"My wife and I celebrated our anniversary this time. Not the most romantic, especially at 6:00 when there is still so much daylight. But WG's always has great food and service, so its a no-brainer. We had plans later in the evening and I was confident that we would finish our dinner in time. We ended up having a lot of time, but that was OK. We strolled down the Mall after and helped our dinner settle."

"We have dined here twice and both times we loved the food and the service. We ate outside this time which was lovely. The steaks and seafood are delicious. We look forward to going back but we live out of town. We recommend this restaurant to anyone."

"We went in for a Birthday Dinner. Ordered the King Crab Legs, was told it would be a bit longer because the steamer was already shut off. 9:00pm at night. When we got our dinner the butter and the crab legs were not hot. The steak was cooked to perfection. The server could have been a bit friendlier, we were trying to stir up a conversation he was more concerned about getting out."

"Great food and great service. However, be aware that they do not offer their normal lunch menu on Sundays. There are very few seafood selections available on their Sunday brunch menu so if you go there for lunch on a Sunday looking for seafood, you will be very disappointed."

"The table was ready on time so we were seated right away. Drinks were ordered but didn't come in a hurry at all. Waiter was friendly and apologetic, luckily we weren't in any rush. It was a Saturday night and they were packed, still a downtown place like this should be use to the crowds.
From the ahi tuna and shrimp apps to the steak and trout dinners, the food was excellent! I've eaten here a few times now and this was the only time that there's been any problem with the service, maybe they were just having an off night. But really, you're in downtown Denver on a beautiful Saturday night - life is good! I'll go back to Willie G's."

"Celebrated a wedding anniversary at Willie G's on a Saturday evening and was pretty disappointed with the food. Started with the bread that was simple bland and the rib-eye I ordered had more than usual amount of fat. Don't get me wrong I like a little marbling on my rib-eye but could not find much meat on it to eat. Ryan our waiter was good and they even gave us a complimentary desert. Probably won't return anytime soon."

"I chose this restaurant for Dinner before Prom. I was not dissappointed with my choice and me and my girlfriend had a wonderful night. The prices are fair but make sure you notice crab is Market price so it will vary. Even that even thing tasted wonderful. I recommend the seafood pasta. The clams are to die for. "I've eaten at Willie G's many times (I work downtown) but this visit was less than desirable. The food looked like it had just been thrown on the plate without any regard for presentation. It was not hot when served and because I was with a colleague, I did not send it back which if I had been alone I would have. I will probably not go back for a long time if ever."

"I have dined at this restaurant before in Denver and Houston, Texas. While the food was ok, service this time around was extremely poor. Given that the restaurant did not appear to be busy, it did not make sense that the waiter should take close to 50 minutes before the order was taken. The waiter was not attentive at all. We ordered salad first as an apetizer and then the main course. However, the server came to ask if we were ready for the check and yet he had not yet brought the main course. He did not even ask if we wanted dessert or something like that. I was so disappointed that I talked to the manager on duty about the overly poor service we were given. Very poor service indeed."

"Willie G's has a large, appealing menu. There are several items I'd like to try. My friend had the Mandarin shrimp and thought they were very good. She felt the tempura batter was unnecessary in the recipe, however. I had a broiled/grilled seafood platter. The waiter and kitchen handled our food allergies well. They validate parking in the garage below the restaurant which is a good deal."

"Part of the Landry's group of fairly upscale seafood and steak restaurants. Menu has some innovative selections but the sauce or accompaniments may overwhelm the pure tastes of the fish. Service was excellent. A good choice if you're part of the Landry's Select club that allows you to gain points towards future meals."

"Good food, the wifes seafood dish was excellent, my prime rib was just average. The only negative was we had a reservation early (5:00 to get to a concert on time) there was no hostess at the front, the bartender hollered at us from behind the bar and then came and seated us, he was our waiter the whole time, we told him we had a reservation but he never checke us in, we got a no show from Opentable which I think was fixed. Slightly lax on the service because he was so busy, other staff was standing around chatting."

"Not only was the food quality poor, the service was so rude that I will go out of my way to tell people NOT to go to this location. I have been places where the food has been less than what I expected; however if the service is amazing I would go again, but not here! After eating we decided that we would still leave an above standard tip of $25 on $119. We typically leave cash and only had a $20 bill, so we left $5 on the card. Our waiter took it and went in the back. We then saw him go up front and tell someone we only left $5! Another waiter then passed by our table and said, "$5 on $119!" and laughed. I am not sure if the waiters "tip out" at the end of the night, but he obviously took the $20 and told everyone we only tipped $5!"

"Seated immidiatly which is always good. Waiter was knowledgeable with wine list as well as food. Service was great and appitizer's as well as food came out prefectly timed. We did not have to wait. Drinks came out with no wait and kept coming when needed. I would recommend this place to all. Kid friendly and a very nice place to eat with exeptional food."

"Our service was terrible. We waited long periods for wine, water, bread and our meal. Although we told our waiter we had a play at 7:30. We had ro leave beforw our desert was served. Many others came after and left before we did. My friend's sirloin was served well done and the manager argued with her about it. She had ordered medium rare.
When she returned with a second steak, it was so tough that she had difficulty cuttting it. The tilapia was served smothered in a brown gravy sauce??? Strange and not tasty. The chicken entree was delicious."

"I went during the 5280 week. I got the salad, Tilapia and tiramisu. The food was great except for the red potatoes that came with the tilapia, it was burnt. I didnt eat it of course. As for the service, the slowest time was at the beginning before ordering (10-15 minutes) and when we were waiting for the dessert (about 20 minutes). Overall it was a fair experience."

"I did not know what to expect from this restaurant. I have passed them so many times on the way down to the ballpark and always was curious if I would enjoy a meal there. Well, I can tell you that I was not disappointed in the least. My wife and I attended Willie G's for Denver Restaurant Week and we were really very satisfied with everything. This is an outstanding restaurant. The staff was great, they make you feel like a million bucks and the food is everything you would expect at a high class restaurant. I highly recommend anyone who wants a great restaurant for any occassion to visit Willie G's. I definitely will go back anytime."
