"The outdoor dining experience was great. Everyone was customer focused. The table we had was very enjoyable and the sunset was pretty dramatic thru the trees. The only problem was that I spent the rest of the night in the water closet of my room at at the Applewood Inn. I ordered the crusted halibut."

"Yes they were serving 160 people for Mother's day Brunch but the restaurant was completely inflexible in assisting with our dining choices. My Mom has food allergies and they were completely insulting and unhelpful in a simple request to leave the sauce off of the crabcakes or soup. We got a whiney response that they had so many people to serve they just could not make any changes. Really? They would not let my Mom order off the kids menu so she could find something to eat. We were actually asked if my Mom really had food allergies. The dessert was still frozen. The fruit salad was quite subpar. Our waiter was new and inexperienced. He was trying to help. For 40/person that is too expensive for breakfast to be so inflexible."

"We came here for Mother's day brunch and it was fantastic. We went to the outdoor tasting "room" and bought a bottle of wine to bring to the table. Then we sat at our table and enjoyed a leisurely meal. The service was very good. The food was good. All the men ordered steak and eggs which they reported was cooked very well. I ordered the farmers plate which was good but a little bland. It could have used some more flavor. It was near the end of the day and Mother's day so I have no complaints. We will definately be back."

"We held our son's college graduation dinner here. Our party of ten was treated with warm, efficient and considerate service and everyone thought the food was delicious. We had a chance to tell the chef in person when he visited our table during the meal. They were very accommodating to our requests and the overall experience in a beautiful wine country setting made for a very successful and memorable special occasion for our family and friends. One of them told me later, "That restaurant was a real find!""

"We enjoyed Mother's Day brunch but at $38/person for a starter, limited entree choice, and so-so dessert it seemed over priced. Complimentary Mimosa was a nice touch."

"What a special place! A perfect blend of contemporary and "70's". Truly the place to stop for lunch when wine tasting in the Russian River Valley. My husband had fish&chips..he enjoyed but next time would get that huge burger. The menu just has a plain cesaer but the server was happy to have the kitchen add chicken...delicious. Also, since the tasting room is right there, the server suggested we go taste while our meal was being prepared. We could pick our wine and bring it back to the table. PERFECT. We chose a nice Rose and thoroughly enjoyed the wine and our meal. We will return!"

"Portions a little too small. A bit pricey for the sides...salad $10 but not that special. Deserts $10 but nothing that special either. Menu little too small. I liked it better with the tented outdoor area for evening dining...too cold at night to use outdoor dining area"

"Corks is located in beautiful West Sonoma County. It has a winery tasting room on site as well. The outdoor dining is very peaceful and beautiful. Your table will be visited by the resident dog, Chester, who is very endearing. The wait staff was attentive, knowledgeable and gave my husband a free birthday desert. The award winning wine we had was excellant and reasonably priced, didn't seem to be marked up at all. Our food was delicious! Vegan and vegetarian options are available and the portobello "steak" with mashed potatoes are a favorite of mine from previous visits. This time two of us had sea bass and scallops and the third person had salmon. All dishes were cooked perfectly and gone in no time! Our deserts were also great"

"A novelty of this restaurant is that it is one of the few (3?) in Sonoma County that are an integral part of a winery. Only two of us dined there, but the facility can accommodate large parties and events (e. g., weddings). Seating can be either inside or out. Wine list is excellent(and includes many wines other than from the accompanying winery.) The charcuterie starter plate was very good. The number of entree items is not large, but all are excellent, and have recommendations for appropriate wine pairings. Sitting outdoors, one can hear the calls of birds in the neighboring woods. Excellent service by the staff. The facility itself is somewhat rustic, but the food and wine are a great experience!"

"We went for the fixed menu Easter Brunch. They had several selections to choose from, all tempting. The food was excellent, as usual. We were seated in the enclosed patio as it was raining that day so the noise level wasn't bad. We walked through the main diningroom on the way to our table and it seemed a bit loud. I would definitely recommmend the enclosed patio room or outdoor dining when the weather is better."

"Someone gave a coupon for a free tasting in Corks wine room. So we decided to also have lunch there as well. While the wines are ok, not fantastic, the food was great. The Easter Brunch started with great breads with Salmon and other items to spread and top the bread and flatbreads. I had a great Crab Omelette (lots of crab) while my guest has Duck Confit Eggs, with so much food, we didn't need to eat dinner. To top it off they give you a free bottle of wine at to take home. It was a deal of the day.
The only down note is there is a leak in the roof and we had to traverse a puddle to leave. Upon inspection of the room there is a huge tarp. They need to improve their structure before this turns into an issue."

"We went for Easter Brunch. The menu offered many wonderful choices including vegetarian options and the price was very reasonable for the quality of the food. The vibe was warm and friendly. The staff were all pleasant and attentive. We sat at a corner table with a view. There was a spring storm complete with thunder and lightening that we were able to watch. There was a large deck designed for outside dining in more reasonable weather. I will certainly return and recommend it to my friends."

"Went for lunch on a weekday. Food was quite good, but service was incredibly slow. Not sure if it was an understaffed or overwhelmed kitchen, or the service staff. Restaurant wasn't that crowded when we arrived, but it did fill up. I suspect they were having problems in the kitchen. Restaurant is convenient to several wineries in the Forestville/Sebastapol area, so we may try Corks again."

"Very good food served by equally nice people in a country setting on a site shared with their winery and tasting room. The staff was very attentive to special dietary needs....gluteb free items are marked on the menu. It ws too cold to eat outdoors but the patio looked very nice. The location is aobut a 10 minute drive from Raford Inn, our favorite Inn in this part of Sonoma."

