"Went to Vintage for the first time ever, for Mother's Day brunch. What a delightful surprise, and how have we lived here 10 years and not known about it? Best steak ever, and I mean better than Flemings or Ruth's Chris! Can't wait to go back. Decor was awesome as well, and wait staff service was impeccable. Thanks for pleasing us and my mother!"

"Our first time there, very nice. Fun to dine in an old Sante Fe train car. Filet Mignon was prepared perfectly, prawns were delicious.
Roasted tomato and goat cheese atmosphere was a little too "smoky flavored" for our taste.
Cocktails were done very well. We managed to find something for our 12 year old daughter, but menu is not kid friendly."

"While traveling, we will go out of our way to visit trains on display whether they are in a city park, museum, or on a siding. Therefore, it is a great pleasure to come to the Vintage Steakhouse where we not only see beautifully restored train cars but also can enjoy excellent food. Service is alway attentive. Food is served hot on hot plates so stays warm longer. We find it well worth the hour drive from our home down to San Juan Capistrano."

"Vintage has been our local favorite for years, and they NEVER disappoint when it comes to celebrating special occasions with a large group. Matthew and staff accommodated our party of 18 with only hours of notice ... the table setting was absolutely beautiful, the menus customized, food and service excellent -- Doug (our server) was attentive, efficient and so pleasant! Needless to say, the evening was a huge success! This was the 5th private dinner we planned with Vintage, and we will continue to take our celebrations there in the future!! Thank you for another memorable evening!!"

"The restaurant itself is something to experience; however for being a steakhouse and a pricey one at that I was very disappointed in their food. My steak was over cooked and so were others' in my party. There was just nothing special about the dishes, they lacked bursts of flavor. I do not think I will return, the food is too expensive for what you actually get."

"This is one of our favorite places to eat. The food and service are hard to beat. We enjoyed the March Pre-fixed meal. Our servers treated us as if we had ordered off the regular menu. Some places treat you like you are at an "early bird" special.

"Wow!!! I can't say much more than that! The drinks at the bar were great and the food in the dining car was fantastic. But I have to say without a doubt the best part of the evening was the service. The bartender was terrific. And our waiter and his assistant topped that. My wife and I loved The Vintage Steakhouse and we will definitely be back."

"The thing that stood out to me the most was the fact that the restaurant itself is built on an old train. That was one of the main reasons why I chose to book a reservation. The dining experience was phenomenal. Eating a freshly-grilled steak on an old, fancy train was a unique experience. It was also very romantic which was perfect for Valentine's Day. The food was great and the service was great too. My girlfriend especially loved the place and it made it a very memorable day."

"What a delightful place this turned out to be! Went for Valentine's Day and we were floored by delicious food and great service. Dining in the Pullman Rail Car was romantic and unique. The trains going by the picture windows provided quite a show. The bar was warm and welcoming. The Poached Salmon w/Bordelaise sauce was perfect, Seared Ahi with a spicy sauce was great, too! They're known for their twice-baked potatoes and earn the recognition. Prices were reasonable. We definately recommend The Vintage Steakhouse!"

"The venison was very good. Service a little sketch. My son's sauce for his filet mignon was not what he asked for. My mesquite BBQ chicken was not as described on the menu. It was good, but I don't think it was mequite BBQ'd. Didn't realize all this until I was back home and took a look at the menu on line. Maybe it was because we did not dine 'til 9 p.m."
