Located on Belden Place in the heart of the financial district. Wonderful al fresco atmosphere, European Style. Unbeatable Italian Cuisine. The quintessential dinning experience.
"Can barely even say that about the service. Waiter wrote everything down but came back to clarify our order and them screwed it up anyway. Pointed at one wild sea bass, got the other. Ordered cappuccino, got espresso. And food came out SLOWLY, but that's probably not the waiters fault as the food was hot. At least I can say the food was really tasty. Not sure I would go back"

"The food was good; for San Francisco, a bit under expectations, but still good. They would not modify a dish by adding grilled chicken, so I had to orger a salad and add the grilled chicken to that; whats up with that?
One dish was not up to par at all, the Gnocci; don't order it here. If you want outstanding Gnocci, go to Pinocchios just over the hill in Little Italy."

"Neat little place. There were 6 of us - those that had the pasta dishes thought they were fantastic, and those that ordered fish thought it was so-so. Service was excellent and attentive. Did get a bit noisy at the end of the evening. Overall, a pleasant experience."

"We loved it. Wish the near-by parking garage had stayed open beyond 9 PM. Brindisi is a small and very cute restaurant that reminded us of Europe. Our waiter was attentive, patient and knowledgeable. The food was very good -- even by SF standards."

"Food was amazing! Wonderful dishes we will definitely recreate at home. The waiters were polite when we saw them, which was never. Awful service by very nice people. Like telling a really good buddy that he abuses your time."

"We went there for a family dinner and it was perfect. My Cioppino was a little on the bland side with the sauce more flavored towards meat rather than fish but every one else commented on how good their meals were so I was very happy I took them there."

"We love Brindisi! This is one of our favorite spots in San Francisco. Our last visit was this past Vday. Although our server was not as great as our previous server Salvatore, we still enjoyed our dining experience. We know they were busy as the restaurant was packed. The receptionist is always super pleasant and the food is always as awesome! We will definitely come back & recommend this place to all of our friends."

"We have never had anything but fantastic experiences at Brindisi but a few things have changed since we were last there. The more permanent tent in the alley really makes the "outdoor" seating muchmorecomfortable. The other change is the food. It was always great, but there is now something stepped up a notch. Plate presentation was consistently the look of a magazine spread, not just for our food, but for all the plates we saw go to other tables. Also a band happened to be playing there that night, Americano Social Club. That added fun and ambience we were not expecting. Really made the evening stand out. Seating is always a little "close" but that can lead to somecross-table conversation. We had a perfect Valentine's Day dinner."

"Lovely place. The food was awesome. But the waiter there was very horrible. I went with my husband and we were very disappointed that we were constantly overlooked. It took long for almost everything, and at one point when we had been waiting to pay and asked a busser to please handle it because our waiter was about 20minutes MIA, and he just about slammed our checkbook on our table and walked away. I'm not sure if he handled us so bad if he thought we were older, because he seemed to treat the other tables next to us who were older couples better. He then proceeded to tell me that service wasn't included when I didn't tip the 20% that is customary. But I refuse to pay more money for bad service."

"Terrible, terrible service. The restaurant was very understaffed for a Saturday night, however that was no excuse for our waiter being so rude and unprofessional throughout the entire evening. Since he behaved that way with other diners we didn't take it personally."

"While waiting for my guest, who was 15 minutes late, no server asked me if I would like a glass of wine. This seemed unusual to me. Flavia, who may be the maitresse d'hotel, may have been just too busy to be polite rather than abrupt and loud.
The petrale with the Milanese sauce was excellent.
I have had excellent service here at other times."

"Unlike several of the more pretentious restaurants along Belden Pl, Brindisi provides wonderful food with friendly attentive service! We visited for the first time at the end of Dine Around Town. The fixed menu was both appealing with excellent choices, beautifully prepared and served by friendly enthusiastic staff. After visiting restaurant like Brindisi, I always wonder why some restaurants with indifferent food and service stay as busy as they do? Definitely give Brindisi a try!"

"Appetizer soup was just OK, but chicken main dish was truly excellent. We informed our server we were both gluten-free and she went to ask whether the soup had flour. But then both of our main dishes arrived with a flour crust. I feel like at a high-end restaurant like this she should have known to warn us about the flour crust. She did replace my companion's dish with a flour-free version quite quickly. But before that, service was quite slow."

"My friends and I went for a Dine Around Promo Lunch, and it was excellent. Grilled sardine with salsa verde, Lingurian Chicken Breast and Panna Cotta for dessert. The chicken dish was outstanding -- juicy chicken with asparagus, chanterelle, olives, in a lemon herb sauce. The service was very friendly and very Italian, which is always nice in an Italian restaurant. I have already recommended it to several of my friends and will definitely return."

"We made a reservation at Brindisi through Open Table's reviews as it was one of the few places we could find with an opening last minute on Saturday evening. The restaraunt was a great find; quaint, dimly lit and quiet with a heated outdoor dining area on the alley. The service was perfect! We will definately go back.
Highly recommend their signature dish, Linguini Allo Scrigno. Great presentation and just delicious!! Our table also ordered the Pork Chop, Sea Bass and Beet salad. All received rave reviews."

"We went during Dine About Town and had a great meal. They offered a generous 3 course prix fixe menu. We especially liked the gnocchi appetizer, which was tender and fluffy."
