"We have eaten at the Salish Lodge Dining Room many times and always love the ambience and the food. I have noticed the last few times, the service has deterioated some. The professionalism of the wait staff was not as polished and given this was a busy Mother's Day weekend, they expanded the dining room to include the breezeway, which proved to be noisey and not comfortable/cozy."

"Unfortunately, it was not a great experience. The view was stunning, but the food was a disappointment and the service was slow. The fish and potatoes were dry and overcooked. The steak was not cooked the way I wanted. The lobster bisque was just okay. The salad was good though. It was our wedding night, and it took an hour for them to deliver the cake to us after our dinner. We had purchased the elopement package and the room was mostly great . The package came with a credit for dinner and breakfast. We had not used all of our dinner credit. The server told us we would lose it if we did not use it and could apply it to the tip. We later learned that was not true. Breakfast was great. Took an hour and a half to get, but it was mothers day."

"When I'm assisting one of my clients and another clients interrupts to ask a question, I make it a policy to let the intruding customer wait as I am currently assisting a client. The young man at check in divided his attention to help another rude customer. Letting that go, we were seated in a very crammed setting. We were sat next to a large table of women who were very loud and chatty, until their food arrived - which was about the only thing that quieted them. On that note, the food was great, but the setting and ambiance have much to be improved. We skipped dessert as the noise level was a bit too much. I suggest improvements on rearranging their tables, and setting the larger table/parties away from the smaller guest tables."

"I took my girlfriend who flew in from LA out of the city into the panoramic scenes of the mountains just an hour from Seattle. I told her that we would be eating at the Salish Lodge at Snoqualmie. She did not know it would be so beautiful a destination. She was thrilled with the lodge, the falls, the woods, and the excellent brunch served in the dining room. It was a perfect way to introduce her to the Northwest. We walked after the lunch to the viewpoint to look at Snoqualmie falls.
I will take all my visitors from outside the Northwest up to the Salish Lodge for dining. It is close enough to Seattle to be convenient and far enough to be a getaway destination."

"We were lucky enough to get the little room all to itself overlooking the falls. It was a great view and we felt very special having the room all to ourselves. We had the four course breakfast, which was very good,but it's quite an extravagant meal, and I felt the meager and sour fruits they gave should be improved upon, and the biscuits were hard and dry. Also, that is not devonshire cream. Other than those comments, we very much enjoyed the pastries, oatmeal w/chutney, the main entree was delicious, and the honey from heaven was delicious, but initially forgotten by the waitperson and had to be delivered after asking."

"The food and ambiance and setting were excellent for Sunday Brunch. We made a 1:15pm reservation, and requested a table by the window. After we checked in, the seating agent said it would be 10 minutes and we checked in after that time frame and were told it would be ready shortly....after about 20 minutes more, we noticed people who had been coming in after us were getting seated by the windows, so we went back and a new seating agent looked at his monitor and asked if we checked in....the seating agents really need to get their act together."

"We had a seat right next to the window and the waterfall. It was a gorgeous day and rainbows kept showing up in the mist. The food was good and the staff was friendly, even though we had our 2 and 4 year olds with us. There was supposed to be tea or coffee with my meal, which never showed up, but everything else was great and they even boxed up some of the extra food, since the buffet included a huge amount of food."

"We were celebrating my birthday with breakfast at Salish Lodge. There were just two of us. We had a nice view by the window and also two rainbows to look out at. The waitress was warm and friendly, chatty. Food was great! Lisa, the waitress after our meal brought a chocolate truffle with sprinkles on a white plate where she had written in chocolate "Happy Birthday". This was a very nice surprise."

"The food was delicious. When making my reservations, however, a special box asked me to make comments about our upcoming dining experience - any special needs? I replied "yes, one guest requires gluten free choices". I thought it was great that I could make that stipulation ahead of time. When we got there and we inquired about gluten free, the server said she was sorry but they didn't have a gluten free menu and we'll just have to wing it."

