"This was by far the best experience I have had with Bridges. Starting with OpenTables reservation (very easy), Service from the Valet - the Service attendant...They are were all friendly and very accommodating to our request. Our Waitress gave us the special of the night for our party of Six and It was very good..The Sturgeon tasted exactly as how she described the dish."

"I had mentioned it was my sisters birthday and nothing was said about that. I kind of wanted it at least to be acknowledged. Also, the waiter was very nice and attentive, but after discussing our appetizer, he completely forgot to bring it."

"The food at Bridges (we have been there a number of times) is good, but I would not categorize it as a "Foodie Fit". This last time we ate there the bar service was slow (we had ordered a bottle of champagne)....it came after we had received our appetizers. Other than that, the service was good and friendly. In the Danville area, it still is one of the better restaurants around. The following night we ate at Absinthe in SF which certainly is a leg up on Bridges.... at about the same price range."

"My than girlfriend and I was introduced to this gem after a friend invited us out on a afternoon. The food is very good, that wait staff very good and the atmosphere whether indoors or out is relaxing and comfortable.
I was so impressed I made a reservation and asked my long time girlfriend to marry me after a wonderful dinner."

"Bridges is out go-to restaurant for special occasions, a relaxing weekend brunch, or just about any chance we get. This last time we went was for our daughter's 10th birthday brunch with grandparents. "Booked a large table for Mother's Day. I'd had good experiences for brunch. I was very disappointed on many levels. First, the fixed, 3 course menu was very limited and rigid, and prices were quite high. After we ordered, the waiter came back almost immediately to say they were out of brownie sundaes (which half of the table had ordered). The caeser salads were only ok, the avocado soup was not good, no taste at all. On the other hand, folks liked the gem salad. The main courses were generally good, which was lucky since they cost so much ($50 for the 2 course with the halibut--very high). The waiter came back and said now the sorbet, which folks had substituted for the now disappeared brownie sundaes) had been changed. Disapointed."

"We went for our anniversary and I would love to tag this restaurant at romantic BUT, there were kids running around the patio and climbing all over the fountain we were seated next to. The kids were not being bad, but it was a little distracting to have the kids running around our table all night. Their parents sat in blissful peace at the far end of the restaurant enjoying an extended dinner while the kids ran around. This seems to be more a problem with the town of Danville than with Bridges in particular, however it could have been dealt with quietly by someone on staff and it would have changed our experience completely."

"I have been here 3 times in 2 months after a long absence. Based on my last 3 meals Bridges can stand up to any Restaurant in the Bay Area. I loved Bridges years ago but had a few hit and miss meals in the last decade so stopped going. A coupon got me to try it again and I am so glad. I have had the veal, swordfish and an ahi like dish called Tombo I think. All were excellent, including the appetizer of Brie, salad and dessert. Welcome back Bridges, we missed you!"

"I come here for lunch frequently but it's been years since I've had dinner here.The food was disappointing. Portiins were small and pricey. Dinner prices seem to doubled that of lunch prices.We had oysters, phyllo wrapped brie, pizzetta and Caesar salad for appetizers..they were just so-so. For yhe entree, I had the swordfish, which did not seem fresh. Others had the steak and lamb shank. The lamb was good and the steak was okay but the portion was very small. Our waitress was very attentive without being obtrusive. I would recommend Bridges for lunch but not dinner."

"Our expectations were great as reviews were off the chart and of course Mrs. Doubtfire seemed to enjoy the Bridges. The wine list had Gamba, big plus. The fried oysters, worst ever and 3 for the price we paid, bad value. The scallops were perfect but my swordfish was slightly overcooked. We felt for the price this was a big letdown. They are sending out 2 for 1 coupons now. Not sure the Bridges knows what it wants to be."

"I haven't dined here in years due to some soso meals over the last few years but I am thrilled to say Bridges is back! My friend and I had a fabulous meal from start to finish. I started with a beet salad with the swordfish as my entre. Everything was perfect. My friend had the veal and said it was the best she ever tasted. The service was spot on. "Our main courses were both very good; in particular, my Lamb Shank was one of the best I've ever had, and my wife said her pork chop was excellent. My dessert-- butterscotch pudding -- was poor; so little flavor that I don't think I could have told what it was if I'd been given it in a blindfolded test, and the texture was rather gritty rather than creamy.

"Beautiful restaurant with a lovely decor. Meal was creative and delicious. The presentation was excellent. Waitperson was terrific, helpful, and with a wonderful attitude. The bar had one bartender needed help as it took a long time to receive drinks.
Friday night noise level was abit loud so I cannot say it was romantic. The biggest disappointment was dessert. Coconut ice cream lacked the promised flavor & tasted like frozen iced milk. The pudding dessert lacked flavor & heaped with an overbearing amount of frozen cool-whip like topping. While cute the oreo type cookies lacked flavor and the center filling was tastless.
I would go back again and encourage friends but would pass on desserts."

"This was my first time at Bridges, and I had been wanting to go for YEARS! I took a few business associates here on a Monday night and it was just perfect! The service was excellent, the setting is roomy (I hate those SF places that pack you in so tight - practically sharing your table with strangers!) and the food was very good. So if Coi, Gary Danko, and Masa' are 5 star - which they are - Bridges is a less expensive, comfortable 4 start that gets the job done nicely!"

"We were a group of five, 25-59yrs old. Two of us had been to Bridges quite some time ago, and remembered that we enjoyed our experience. Our waiter was was very friendly and helpful. He recommended two dishes that we enjoyed. We eat out quite a bit and like food with bold flavors. Two of us had the veal, one pork chop, one swordfish and one ahi tuna over black rice. The restaurant has a charming little patio area which I imagine is nice during warm months. We all enjoyed our meals/service and definitely plan on going back."
