"Our dining experience was fantastic! My 87 year old mother was with us and she can't have salt in her diet. Chef Eric came out, talked with her and made her a special salt free lunch. Thank you! This place is stunning and comfortable. We already have plans to go back soon and sit out by the fire pit and have appetizers and drinks. The view is incredible. The wait staff was attentive and very pleasant but not obtrusive."

"We choose the prime rib buffet on Saturday for Mother's Day versus the Mother's Day brunch on Sunday. That was a great choice, it was a lot more laid back and a lot less noise. The Mother's Day brunch is always great, just kind of hectic and loud."

"We had their seafood buffet special on a Friday night and their Saturday brunch the following morning. Both were great and the view out their large window of the Cheyenne Mountain was spectacular. The seafood buffet with shrimp, oyster, and crab legs exceeded what I expected and the brunch with made-to-order omelet along with all the other traditional selections hit the spot. Their great and friendly service topped off a wonderful experience."

"As a hotel manager I am always looking for places to recommend to my guests. I had heard very good things about the Mountain View Restaurant but had never tried it. When my Mother came to Colorado for a visit I thought it would be the perfect opportunity to try it out. I was not disappointed. The food was well prepared and seasoned to perfection, the atmosphere was casual but classy, the prices are extremely reasonable and the service was excellent. I will not hesitate to recommend this restaurant to all of my guests, family and friends."

"This is a hidden gem for the locals when it comes to their Seafood and Prime Rib Buffet. The best bang for your buck hands down and offers a variety of food items sure to satisfy every desire! The scenery is absolutely beautiful and the service is quite attentative. The main food items are fresh and delicious. Some of the side dish items could use some improvement though. Overall, one of my favorite places to hit on a monthly basis."

"This was our 4th or 5th visit to the Cheyenne Mountain Restaurant. Each visit has been a surperb dining experience. The Food is excellent and the presentation is surperior. Finally the Wait Staff are all pleasant and very attentative. I highly recommend the Resort's Restaurant and other facilities like the Will Rogers Room.
Chef Juan made a delightful dining experience truly extraordinary. I observed him making the rounds, visiting and greeting each table, and yet when he stopped are our table, it was as if we were the only guests in the entire Restaurant and that our favorable dining experience commanded 100% of his attention. He even prepared a Crème brûlée desert as a Birthday Gift to our Daughter."

"Good restaurant if staying at the resort. Otherwise, try one of the many other fine restaurants in Colorado Springs/Manitou. The food was pretty good but the wait staff was not trained, which provides a poor dining experience. When asked about a dish that had a Thai sauce the waiter said it was like "Chinese." Thai is definitely NOT Chinese. We asked another wait person about another dish & it was obvious that he wanted to say whatever he "thought" we wanted to hear rather than describing the dish. This is the fault of restaurant management.
The description on Open Table creates an image of a 4-star restaurant with fine-dining & this is what I expected. The resort may be 4-star but the restaurant isn't."

"The service made me never want to go back to this restaurant. The server was frustrated when members of our party didn't want to do the buffet option. He was rude on multiple occassions as well. When we were signing our checks he took them instantly (as soon as they were signed, which was at seperate times because we split checks), and was verbalizing his tips with a co-worker loud enough that we could hear him. Then he proceeded to stand behind people who hadn't signed their checks yet until they had. We only tipped 10-15% based on his performance (which was more than generous). It was very upsetting, so we complained to the manager who was fortunantely very kind and understanding. The food was good, nothing off the charts."