"At the Salish Lodge diningroom we had a table in a cove all by itself looking out over Snoqualmie Falls. The waiter was very knowledgable and made a couple of suggestions as to what was on the menu. He was also very courteous and came around a number of times to see how dinner was. As for the meal, it was absolutely top notch. The flavors were rich and well balanced, the wine list was extensive. We ended up spending two hours at dinner and enjoyed every minute of it."

"We stayed the night at Salish Lodge and made reservations for Sunday brunch for noon. When we checked in for brunch we were asked to take a seat for "a couple of seconds." It was almost a half an hour later before we were seated, and we were seated in the middle of the room with no view of anything. I was very disappointed. After we were seated it took at least 10 minutes for someone to ask if we wanted coffee. We waited another 10 minutes before my husband flagged someone down and again asked for coffee. The food was very good but the service was average. This is not an inexpensive restaurant and we were celebrating a special occasion. We won't be back."

"Pace of our meal was very slow. Lot's of downtime and wondering; "where the heck is our waiter/food?". Once it materialized the dishes were especially good and creative. Too bad the rhythm of the meal service was so off because the dishes were far better than the service and vibe.

The food is uniformly excellent, the service is nearly always impeccable (one brunch was the exception) and of course the view is unparalleled. "Our waitress was excellent, very knowlegable about what was being served and picked a wonderful wine for our meal. MY husband had issues with the air vent which was dumping cold air on him and my father, both were damp from the rainy walk in. Excellent food served well,a wonderful time was had by all,a birthday never to be forgotten."

"I don't like french toast, but it was TO DIE FOR! I trie my mom's and wished that I had ordered my own... chef serves it with house made orange marmalade, sugared hazelnuts, cinnamon whipped cream and the topper - a wedge of lime! REMARKABLE. The table side pour over coffee option was fantastic addition to the experience.
I had taken my parents as a part of their joint 75th birthday celebration. I had asked for a window table but when I called to confirm, I was told they didn't reserve window seats, though there was one in a private little room for a $50 fee. I declined and just hoped for the best upon arrival. The lovely hostess seated us in just that little room, "the best seat in the house" in honor of the celebration. Table #5!"

"Why is it always a chore to order a steak that is cooked. I requested my steak to be cooked "medium" (a little pink in the middle) and it came back with the surface browned and the rest practically raw-red. After it was returned the steak was over cooked, medium well. Go figure. The quality of the stake was excellent but the person behind the grill needs a few lessons. The rest of the meal was excellent as was the steak once it was finally cooked albet over cooked."

"We had a terrible server who was handling. A party of 16 after we sat down we ordered their special hot chocolate which was made table side and it was served cold. My baked eggs was served in a skillet dish that was 3/4 filled with oil. I pointed it to the server and he said the cheese produces oil. I mentioned something on the way out to the hostess and she said we are experimenting new items. That was a horrible excuse . I went to the hotel manager so he could be aware of the problems. He was very responsive and apologized. The restaurant could have put us in another room rather than putting the party of 16 next to us."

"Food was just OK. My husband ordered a steak medium rare and it came back medium. I ordered the scallops and they were good, but in line with other good restaurants - nothing superior. Ambiance was not as great as I had hoped. We were in the very back room with only 4 other dining rooms which felt like a closet. We could hear the kitchen from there which made it less romantic. My husband said if we were out on a date and he was going to propose to me, he would probably call it off. We probably won't be back due to the fact that we wanted to pay for a place with great ambiance and did not get that."

"This was our 3rd brunch at the Salish lodge and it was amazing as usual! Our waitress was very attentive, sweet and funny. The food was incredible! I had the eggs Benedict, I don't usually like ham but it was deeelicious!! My favorite part is all the fixins that come with coffee, especially the organic fresh whipped cream. We will be back!"

"We were celebrating our anniversary (have also been to the Salish Lodge before for such an occasion as well as to bring our family group for special dinners). Our experience was outstanding - service, food, ambiance - romantic(we had our own private dining room overlooking the falls). The waiter was just the right amount of friendliness. In fact all the employees at the lodge are friendly, courteous and helpful. After dinner, we went to the Attic for an after dinner drink and to listen to the folksinger musician. Our overall experience was outstanding and perfect for our anniversary. We highly recommend it!"
