OPAH Restaurant & Bar @ Town Center Aliso Viejo
At Opah Restaurant & Bar, we serve the finest fresh fish in Orange County. Carefully hand selected each day to deliver the best quality available. Come in and enjoy the menu created by Marc A. Cohen, One of the Best Chef's in Orange County. The menu is exquisite, featuring edible works of art, that look so good the could be on a magazine cover. Dont forget to try one of our signature Award Winning Martinis, or have some wine outside near the fireplace on the patio. We offer live music for our patrons on certain nights as well to add to the dining experience. If you wondering how we came up with the name Opah. It comes from the Hawaiian word for Moonfish, which was once viewed as Good Luck by fisherman, & often given away as a gesture of Good Will.

"We have been to Opah 3 times in the past few months after only once in the past 10 years. The restaurant definitely improved since we went after it had first opened. It must have changed ownership. The food is very good and a decent value. There are some very unique appetizers. It has a wide variety menu."

"I had not been to an Opah in some time, and must say, it was not at the level I seem to remember. Was it good, yes. Was it great, no.
The service was excellent, but the food was not quite as vibrant and unique as I remember it, and lacked the "wow" factor I remember from many previous experiences there.
The drink selections for this type of establishment were surprisingly of lower quality than I would expect.
Because I have had so many memorable experiences at three different Opah locations, this one left me disappointed."

"Thank goodness the food is delicious and nicely presented! Our waiter disappeared from Planet Earth twice for over 15 minutes at a stretch each time! So, it was a long evening, with lots of rumbling tummies. In the end we were pleased with our dishes, but the waiter's tip took a deserved beating!"

"Opah consistently has an impressive menu full of many great steak, chicken and seafood options. This is the restaurant I always choose for special occasions such as my 18th birthday many years ago, and my graduation from graduate school, and this year mother's day. I was a little disappointed that there was not a brunch menu but the salads are perfect for lunch time. Every dish comes with a really big piece of meat or fish, which is good. They serve bread when you first arrive with a delicious pink colored butter. The cocktail menu is great and the ambiance inside is very classy. The outdoor deck is very large, however, I would not recommend it for a warm day because it tends to trap the heat. Overall, I definitely recommend Opah."

"What I liked: sitting in the outside patio, grilled artichoke starter, grilled opah fish lightly topped with pineapple and mango
What I didn't like: wait staff didn't refresh our drinks often, the sweet seasoning in the rice didn't compliment the opah fish dish, dessert menu didn't have a option for sorbet"

"Went for Mother's Day early dinner and of course, it was very busy. When we arrived, we were greeted by a very sweet young lady and she seated us promptly. Service was very good and our waitress was very knowledgeable of the menu. I wish I could remember her name because she was worth mentioning. My apologies to her. We ordered drinks and they were good. I was disappointed on the portion size for the price of the items. I'm not looking a plate full nor do I want to waste food. My salmon was over cooked but tasty. My daughter ordered the steak and again, small portion for the prices..but cooked to her liking..We would go again to try other items on the menu."

"We arrived 1/2 hour early and they accommodated us immediately. Very attentive to us and all the tables around us. Each person of the wait staff and the manager himself were watchful all evening. I dropped my fork and our waitress picked it up at once while another replaced it with a clean one almost as if he were waiting for us to do so. Incredible! Food served hot and in a timely fashion. Thoroughly lovely evening. Our door was opened for us on the way out by the host, who bade us farewell with a genuine smile. All other restaurants take note."

"Crackling Shrimp appetizer was good, sort of a sweet and sour dish. Our entrees were very disappointing, fish and chips very greasy and my skirt steak very tough and had a peculiar odor to it. We will not be back."
