Novita is a vibrant 60-seat trattoria serving a seasonally inspired, modern Italian menu.
Chef owner Marco Fregonese’s innovative take on classical, regional cooking begins with the finest, artisan ingredients and freshest, seasonal products. His distinctive light and flavorful dishes are pure and satisfying and perfectly complemented by a select list of wines from superb Italian specialty and boutique growers.

"we were greeted in a friendly manner and told our table would be "a few minutes" the maitre d' went to check on the availability of the table he marked on his computer. after 10 minutes it became obvious that the table he earmarked for us was not about to become vacant. He then led us to a table for four that had been available since we arrived. The service was attentive. an ordered bottle of wine appeared quickly. A special request for breadsticks, which were absent from the bread basket, were found and presented, a pleasant surprise. The mixed green salad with tomatoes was crisp and fresh. we ordered the peppered tuna which came with a lemon sauce and asparagus rare which was prepared perfectly,"

"I live in the neighborhood and have always wanted to try Novita. I'm so glad I did! My boyfriend and I were seated immediately for our 6:00 reservation by a friendly host. The decor was formal, yet intimate and welcoming. The service was great. We were just grabbing a bite before meeting friends and only ordered pasta. It was was home made and delicious and our waiter steered us toward a nice, but reasonably priced wine. It was a great experience overall and I highly recommend Novita!"

"The dishes we tried were a mixed bag. The pasta dishes were very good, but one of our appetizers, funghi ripieni came stuffed with rubbery, overcooked shrimp. Wine by the glass was on the menu and we were happy we tried the very decent house red. We very much liked the mille foglie. Perhaps it was just plain luck - or the lack of it - that we got this waiter who was acted as if he were doing us a favor by attending to the 2 of us, and the only smile we saw on his face was when he saw how much of a tip we left for them. The restaurant could use better ventilation as it started to get too warm a few minutes after we sat down."
