"It was the most expensive below average food and the service was miserable....forgotten orders, hot dishes served cold to the touch, took forever to get the food, with every course the food did not come out together and so ppl who were served had to stare at their food for up to 10 mins while waiting for other appetizers or entrees to be served. Really bad. Please save your money or spend less at a better restaurant."

"Dined with a party of 5 for an early Father's Day celebration and for the first time after numerous visits we were very disappointed. We are Landry's card members and frequent this location more than any others since we live local. From the moment we were seated I new there was a problem. The waiter was rushing us to order drinks before we even sat down. 5 minutes later he came back to take our order. our drinks had not even arrived. My son ordered the 12 ounce filet minion medium, it had to be sent back twice to be cooked. The last time it came back black, a charred 50.00 steak brought out by the manager. Are you kidding me. Very disappointed, will probably not return. Sad though since this was one of our favorites."

"We love coming to Morton's and the remodeled the whole place and it looks beautiful. The only reason I didn't give my review 5 stars is because the steak was not cooked correct. It was medium instead of medium well, but it wasn't that big of a deal and the rest of our food was delicious and the service was great!"

"There was great commotion at the desk when we came in about how busy they were and a party coming in without a reservation was told there would be a half hour wait. The restaurant was never more than half filled the whole time we were there from about 7:30 till 9:00. The service was outstanding. The food was very good as it should have been for the price, but the meat was not of the quality you would expect from a top notch steakhouse. The restaurant had an old fashioned feel to it which is I am sure was the intent but somehow came off feeling like a place that had seen better days. To get to the restaurant you had to go up a couple of flight of stairs that felt like you were an old commercial building."

"Delicious as always, but this was our first time here since the redecorating. What a disaster! It used to look like an old school speakeasy-type private club steakhouse. Now it looks like a late 80s/early 90s diner or cafeteria in south Florida. Did they buy the carpeting second-hand? I suppose that since the food quality wasn't affected, it probably won't affect our frequenting the restaurant, but jeez, what a turn-off."

"We have been going to Morton's for special events and great dinners for years now. Every time, we have received great steaks cooked perfectly. I mean what would a steak house be if they couldn't cook a steak. They have recently expanded their menu to include more desired side dishes as well.
The lighting is a little dark, but other then that a great experience every time."

"We held a business dinner at Morton's. We were pleased with the service and the selection and quality of the food.
Bar was a bit drab and the decor is strange.
Overall, the establishment seems to be well managed in the kitchen and on the floor. We would recommend the restaurant to friends and associates."

"Having visited several Morton's in the past this location did not disappoint when it came to the quality of the food and the service received. Where the experience was different was the general atmosphere. At other locations (Miami, St. Louis, etc.) there has always been a very formal and special feeling to dining there. This location is located in a mall. There is a separate entrance, and the mall is what I would consider a high end mall, however wearing a sport jacket to dine there I felt overdressed. Most diners were dressed very casually, some even in jeans. I know that the current trend in a lot of restaurants is more casual these days, but the casual feel negatively effected the atmosphere at this location."

"We were overwhelmed by flash photography going on around us!!! The prices have really increased - this was the most expensive dinner for 3 we have had in a very long time!!! The restaurant has been completely done over and looks great - not so sure how it will be if the now open space of the bar is full! "From the moment I and my partner stepped off the elevator, we were impressed. The dimmed lights and non-noisey setting was perfect. We stood a while before anyone noticed we had entered but once the Gentleman Host arrive he was more than warm in his greeting and took care of us. The Server was extremely polite and very helpful in assisting us with our choices. She was just so wonderful and even took two photos for us. There is no way we could hold back on the tip. This was a great experience and I would gladly and quickly recommend this restaurant to friends and colleagues. Two thumbs up!!!!"

"Not as good as our previous experiences. We've been going to Morton's here and there over the years but our most recent dinner definitely did not meet our expectations. (Especially compared to the prices.) We had the oysters, jumbo strip, porter house for two, hash browns and spinach. It was OK but not worth the price. Not sure if the staff changed as well but there was something that was "off " about the whole night. Personally not crazy about the new decor either, liked the previous warm steak house feel better. Might go back and try the lunch but would rather go somewhere else for the perfect steak."

it is a treat for me to have an aged prime porterhouse in an eating establishment as i am unable to recreate that quality and charred finish at home. i have eaten at this mortons several times, usually once a year. the tenderloin section tasted like it had been seasoned with some sort of dry spice mix (like "lowry's"). it tasted differently than past steaks and i was dissapointed.

"We ocassionally go there for their $59/person special which includes salad, shrimp or scallops, filet, 2 shared sides and dessert. We noticed on this visit that they now limit you to one of 3 salads (in the past you had your choice of any of them, and earlier...any appetizer as well). The 3 shrimps in the Shrimp Alexander are now far smaller that on our last visit (in the past they were called "Colossal" now they are listed as "Jumbo") and the we swear that the "6 ounce filet" we each received was much smaller than the 6 ounce filet of the past. Add to this that a small bottle of italian soda water was $7.75 and the tiny, marginally tasteful Bloody Mary with house vodka was $14.50. That will be our last visit to Morton's."

"Good, but not fully up to expectations for Morton's. Our server's accent was so thick, it was difficult to understand many of the specials (despite repetition on request). He also would/could not identify the type of tuna in one of the specials (good luck if you're a consumer of sustainable seafood). Steak was good as always, and creamed spinach can't be beat."

"My husband and I have been to this Morton's before and sat at the bar. We really enjoyed our dining/social experience, so when we showed up early for our reservation, we were happy to sit at the bar and eventually decided to eat there instead of being seated in the dining room. Their food exceeded our expectations. We started with a dozen oysters from Cape Cod - a selection the bartender recommended - and they were great. Then, I had the tuna tacos and my husband had filet mignon sliders - both fabulous. There are plenty of good wines by the glass and they also offer a barrel-aged Manhattan, an exclusive of this restaurant's. Their staff was friendly and engaging as were the other patrons at the bar. Festive scene."

"My wife and I found Morton's of Hackensack to provide better service than Morton's in NY's midtown. The steaks and sides were perfect, and the staff knew just when to come to our table. Everything was fantastic. No need to travel to NY when the best Morton's is here in NJ."

"I used to eat frequently at Mortons. As of lately, we have been dining at Capital Grille. We decided to go to Mortons since it has been a while and were extremely disapointed. I ordered the duo dinner of filet mignon and chicken christopher. While my steak was tasty due to the glaze I chose, it was EXTREMELY small. Maybe 5 bites. THe chicken was so dry and overcooked I didnt eat it. My husband ordered a duo of scallops and steak. Both was terrible he sent it back. The creamed corn was not good either. The only good thing was the bread, soup, salad, and mac & cheese.
Our bill still came out to $140 plus tip.

"The setting was very nice. Cost of food was over priced. The NY Strip was over cooked. My stuff shrimp was ok. The crab meat stuffing was not stuffing. It was crab meat with bread crumbs sprinkled: on top. The best part of the meal was the ceaser salads. A very good experience for my husband and I. But I will not go back."

"One of the better steak houses conveniently located in the Shops at Riverside Mall in Hackensack. Food was dependably good--we have eaten here before--with a nice selection of the usual offerings of a good quality and nice portion size. There is enough on the menu that is an alternative to red meat to feel like a reasonable choice for non red-meat eaters. I had the crab cake as my entree--appetizer sized portion which there was no fuss about--and it was very good. It wasn't so noisy you couldn't talk, always a big plus and the wait staff was very attentive and obliging and quick to arrive. It is not inexpensive but worth it for a treat and a romantic night out."
