glass each. Ordered Ahi tuna tower for an appetizer and after 10 minutes waiter said they were out of the tuna. By then, frustrated, we got a manager over and he said not to worry we would get the tuna- it looked liked the tuna tower but there was just a hint of the actual tuna! The steak was good and the side dish good but scant- all in all an experience we won't repeat as we will NOT be back to Morton's"

"We went to celebrate a special birthday and were made to feel very welcome. I tried the Spring into Summer special which was very good. My husband stayed with the ala carte menu. Our table was a little close to the one next to it, would have liked a little more privacy, but the other diners were very nice. Service was very good and they took our photograph to give us a momento of our dinner."

"We had 7:45 pm reservations and we were seated quickly. After that it went downhill. it took nearly 1/2 hour to get water and it took nearly 1 hour and 15 minutes to receive our drinks. Salads came 20-30 minutes later and we finally received our meals roughly 30 more minutes after that. While the restaurant itself was pleasant it was NOT filled to capacity as empty tables were abundant. We complained multiple times and the general manager finally came over when we were ready to leave. Total time 3 hours. if not for the company the evening would have been a bust."

"Went with my husband & another couple. Enjoyed it but can get better for the price. Wine list did not have any reasonable priced bottles so you get suckered into spending $100 for a bottle. I ordered the red velvet drink ($15) but i did enjoy it. For dinner I had the $59 special-petite filet w/shrimp & creamed spinach-it was great. My chopped spinach salad however was flavorless. My creme brulee was very good. The 2 men ordered the $59 specials as well & upgraded to strip steaks. The waitress said it would be a little charge for the upgrade. When the bill came they charged $33 more for each strip-RIDICULOUS. My husbands steak was too well done and he asked for med rare. Good but will not return. Much prefer Capital Grille or Lugars."

"We went to celebrate Mother's Day. We have used Morton's to celebrate major occasions. Unfortunately, things did not work out as planned. We ordered cocktails and wine. The cocktails arrived 10 minutes before the wine. When the wine did arrive it came with an explanation that the wine we ordered was not available - even though it was featured on the menu. I was then belatedly offered a substitute by the sommelier that was not a substitute in any sense of the word. When I ordered a substitute bottle of wine, again from the menu, the wine was not available in the vintage we requested. This is not the way that this stature of restaurant should operate. Then we were told that the soufflés featured in the Mother's Day menu were not available."

"Went to Morton's to celebrate a birthday. It was my first visit. The place was relatively empty but we had a table of 6 and placed under an extremely bright halogen light. I felt like I was in the spotlight. Food was just average. I've head much better steaks elsewhere. Two of the steaks were cooked incorrect but not sent back. They brought out an extra dessert with a candle for the birthday person but did not sing. However, a few minutes later brought out a dessert and sang to another table. Manager took a picture for our table and gave us a few copies, which was a nice touch. Overall, food is uninspiring and overpriced. My best dish was the spinach salad that was supposed to served with a warm dressing, which was not warm."

My girlfriend had the same steak with mac and cheese, the crabcake, and the chocolate cake. Everything was tasty and the portions were large."

"Steak was very delicious! Waitress was very sweet.
However, I was surprised when no one came by to offer fresh pepper with salad, or replace silverware when main meal arrived. Our table was front & center, so we were hard to forget.
I had indicated it was a birthday & would have thought we would have been offered a booth. However, they personalized menu for occasion, which was a nice detail. No Happy Birthday sung with dessert. Room was too dark. We needed a flashlight from phone to read the menu. The recommended wine was very expensive, but unimpressive. The whole experience didn't feel as special as in past visits."

"From the time we entered the door we were greeted by the manager A+ and handed our personal printed menu with well wishes "happy anniversary"AA+. Our waitress Janine was very knowledgeableable and friendly A+. We had 2 baked platter which consists of a giant shrimp, giant scallop, crabcake and oyster delicious but pricey 23 per person. We had the fillet mingion and porterhouse it was cooked well done not burnt but just right, moist and tender.My only complaint is that it was a little salty for my palate compared to RC A-. Sugar snapped peas, mac&cheese and hot chocolate cake was good B+.We were surprised with a Lemmon souffle with a candle and they took pictures and we were mortonized :) AAAAA+.My first visit memorable happy wife priceless."

"Dined here with my dad and brothers. As usual, very warm greeting by the very professional staff. Mortons has a great, classic decor and is not too dark. Food was excellent. I ordered the Bibb lettuce salad, which was very nicely done with pears, toasted walnuts and a vinaigrette dressing. I had the Chicago-style bone-in ribeye, which was totally delectable and perfectly cooked. The enormous baked potato side was also prepared perfectly - and they offer generous toppings (sour cream, butter, bacon bits, etc.) that they put on after the server mashes the potato. Our server was great - very friendly and attentive. Other staff helped her out, so you have the feeling that they care about us. Will go back again."

"Awful experience recently, where management did absolutely nothing about an unruly and disruptive large table of adults and children, much to the chagrin of all of the other diners. To compound this negative experience, 3 out of 3 steaks were all cooked improperly and had to be returned to the kitchen, which at $57 per steak without sides, was outrageous. The manager grudgingly offered some accommodation at our insistence, but was intent on turning this into a negotiation. Extremely disappointing."

"the staff was terrific, wine list interesting, but the food hit or miss. normally, we never send anything back, but, in one meal, we had a very sour shrimp and very soggy salad. the general manager was extremely accommodating and took them off our bill. nonetheless, we were underwhelmed overall."

"Very average; Morton's rests way too much on its reputation. It is not a superior or special dining experience, just average in every way EXCEPT its prices which are exceptional. Food was alternately cold or overcooked, shrimped tasted like rubber and bathed in a tasteless sauce. "Medium" $57 porterhouse was blood rare; salad dressing was sparse and tasteless. Do not plan on returning."

"Very disappointing experience. The 24 oz steak for $57.00 was definitely not 24 oz and not worth the price. The lobster bisque soup was like eating sticks of melted butter. We had to send it back. The $12.00 baked potato was overcooked and dry. The service/waiter was very good but I will not be going back because the ambience and inferior quality of food is just simply not worth it."
