Bouley
Bouley features the exciting culinary talents of famed four- star Chef, David Bouley. Bouley offers French cuisine with modern Asian influences served in an elegant and intimate setting.
In addition to the á la carte menu, the restaurant offers a $55 five course tasting menu for lunch and $175 six course tasting menu for dinner. Parties of 8 or more may order from the tasting menu only and deposit is required to secure a reservation. Chef Bouley is always happy to accommodate all dietary needs and restrictions.
Jackets are required for gentlemen at both lunch and dinner.

"Quite possibly the best dining experience i've ever had. The ambiance (living room setting) was second to none in comfort and charm. The quality of the food was was off the charts, and every plate continued to surprise! Truly a delightful experience!"

"For a restaurant of this calibre and in view of the apparent attempts to provide an excellent dining experience, I was very disappointed in the service we received when we dined here on May 16th. There were multiple omissions that led me to believe that we were obviously seated in an invisible zone--No wine list was offered , no water replenished.The bread cart, which circled surrounding tables multiple times, never made it to our table--ever. The coffee which was wonderful was never replenished and no offers were made to replenish until we had already paid our bill and were getting ready to leave. All in all, quite a disappointment and, considering this was a special occasion for me, an experience to forget."

"I loved the fantastic tastes of all the dishes. The lunch tasting menu is a wonderful opportunity to be surprised at every course and if you are sharing, as we were, the surprise is doubled. A good combination of appetizers is the porcini flan and the wild mushrooms. Cannot identify/remember the foamy concoction that went together with the wild mushrooms, but left me feeling lifted on a cloud. Before that the Big Eye Tuna with the airy taste of Green Apple was heavenly. The main course 17 hours Slow Braised Kobe Style Beef Cheeks were melting in my mouth. And every next step was perfection - Chilled Rhubarb Soup with flavorful strawberries, Caramelized Anjou Pear, and the complimentary sweets selection at the end!"

"This was one of those most impressive experiences that will NEVER be forgotten. Downstairs was a lower key, great place for enjoying the full experience. The upstairs/main level was a bit more active. We arrived at 8p as a party of four and left a little after 11p. The tasting menu was simply the finest mix of culinary delight. The attention to any food allergies was unmatched. The wait staff and wine stewards were attentive, didn't rush us, so very "on it." A truly magical evening. The brilliant and generous chef kept sending out "extra" courses of some of the finest treats on top of the six course tasting menu. Bravo/a to all involved. Thank you for making our special visit with dear friends one of the finest."

"This is the best time I've had in a restaurant in many years. The ambiance is that of an opulent townhouse. The food is wonderful. The 10 different breads worth the carbs. The drinks marvelous. The service is first class plus. The cost reasonable considering the value received. ENJOY!"

"We celebrate me birthday in NYC and part of my present was dinner in this top rated place.
It met all of our expectations and even more.

"We dined at Bouley to open our honeymoon. My wife and I regularly eat in fine restaurants (Paris, Rome, Milan, New York, Toronto, Montreal) and can say without hesitation that Bouley presented us with one of the finest dinners we have ever had. Everyone from the chef to the waiters, and thus both the quality and its preparation to the food to the service, exhibited attention to detail. The staff at Bouley love what they do. For them food is a work of art. We were touched when the chef honored our honeymoon with a special desert and gift. Certainly not typical dining in New York and highly, highly recommended for lovers of food and art!"

"More of an experience than a dinner, the food was impressive in every respect. Although we did not have the tasting menu, we were presented with multiple opportunities to taste special presentations from the chef. Service was warm, welcoming & humorous. We felt as though we were regular diners in this elegant setting. This is a gorgeous room that presents a spectacular experience in every regard. The sommelier was phenomenal in her choice of wine pairings. Especially fun is the attendant to the bread cart who makes his job of slicing these marvelous loaves to be his passion. Everyone from the person who welcomes you to the person who escorts you to the door really wants you to have an exceptional. They are successful on every count!"

