"We had a superb evening with great service and wonderful food. We both went for the sirloin steak which was so tender it melted in your mouth. For desert we indulged in the chocolate pudding. The wine list is extensive with many international choices.
The décor is elegant to match the high standard of service"

"We had a very disappointing experience at Morton's in Midtown. It started with being given a really bad table that put our back to the bar and my left side on what was essentially the West Side Highway. I had a server skimming my left side every couple of minutes. Fortunately, I eat with my right hand or food would have been all over my lap. The bar was so noisy it was hard to carry on a conversation and the noise permeated the entire dining room. Service was slow and pretentious. The food quality was not close to our expectations. They advertise "The best steak anywhere" but the steak lacked flavor and the scallops were dry and overcooked. The only exception was a fabulous desert soufflé. We will not go back even for the soufflé."

"From the moment you walk into the Resturant ,the staff was very friendly but professional. We were seated promptly at our table and were given the menus and wine list. The wait staff gave us enough time to decide what drinks we wanted and answered questions that we had about the menu. The food was hot and delicious. We had a wonderful time."

"This was by far the most enjoyable dining experience I've ever had! The
Server was very informative on the menu items and spot on when reccomending
a dish! It was mine and my wife's 5 year anniversary and that came with a
Personalized anniversary menu, a picture they placed in a folio for us and
A free desert of out choice with was delectable! I cannot wait to visit this restar-
aunt again hopefully when they open their one world trade location!"

"The whole experience from start to finish was terrific! We were greeted with a warm welcome at the door and escorted to a booth near the kitchen. It was exciting to sit where all the action was. Our server Dan was great, always there exactly when we needed something, never letting our drinks run low, and very friendly. The tuna tower was the best I've had at any Morton's, the flavors were bright and fresh, spot on. Our steaks were cooked perfectly and melted in our mouthes. The manager, Henry, stopped by several times to ensure we were enjoying our dinner, a nice touch. In a day and age where good customer service is an afterthought in so many restaurants, Morton's has restored my faith that the art of fine dining still exists."

"The ambience food and waiter were very good. However, after ordering my food did not come for a long while. Upon inquiring, I was told my order did not go into the system and only after waiting a half hour and then inquiring, was my order started. I waited just one hour and ten minutes before my main course arrived. I was offered a free drink which was kind but it did not meet my expectations from a restaurant like Mortons. It was a special evening for my wife and me, and this put a real damper on the night for us."

"We were given a table next to the bar area and along side the staff entry to the behind the bar serving area. This was extremely noisy and busy. The food was good, the service reasonable but the ambience was poor. We asked to be moved but the waiter couldn't find another table. We have visited Morton's before, but after this experience I don't think we will be visiting the restaurant again."

"Have gone to Morton's in CA and FL. First time in NYC. Food quality was fair. Filet had gristle and only half of it was good enough to eat. Lobster tail had a very fishy taste to it - not that sweet meat taste. Chopped spinach salad had very little dressing. The best part was the dessert! Disappointed!"

"Wife had great time at Morton's on her birthday. The staff all wished her a happy birthday, the menu had her name and happy birthday printed on it - she brought it home - and the waiter took our picture and gave us a birthday card with the picture in it. Great steak and fine wine. We loved it.

"My daughter and I booked a late lunch reservation at Morton's for Mother's Day. We were seated promptly when we arrived, the wait staff was very attentive and the food was great. My daughter asked one of the waiters a question that their teacher had assigned them on Friday (she's in sixth grade) and the waiter gave his answer then later returned with a printout of the answer after he had googled it. The steaks were the best we've had so far and the wine selection was expansive. We are on a year long quest to eat at every steakhouse in Manhattan and Morton's is our fifth but now ranked number 1 in our database. I would highly recommend it."

"I was very sad when the location on Adam's Street was closed but I was happy that the one on 5th avenue was still open. It's a classy restaurant and everyting in there is perfect. "We had a delicious experience at Morton's for a Mothers Day celebration. The food was as usual very good. The waiters were very attentive without being obtrusive. The menu choices were varied and the portions generous. Although a bit pricy, it is a reliable restaurant for an above average dining experience. They treated each table to a photo as a special rememberance of the day. Nice touch."

"Enjoyed terrific steak in a very relaxing atmosphere. A large array of choices for beer and wine made it difficult to choose but with the server's help both my daughter and I were quite happy with his recommendations. His recommendation to try the Chimay beer did not disappoint. Also great sides to share as well as some interesting appetizer choices. Highly recommend. Pricey but worth it."

"Every trip to NYC, we try a new steak house. This time was Morton's in Midtown Manhattan. Very impressive decor; prompt, friendly and knowledgeable servers; and fabulous food. The wine list is impressive, if a bit pricey. A wide array of interesting (and excellent) salads. The sirloin and filet mignon were cooked perfectly. Fabulous desserts - the key lime pie is superb. The bar area was a bit noisy at first, but quieted down by 8:30 or so. We'd go back in a heartbeat. A fairly expensive dinner, but well worth it."

"From the moment we arrived to the moment we left the experience was fantastic - Both the food and the Staff were excellent, I booked the table as a wedding anniversary night out and the restaurant went to great lengths to make sure it was a really special night. "We are a couple of french tourists and we knew Morton's in Chicago from a private travel over there some years ago. As we were spending a week in NYC we would like to experience again the Morton's moment.
In brief : for us Morton's is definitely one of the best steakhouse we know northern America and Western Europe combined!
Superb meat prepared "dans les règles de l'art".
Very good wine (It's a French expert who says it!)
Excellent service, all the same discreet AND present when needed.
Chic ambience.
Nothing to blame, nothing to regret!"

"While visiting NYC we ate lunch one time and dinner one time. At lunch we ordered the mixed grill. My wife received a very good steak and I was served a not so good steak. I declined to mention how bad it was until the end. The floor manager asked if everything was okay as soon as we received the meal. I did not have time to tell how bad it was at that time. He was very apologetic when I did mention it was not up to their standards. We were given a free coffees. For dinner we had a guest with us. The service was not very good. The fillet my wife had was not very good. Our guest and my wife's was under cooked. This just was not the best experience for us."

"I came here with a group of 6 last week for my birthday. I don't think I've ever had a better birthday! The food is fantastic, everything was cooked perfectly. The wine was great, and they have an extensive wine list. The service was great, great vibe all around and you really felt like royalty.

This place is perfect for groups, birthdays, etc. And their bar was great too! A perfectly memorable night was had by all - I would totally go back again!"

"Read a lot about Morton's before going there so in all fairness I had pretty high expectations.
Overall it didn't live up to its reputation, the meat was very good quality but we couldn't find any difference
between the 8 oz and 6 oz steak although they assured us it was correct. Also there was pretty much
no difference in medium and medium rare. The sides were tasty but cold and the food in general could
have been warmer.
We wouldn't go back there, especially with their kind of prices in comparison to the quality of the food"

"We absolutely loved our dining experience here. I was celebrating my 70th birthday and the folks at Morton's went out of their way to make it and event to remember. I can't thank them enough. We were a party of two and they gave me one of the best tables with lots of room and the service was outstanding. I can not tell you the number of times I was asked if everything was going OK. I felt appreciated. The food while expensive was well worth the enjoyment we received for this event. Next time I'm in New York I plan to return."

"We are never disappointed @ Morton's Midtown. The staff are excellent, the food is great. We ate early on a Friday night, so it was nice and quiet. It's our daughter's favourite place to go when in the city!"
