"My wife and I recently had the pleasure to have a meal at Sorrentino's. The service was polite, curteous and knowledgable of the wines and dishes that were available. Our food was prepared and served promptly. Extremely flavourful without being overpowering, a wonderful medly of texture, taste and auroma. We recently ate at the Crappre (also downtown) and in the past we have enjoyed the imtimate atmosphere and classic food but comparing the two I would pick Sorrentino's everytime."

"I had the fusilli pasta, supposed to have ricotta in it but I think it was goat cheese. Either way was way to over powering. Would have been better with Romano or asiago or something like that, and maybe a bit of white wine!
Garlic toast was just thick bread toasted, bread with olive oil/balsamic vinegar or jusy butter. Bruschetta was ok but you could make better at home. Mojito wasn't well balanced.
Would've liked more choice for pasta as I really enjoy pasta."

"Everytime I go to Sorrentino's Downtown the food and service is fantastic and this weekend was no exception. The restaurant was very busy (with at least 3 big groups that I could see) and Manager Christine Scheetz and her team provided flawless service. My husband and I each had an antipasti course (beef carpaccio and the garlic tastings plate with bruchetta, calamari and prawns) and it was very good. For dinner my husband had the ravioli on the garlic menu and said it was the best pasta he has ever had. I had the Spagetti carbonara from the regular menu and loved it. I swear it is the best spagetti carbonara in the city. I would highly recommend trying out Sorrentino's Downtown if you have the chance."

"Although the menu looked fabulous and the service was great my meal very disappointing. As far as an Italian dining experience the word mediocre comes to mind.
I really expected more especially since Sorrentinos has been around for so long.
That aside, I am a self confessed food snob so maybe my review is too harsh. My friend enjoyed her pasta and ate more then usual which says a lot!
Neither of us found the apple dessert very good. We both love apple desserts and so ithat was a real let down. Much as I love apple with cheese the particular cheese pairing did not enhance the dining experience."