"The food was amazing at Corks. We went for restaurant week and had the 3 course meal. The chef prepared our food perfectly. We were impressed. The atmosphere was nice. The seating is not too cramped. It was comfortable. Our waitress was also really good. We will definitely be returning to Corks! Great place for special occasions too."

"Took advantage of restaurant week to try Corks. I've stopped in several times for wine tastings and was intrigued by the well-designed menu and ambiance. We weren't disappointed. While we did order off the prix fix menu, there was a great selection of delicious items."

"Everything we requested was done! It was our grandson's 14th birthday celebration and they treated him like gold. Food was fresh and seasonal and the server knew the menu and what could be shared or not. The Bellini's were very good and our grandson's Roy Rodgers was perfect, per his comments. Overall service, table location, drinks, and food were good. We will return for an outdoor luncheon...under the redwoods.
Our grandson ordered the pesto chicken sandwich and I ordered their burger, whereas, my wife ordered the Caesar salad w/chicken. All were warm, well prepared, and good tasting. Our grandson's dessert wished him a Happy Birthday and he appreciated that."

"We went to Corks because it was being featured for Sonoma County Restaurant Week and I am so glad we did. We will definitely be going back! The Duck Leg Confit fell off the bone and had amazing flavor. My boyfriend had the Filet Mignon and said it was one of the best steaks he's ever had. The Lemon Curd Tart was to die for! If they have it on their menu when you go, its definitely worth ordering one...or two ;-)"

"The service was very nice. The pacing of the food delivery was not. The restaurant was not even one-third full yet our meal took over two hours. There was a long delay between each course – to the point our waitress apologized for the delay. Another table for two nearby had a similar long delay experience."

"On a gorgeous February day we were hoping to come across a winery where we could taste some wines and have a casual lunch. Corks at Russian River Vineyards was just the perfect destination! René, the sommelier, was delightfully entertaining set up outdoors on the vineyard property. Lunch also was outdoors, with white linen tablecloths for a touch of elegance! My husband had fish and chips, absolutely the best crust ever on tender Petrale sole. The fries also were perfect. My Niman Ranch cheeseburger came with a green salad with a delicate, lemony dressing. Downside: my request for "medium rare" resulted in a well done burger, but it still had a good flavor. Nice friendly service, and Riley, the house dog, entertained everyone."

"Lovely dinner. Excellent foods and wines; really attentive service from a knowledgable staff. I ate the surf and turf which was creative and delicious. My husband had three courses, all good! Dessert was unique and surprising. Lovely setting, deep in the woods. Only thing that is strange is they have conference room chairs which are not conducive to a long evening of comfortable sitting. And they're ugly!"

"My parents were in town, so we decided to try it out for dinner. We had my 5 year old daughter with us, and while this was clearly adult dining, no one seemed to mind her presence. It was a rather small menu, but we were able to find something we wanted. 3 of us ordered the sea bass, which was one of the best meals I have ever had. The fish was flaky and perfect, the mushrooms were savory and the mashed potatoes gave you something to sop up the delicious sauce with. My mom ordered the butternut squash tortellini and was disappointed. She said it was too sweet and that the flavors didn't come together the way they should. Otherwise, everything was delicious. We were a little confused about The Doors playing as background music though."

"My fiance' and I went to Cork Restaurant for Valentines Day and could not have been more happy with our experience. Right from the start we were greeted with a smile and warm welcome. We also were graciously permitted to choose a table to our liking. Our server was extremely helpful and delightful. As far as the quality of our meal, we both ordered chicken, and it quite possibly might be the best tasting chicken I have ever had. The side dish of Cous-Cous was also the most delicious cous-cous I have had the privilegeof having. I would recommend the Cork Restaurant for any couple looking for a quiet, romantic get away, as well as a place for tasting some of Californias's best wine."

"I just signed up to be a member of the wine club, where I get 20% off my meals, and the wines, including the meal that I had the other night when I signed up. We enjoyed a dungeness crab and avocado salad which was heavenly, the flavors of the blood orange garnish just pop in your mouth. It is absolutely a mouth-watering appetizer. And then there's the fresh bread basket with delicious creamy butter. For dinner, I ordered the mushroom risotto with scallops. The scallops were cooked to perfection and just melted in my mouth. The pinot noir was smooth and a perfect pairing."

"There were 8 women and we had delightful time. The staff were very helpful and friendly. One person was late and our ordering was a bit out of sequence but the waitress handled it with grace and kindness. We were the noisy ones! There was some machinery going outside to cut away brush; I think they stopped it during lunch hour; not bothered. Our table did not have much of a view but there are fab views, especially in patio. Food was good. I ordered fish and chips and the fish was way over cooked, meaning that I could break it off and dip in sauce. It should be juicy and soft. Another person ordered same and was happy. We came here because one of our group had been there and recommended it, so word is spreading. We left happy"

"The food is excellent. If they are in the middle of a remodel they really should let people know when making a reservation. The grounds and exterior are beautiful the interior do not depict the pictures on their website. Office chairs, no linens, no decor, no warmth, 1 waitress ...period. The greeter refreshed the water, the busboy sort of kept up on the bread and clearing the dishes and a manager, we can only assume, helped to run food to the tables. There was no interaction or communication to really make you feel welcome, it literally felt like they placed tables and chairs into a break room and decided to open up a restaurant...$350 for 4 people ..."
