"My sister had taken a pizza making class at Isabella's and we were really excited to try the pizza. We went last Sunday evening and there no pizzas available. The rest of the menu was highly priced for very average Italian food. We ordered mussels for a starter and about 1 quarter of them did not open during cooking so we did not eat them. My linguine con vongole came about 10 minutes after the other main courses and the waiter had told me that the clams were harder to cook. Hmmmm. We won't be running back to Isabella's."

"This is a great spot for pre- theater dinner before the 8pm Music Hall concert. We had a reservation at 6:30pm and although they sat us right away we were crammed at a very small table right in front of the door to the restaurant. When we requested a better table they explained they were booked. The food was pricey but good, not great."

"the service was extremely slow and the food was dissapointing. the veal chop is a small, thin chop. not what you expect at an Italian restaurant. the penne vodka had a funny taste and the tilapia was very bland. the ambience, while in no way compensating for the food and the service, was quite nice."

"The place was noisy, and the waiter distracted. It took a long time to get our food, and it was cold. Saturday night is probably not the best time to test a restaurant."

"If you're going to the Tarrytown Music Hall, by all means, make this your first stop for a pre-theater dinner. You will not be disappointed. In every regard, Isabella's is a superior dining experience. Simply stated, the food is wonderful. There are many choices and each is superb. The service is consistent and precise. The staff is amiable and responsive. The tables are relatively spacious, so you do not feel cramped. The noise is at a level that I would call 'conversational'. There are other dining options along Main Street but, in my view, Isabella's is the best. Even if you're not going to the Music Hall, Isabella's is definitely a worthwhile stop. Make the effort and go - you'll enjoy Italian cuisine at its finest at Isabella's."

"Our initial impression was quite good, including the ambience of the restaurant and a great looking menue. The appetizers were quite good, too BUT - the bread provided was a bit stale, seemed like it had been sitting out for a while - the various dishes (we were a party of six) we OK but not wonderful - the restaurant wasn't very full but the wait staff didn't seem to remember who had what and a 2nd glass of wine one of us ordered was never delivered. We weren't charged for it but the person who ordered it DID want it. - overall, for about $55/person, we weren't impressed and won't be going back to Isabella's"

"I was very disappointed by my last trip to this restaurant. Having been there many times before and finding it always consistently good, we recommended this restaurant to our friends to meet at before a show we were attending up the street at the Tarrytown Music Hall Theater. We arrived, a party of six at 6:15 for our reservation and were immediately seated. we believed that this afforded us enough time to adequately eat, enjoy our dinner and then make the three minute walk up the block for our 8:00PM show.
Unfortunately, the service was slow, the food was extremely slow in coming out of the kitchen (ordered our food at 6:35PM, entrees were placed on the table at 7:30). Food was not great either. All in all, not good!"

"food was just OK and the service was horrible. I understand that the place was busy, everyone was going to the show at 8pm. Therefore, the place was busy all at the same time. the waiter we had was very rude....which reflected in his tip....I couldn't believe the way we were treated. There is no excuse to be treated like that when we are spending over $100 for a party of two."

"It seemed overpriced. We knew the menu prices ahead of time, but we expected higher quality food. It was fine, but nothing special. Also the size of the "special" portions was quite small. The desserts were the best part of the meal."
