"This restaurant is very captivating and elegant. It was my first time dining here and I enjoyed every second of my experience! I even brought guests who were also wowed by the experience. The hosts and servers displayed such a welcoming attitude and were very attentive to our dining experience. In addition, I had an infant and they catered to my every need by making me feel comfortable. Furthermore, my fiancé proposed to me and they did a magnificent job of assisting him with the proposal. I have already recommended this restaurant to all of my family and friends."

"this restaurant had nice view of new york city, but food wasnt impressive, i had a salmon, one of the worst tasting salmon i ever had.
service was good, it was not extensively well trained as nice new york city restaurant, but server was nice, he knew well about the menu, explained well.
overall, service, environment were ok but food was just not right, even i had a cocktail, I don't even remember what i had, which means it was not memorable or impressive. must be improve on taste of food!"

"I've been here twice and have never been disappointed with the food. This time they changed the menu and had a new list of salads, I wasn't sure about my selection but once I ate the salad I was very glad I picked the chicken salad. It was extremely delicious! The appetizer egg rolls were also amazing! I order the caipirinha which was ok, kind of strong. Definitely a great place for food!"

"Portion size is not small like another reviewer said. I had the risotto and had enough for lunch the next day. Service was great! We would have loved it if there were heaters outside, so we could have sat out there to enjoy the view. Other than that, great evening!"

"Restaurant was excellent from location to design to GREAT Food.. The only thing that would keep me from returning was how EXTREMELY LOUD the restaurant is and Seriously Obnoxious the clientele was!! I do not need to hear 40 something yelling and screaming like high school kids during lunch in a cafeteria!! Not at all the ambiance that a restaurant of such high quality food and staff deserve..."

"This was a great place. The service and food was great. My only complaint was I had a reservation for a certain time. We got there very early but still had to wait almost an hour and a half for a table. Not because of the restaurant itself but because other patrons stayed at their tables longer than expected so the people with reservations had to wait for them to get up. This place kindly gave us appetizers and drinks on the house for the wait and were very apologetic. The staff was awesome and kept me informed throughout the night about our table. Overall I rate this place a 10 and would revisit this place as much as I can. I loved it!"

"2nd year in a row our girl group has celebrated big birthday brunch @ 340Grill- and it did not disappoint! Truffle eggs benedict, short rib sliders, bloody marys- we had the best food and drinks and it was a bargain for the quality and service we received!! And btw the view is unparalleled! on the water looking at NYC skyline- Wow!

"3 Forty grill was excellent! It was the second time and my girlfriend had been there, and this time it really lived up and exceeded our expectations from the first time! The food is very very good, we especially recommend trying the chefs specials, the Panko crab stuffed mushrooms we had was outstanding, and the menu is very good, it's not over whelming and is displayed simple yet informative, with a excellent selection!! I would also like to make a note about the service, which is top quality, you get great service, and the staff actually have a personality aswell, which really adds to the experience and made our night very enjoyable!! We will defiently be going back!!"

"3Forty is a top 5 favorite restaurants in Hoboken for me. A friend of mine first brought me for the Round the World oysters and they're fantastic. But I keep coming back because I have yet to have a bad meal or bad service. Some restaurants you stick with what you know is good, but I've never had the same meal twice because I'm confident it will be worth the risk. It's a particular favorite when the weather is warm enough to allow for outdoor seating."

"Person on the phone when we called for directions wasn't friendly, service was very cold and felt rushed, it was Vday and we understand but the restaurant wasn't full or with high demand at all, was actually kind of empty we were there 5:45 pm so early dinner. Waitress was straight to the point, service felt rushed, I wish i had few more minutes to order. The appetizer was really good, risotto very good. Main course very disappointed my husband had jumbo crab cakes ( very small and boring) compare to other places we been, I got sea bass, didn't like at all pretty boring. Desert was delicious, caramel apple something, I really liked. The biggest drawback was the service. Restaurant is pretty and the view it's great. Maybe for brunch to see."

"I came here for Valentine's Day with my wife. It was a very lovely atmosphere. All of the wait staff was pleasant and so were the hostess'. The food was excellent and the portions were just right. "I have to say, after all the hype regarding 3 Forty, I would not recommend dining here. Upon entering, we were notified by our hostess that due to us arriving late, we would need to vacate our table within an hour. A- We called to let them know we were running late, due to not finding parking. (It IS Hoboken!) B- Why would you sit a party of 2 at a 4 top, when there were plenty of 2 tops available? None the less, we had the worst seat in the house, behind a huge column where customers and wait staff alike roared through the area, bumping into my wife's chair.
The only other complaint would be the food presentation. For a fine dining establishment, one would expect more as far as Crab cakes go. We did have a great waitress."

"A large part of the place is a night clubby kind of bar. It is very separate from the dining area, but it gives a certain vibe to the place overall. The music is clubby & a tad loud. The whole place is definitely geared toward the younger, hipper set, so considering that, it is tastefully done. It is fine for kids since it's loud & large. They have a separate kids menu."

"Good was great, their menu choice is unique, which makes this a place a must go for people who like to try something different.
Servers were very attentive, right down to the ones who keep your glass of water full, who always ware a smile.
Make sure you save room for dessert, the apple crusted pie is awesome.
Lastly, the scenic view was very good. Being at the corner you have two sides of the restaurants with floor to ceiling windows and minimal obstructions to the NYC view."

"This was my second visit to 3 Fourty Grill. My first was with a group of girlfrends and this time was with my husband. Both visits were fantastic. I love the martini choices! Great food, great ambiance and a beautiful view of the NYC skyline. Excellent, attentive, friendly service too. Only suggestion I have is to add a traditional Ceasar Salad to the menu, otherwise I wouldn't change a thing."

"Great restaurant with wonderful service food. Parking is bad but park around the corner (little man) and give restaurant yourwpaid ticket and get $10 off your bill. When i called for rsvp, the hostess had nothing available. But OpenTable came through for us. First time using OT,very satisfied and will use again and come back to restaurant again. Thanks OT for getting us the reservation for a great time."