"From the moment you walk in your senses are stimulated with beauty. The scent of apples and flowers take you out of the city and into an absolutely special. The service couldn't be better from the hostess to the sommelier to the waitstaff. There was no pretension in his attitude nor in any other waiter or server. We had the $55 luncheon tasting menu. We started out with 2 amuse bouches which were as stunning to look at as to taste. I won't go into every detail but suffice it to say that no detail was left out. My mother ordered only a main dish yet they still brought out small treats flor her. The service was impeccable and available without hovering."

"We booked Bouley after being recommended that it was the best restaurant in NYC. The recommendation did not let us down! The food was amazing and I could not fault this amazing place! The lunch tasting was $55 each and we could not be happier with the choice.
Good to note that you do need to dress appropriately - suit jacket is a must for dining here - but worth it!"

"clearly much better than Jean Georges. I would rate it 2 star in the Michelin system. Of 6 courses, 1 was good, 4 very good and 1 exceptional. Service was friendly and efficient. The only nit was a certain delay between the dishes of the tasting menu. Wine service was very good. In sum, a great restaurant. With minor adjustments it could achieve 3 stars. Strongly recommended."

"Fabulous experience from beginning to end. Not only was the food stellar, but the dining experience complimented the food. The dining room has a soothing French countryside calmness that simply heightens the taste, sight and smell of the delicious food. We got the prix fixe, 5 courses of various items from the menu, but the kitchen kept sending out little tastes of other things - there were 4 of these, including a delightful selection of cookies/pastries at the very end. I'll be back!"

"Bouley remains my favorite place for a splurge. The food is outstanding, creative, flavorful - only the best ingredients. It is creative without being fussy or pretentious. For instance, there is lots of ‘foam” – but it all seems to fit, and feels so substantive. This is food to linger over. The tasting menu at lunch is wonderful, and they give you so many extras. The service is perfect, and the room is so beautiful - even when full it is not too noisy."

"My wife and I celebrated her 40th birthday at Bouley. I never write reviews but I felt compelled we had the dining experience of our lives. Bouley's luncheon tasting menu is simply amazing. I've been to a bunch of 1 Michelin star restaurants as well as Daniel for dinners. This lunch menu stands out above all the other meals and the service was exemplary. If it's still on the menu don't miss the Porcini Flan. Also try the fig bread."

You will face a wonderfull perfect convidativos of tastes. One better tham than others.
You Will have a Veri Good list of wine to pare with your food. Accept ALL the sugestions.
They really know Hop to do a Good job to surprise you.
Perfect to GO with a romantic Person."

"Despite being underdressed (due to erroneous advice from others) we were greeted and treated with excellent service and attention - Jacket and tie are de rigueur for the evening! We were seated in the smaller, quieter, more intimate dining room downstairs. We chose the six course tasting menu with wine parings - as befits a Michelin multi-starred restaurant, everything was exquisitely prepared, presented and memorable! Wines served with each course were very well matched and all private imports. Wine steward was very knowledgeable about each and engaged us in extensive discussion about each. While an expensive option, wine portions were generous with additional pours if desired. The departing baked good gift was a nice finishing touch ..."

"Amazing.....twice as many courses as listed! Filling, fancy but not overly rich. Pure essence of flavors. Perfect timing of courses. Exciting choices within Prix Fixe format. Lovely waiters without being stuffy. Beautifully appointed walls, window treatments, flower arrangements, vases, carpet and upholstery. "One of the best meals of my life, and certainly the equal of practically all the Michelin-starred restaurants where I dined while living in Europe. A listing of the specific dishes would't really serve any useful purpose, as I'm sure they change so rapidly as to make any description obsolete very quickly.
As many reviewers and guidebooks have noted, the $55 tasting menu at lunch is a terrific bargain and doesn't restrict diners to low-end dishes. Although it's listed as a five-course meal, with amuse-bouches, petits-fours and other in-between treats, mine turned out to be more like seven or eight. Sensational!"

"Excellent food, top service, one of the best I have been in New York if not the best ! We had a late dinner and were offered some of the excellent fresh bread for taking home. Excellent sitting, allows confidential discussions without being to near to the next table. A place I would only recommend to my closest friends."
