We invite you to try Hakata Tonton’s Authentic Kyushu Japanese Soul Food. We have a number of dishes which may same strange to the eye, but are delicious renditions of the food made famous in Hakata, Japan. Pork, Collagen, and Cod Roe are all specialties of the region and you can enjoy them in various combinations on our Japanese fusion style menu. Our food is made to share and does not come in any particular order, as is the tradition in Hakata. We invite you to be adventurous and try a number of small plate items so that you get a feeling for our savory cuisine. We have chosen a number of unique wines and Japanese sake we feel goes well with our savory cuisine and invite you to try a glass or a bottle. We have priced our wines by the bottle way below what most restaurants charge, so you can enjoy without hurting your wallet. Finally, we invite you to try our collagen cuisine. It’s great for your skin and most importantly, we think you will love our presentation and taste.
"Not your average Japanese, so if you're looking for standard Japanese fare, this is not the place! The menu revolves around the southern island of Kyushu. There's a heavy leaning towards pork there, and especially trotters. However, the menu is varied and delicious. Even their take on Sashimi is amazing with the marinates it comes in. If you like foie gras, the inari with it and the sauce drizzled on top is amazing.
And make sure you don't leave too hastily, as the staff need to give you a good-bye treat."

"Hakatak Tonton is my favorite restaurant in the neighborhood. Everything is yummy and it's reasonably priced. I fear writing too many good things about it because I already have trouble getting a reservation! The Ebimayo is a consistant crowd pleaser. The waitstaff are all great. They go above and beyond to make a great dining experience."

"I went to Hakata Tonton last month with my friend. We had been craving for the hot pot! Food was so tasty and delicious! I dont know what they use for the amazing sauce but it was sooo good! After we ate all ingredients in the soup, we ordered two noodles. We expected something fresh noodle they made, but it was premade dried noodle. One the noodle part disappointed me because it was very pricey for the instant noodle! Other than that, the hot pot was very good and definitely I want to go back!!!"
