"This was my first time to dine at Avanti. I was very pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to get a reservation for a table near the entertainment. My visit was more for meeting the jazz guitarist Maurice Johnson, but turned out the food and service was very good. I had lasagna and caesar salad. Both of these were delicious, and presentation of the entree was beautiful. The hot food arrived hot and the cold food arrived cold, and I enjoyed a nice visit with my date. Our table had a very good view of the beautiful bar area, and we enjoyed a bit of an impromptu show put on by a woman at the bar who appeared to have imbibed too much. We hoped she was okay, but she was not an unpleasant distraction - more of an amusement. The music was great."

"While not a buffet lover, Avanti has it down to a science. Reservations make the provervial line tolerable. The choices aren't "endless", yet varied, and the quality is excellent. What's important is the warm is "warm" and the chilled is "chilled". Their ratio of servers to tables is spot-on! Having three different stations for main courses, desserts and the Bloody Mary Bar for garnishes makes the flow of patrons less crowded in a limited space. Whether you want a Breakfast or Lunch meal - Avanti gives you that choice. Wonderful Mother's Day and other special occasion Brunch - Avanti is our choice. (aside note: the coffee is excellent)"

"We have been here five times; the first three times the food and service was awesome. However, the last two times both the service and food was not what we had anticipated. Requested a quiet place as my uncle is hard of hearing and had to ask to turn the music down. We were all freezing with the AC blowing down on us and the food. Requested the AC be adjusted, also. The waitress was extremely accommodating; however, slow with serving bread and water. When entertaining or just a quiet evening, I wouldn't recommend Avanti's. Loved it 3 out of 5 times. But won't go again."

"This is a very nice resturant to take a guest to or to share with a special person! The decor is attractive and the food quality is very good. They have a lovely separte bar area visible from the dining room and a room that can be curtained off for a party wishing a degree of privacy. They often have alive music and for pleasant weather they have an outdoor patio. Do yourself a favor and try this inique dining spot just South of Quail mall!"

"We experienced Avanti for the first time last Friday night. Our reservation through open table was super easy. When we arrived, the atmosphere was very pleasant, the staff was ready to greet us. The tables with lit candles were lovely as were the decorations. The food was fabulous and the "flirtini" was delicious! The prices were surprisingly affordable. The absolute only complaint is the waitress brought my husband's beer in a bottle; not a glass. Considering how beautiful everything else was, that seemed rather crass to us. The guitar player was excellent, his choices were on par, and the volume was perfect. All in all, we would recommend this restaurant for a nice evening out."

"My wife and I went for Valnetine's day and they had a set menu consisting of Caribbean food. It was fun and I thought the food was very good and well presented. I cannot comment on a normal occasion. They had a band playing Caribbean music and we enjoyed that a lot."

"Found out about this place from opentable but had driven by this place many times without a second glance. This place was AMAZING! My wife and I both had a meat dish and you could litterally cut with a butterknie. The price for this food is also very very reasonable. We have went other places through the years to celebrate Valentines day and have spent upwards of $200, but this place comes in at a fraction of that! I will be returning and actually cant wait to!"
